Chicago's Steak and Seafood

This is the perfect type of place to take the in-laws. It’s classic American cuisine with no surprises. My in-laws love steak, seafood, chicken…standard American fare. All the usuals are here. The fried calamari, artichoke/spinach-type dip, a broad selection of soups, Caesar salad, some sort of salmon dish, chicken piccata… And this type of casual American food can be done well, and it can be done poorly, and this place knows their dishes, delivers a good experience and the servers really know how to handle the clientele! The servers are chatty and understand the menu well and know how to navigate the type of guest who is accustomed to having excellent (but unfussy) service when they dine. The portions are big without being overwhelming, and there’s enough choices on the menu that it’s not just limited to the standard American fare. (some items like bruschetta have actually migrated into the standard American fare repertoire, although they didn’t originate in North America).

The atmosphere is also unfussy, so that there are booths and it feels warm and welcoming, but the wood tones make it feel a little elegant. Nothing over the top. No outlandish decorations, no surprises, nothing to make people feel uncomfortable, no unusual or edgy artwork; it feels sort of standard American classic elegant-warmth.
My in laws (and my teens) enjoy this type of American no-fuss cuisine. The other thing that’s great about Chicagos is that there are no food surprises. When you order your steak, it’s not going to come with an unexpected sauce. Nothing will be deconstructed without being noted on the menu. Your salmon will not be topped with ingredients that you’ve never heard of.

The drinks are strong and large.

The server is a quick with the menus. And the food comes out quickly. They are quick to take the bill and give you to-go boxes and they check in on you.

The perfect place to take the in-laws or the grandmothers, etc. and the teenagers can find something they like on the menu as well because it is big. I wish they had one of these in my hometown, because we have lots of unusual (amazing) cuisines, and sometimes we struggle finding something that is American enough for my family when they visit from Wisconsin as well.

What a great experience we had at Chicago's! We had a retirement party with 20 attendees and it was absolutely perfect! Management was so helpful with the organization; the food was fabulous and our servers Skye and Kyle just made our party! Thank you to everyone! If you are looking for a wonderful restaurant Chicago's is your place!

New Years Eve family dinner was outstanding. The shrimp dip appetizer special was very good. I highly recommend the bone-in ribeye. It was cooked perfectly and almost melted in my mouth. Best steak in a very long time and it was accompanied by a house salad and a large baked potato. Both were very good. The chicken with cherries was enjoyed by one person as
was the shrimp and grits. Kyle provided excellent service. I am happy to say that Chicago's will remain on my list of favorite local restaurants.

Chicago's has been part of East Cobb for so long, it's easy to take it for granted. It's too pricy for me to go there often but when I do, I am never disappointed. The service is always excellent, with attentive servers, and food is delicious, starting with the fresh house salad with warm croissant. I love the shrimp and grits, my wife usually goes for a chicken pasta dish and my friends have high praise for the steaks. I also appreciate the local craft beers on tap.

Omg this place was sooooo good but first let’s talk about the server her name is Natassia. wow she was amazing I recommend to ask for her in advance exactly if you making reservations. We didn’t have to wait for anything we needed she stayed on top of everything she is very knowledgeable when it comes to the food and drinks . she is soooo sweet and funny and I must say VERY beautiful . The food was very good and fresh I will be back this place is 💯

Went here a couple days before Christmas. I’ve lived near this restaurant for years and had never been because it’s in a strip mall and next to a low end pizza place. Had appetizers, drinks and steak. Everything about this place is great. Looking forward to going back.

I usually rate places I go very high and the reason is I am very selective of the restaurants I give my business to. I expect good food and service and I generally get it. Chicago's was no exception. It provided a classy setting and great service for the food and drink last night. I will go back often. The New York strip steak was excellent!

Oh my! The food was so delicious . Everything we ordered from the Bruschetta, to the calamari’s, lamb chops, salmon, lobster, everything was so good.

They gave us warm croissants too. Our server was so pleasant and respectful. The ambiance was lovely too .

Just moving to Marietta in October I was noticing this restaurant for a while. Tonight we just decided to try it. Sitting in the bar with a full menu and AMAZING music. This by far was my best experience since I relocated. The food was amazing, drinks top notch and service 10 stars.

I just read a one star review from someone who posted 5 days about the service at this restaurant, and wanted to share our continued experiences with Chicago's, and why we frequent it so often. My husband and I will ONLY sit in the speakeasy lounge, because we know we will receive the absolute BEST customer service and care. Jennifer, Alejandra, and Sommer are TRULY the best at their jobs. They are very friendly, know the menu inside and out, are prompt and attentive, and continue to treat us and the customers around us with the utmost respect. That is why we continue to come back- because we are treated like royalty, as well as all of the other patrons in the lounge. I only encourage the poster from 5 days ago to give it another try, because her review was extremely inaccurate, and NOT how the bartenders or staff treat their customers at all.

Had a blast with my sisters at this restaurant last night. Great service, delicious food, wonderful staff and awesome atmosphere! Highly recommend the ribs, and shrimp & grits! You just can’t go wrong!

Been coming here for a long time now. No matter if during the week or on a weekend, no matter if in the bar area or main dining, always a nice experience with great food, drinks, and atmosphere. And seeing some of the below reviews, way off base. Management to staff and especially those in the bar always have great service and attention to detail. If you had a bad experience, or complaining about someone, I’m betting it was you.

AMAZING Food and Service. Eric was our server at a table of 6 and was amazing! Horseradish crusted grouper and parm risotto and the wedge salad were GREAT!

She rocks as a server...we were ALL happy campers when we left after eating delectable foods and fabulous drinks to wash it down!!! Hands down this was one of the BEST restaurants I've been to in a long time. Will definitely be putting this spot on the list of places to visit again and again‼

I don't know where to start. As a lover of food and one who loves cooking I take off my chef hat to this restaurant. I loved everything. From the appetizers to the entrée. My 3 favs right now Cesar salad, BBQ ribs and a Shrimp & Grits (your taste buds will never be the same again) Thank you for this experience

Love love love this place. Everything was 5stars - food, service, ambiance. I had the bone in rib-eye which was amazing, my friend had the shrimp and grits and couldn’t stop ooooohing and aaaahing. She totally loved it. Definitely recommend Chicago’s.
