Always find something interesting here, and their pricing on used CDs cannot be beat. Records as well!

Ask for help, and you'll receive it- I recently did a "crate" dig through all of their $1 records and found some gems- even some that were new! But one of the ones I found was in terrible shape, and the manager looked for another copy for me- couldn't find it, but did find some other copies of other records by the same artist. I bought one of them.

I've been shopping here for over 15 years, and I probably should've written this review ages ago. I absolutely adore Nice Price and the owners Enoch and Brian are really great guys.

They sell mostly used books, new and used vinyl, and CDs. They also have a ton of movies on DVD and Blu-Ray, comics and manga, cassettes, and plenty of excellent Nice Price merch.

Despite selling a lot of used goods, the selection still feels incredibly well-curated. They make a concerted effort to always keep an eclectic array of new & used vinyl on hand and new stuff is added almost daily. So regardless of whatever obscure sub-genre of music you prefer, you’re bound to find something you like.

They can also special-order music for you, which is something I ask them to do pretty frequently. The prices are always comparable or cheaper than what you’d find anywhere else, so there’s really no reason not to.

As for parking, I’ve visited Nice Price hundreds of times by now and have never had an issue. There’s an entire lot behind the store which always has empty spaces and there’s some street parking nearby. In recent years, signs have gone up to help prevent people who aren’t customers from parking here.

All in all, this is unquestionably my favorite record store in the area, and the only one I frequent anymore. It’s absolutely worth your time to stop in and browse from time to time.

One of my favorite stores for used CDs. Records are great deals here as well. I tend to skip the books here.

Nice prices, and a good selection of books and records. I always leave with a couple of books in my hand! They support Girls Rock, a local organization that empowers girls through music. Sometimes they host concerts.

Really cool place and I’ve found great stuff here. Definitely one of those classic college town bookstore/record store vibes I love. It’s not the biggest selection of books but their prices are really good! It’s not super cramped like a lot of other stores like this are- there’s lots of room to browse. It’s in a great location too!

I sold some old DVDs there. They didn't take all of them but they paid a fair price for the ones they did. Great place for albums if you want that too.

Great store. Everything a used bookstore should be - nice selection of vinyl, CDs, DVDs, VHS, as well as, of course, books. If you are looking for some hard-to-find science fiction paperbacks (or hard cover) they might have them here. I brought in some things to sell, and the bookseller was fast and friendly, quickly sorted my things, checked the quality and I feel gave me a very fair cash price for what he chose to buy. Conveniently located near NC State with that "college town" vibe that those of us who are older still enjoy very much. Quite a few people sitting outside eating at the place next door on the lovely fall day of my visit.

Definitely my favorite record store. Loads of new stuff, good deals on used stuff, nice people working there that’ll help you look for something. There are a lot of record store options in Raleigh and most of them are good for different reasons but Nice Price does everything very well. Unfortunately I can’t speak to the used book section of the store but I’m sure it’s nice too.

This is the spot! I've been going to nice price for over a decade now and I'm never disappointed. You can find anything there from vinyl, cassettes, CDs, DVDs, VHS, books, apparel, etc. Nice price has it all and I will always make it a point to stop by anytime I'm on Hillsborough st. The employees there are top notch and their taste in music is second to none. They're always easy to talk to whether it be casual conversation or recommendations on music. Anytime anybody from out of town asks me if there's places they should check out I never forget to bring up nice price.

I'm seriously in love with this place. I buy almost all of my records here. They have $5 grab bags that have 10 random 45's and I buy one at least once a week. They have an amazing selection of records and... nice prices. Pardon my pun. They also have t-shirts that are crazy soft, and an amazing rewards program. The employees are always super sweet and helpful, and they're always willing to look for something for you. If they don't have it, they'll help you find somewhere else that does. This is a great business and any record or book lover needs to visit at least once.

I buy a lot of records, and in the Raleigh area and I prefer to shop at Nice Price Books. They have a great selection of new vinyl. They're one of those places that tries to have one of everything in stock. If a new record comes out, I check with them and they usually always have it. And their "buy 10 get $10 off" stamp card is a nice plus.

This is right near NC State. The day I went, happened to coincide with graduation, so there were a lot of students and family in the area that day. None of that affected the book store, just commenting on it. Anyway, the store has books, LP records and movies. I liked the selection and bought a few things. I also noticed that they buy stuff there, so next I'm going to see how I do with a few albums, books and movies that are extra to me.

The smell of old books and the varied assortment of music and literature makes this place a must return. My son and I have found all manner of cds and tapes and books to keep us entertained for hours, since he got a functional tape deck and cd player I forsee many hours and many dollars spent in this fine little store.

I went in to unload a small box of VHS and cassette tapes I had had forever. They couldn't use all of them, but did offer to put some in their "free bin" and provided either cash or store credit for the remainder. I ended up using the store credit for a gift for my dad at Christmas and they gave me the remainder of that in cash. Overall, it was an awesome experience all around! I would highly recommend this store for unique finds and exchanges.

I've been going to Nice Price for 12 years, they always have something cool I want from books to movies to a great record selection. I f*ing love this place. Make sure you get a drink from Cup a Joe after you're done shopping- they have weekday specials and know how to caffeinate ⚡

I always fund new books to read at low prices here. My husband has found several awesome records. I love the free bin out front. A great stop on a day out and about. And lots of food places nearby within walking distance!
