Lovely hospitality! I came in unsure about my bass drum head size and I was offered to see different sized basses to make sure we pick out the right one. He also said that if it was wrong I could come back to get the correct one! Best Music Place 🙌

Having spent hours and hours at three Guitar Centers in the Atlanta area, plus hours more on various websites looking for an acoustic drum set, I accidentally came across AME on google, and called them to see what used sets they had in stock. Mike, the very polite, humorous and knowledgable owner, informed me of his current stock. So I headed over to the store and was delighted to see 5-6 different sets in my price range (including Gretsch, PDP, Slingerland and Mapex). After asking Mike way too many questions, and borrowing a pair of sticks to test the sound, I ended up choosing a beautiful, metallic silver, 5 piece PDP set. He'd installed new skins so basically I got these for 50% off the price of new. He helped load the set into my SUV and off I went. I couldn't be happier with the whole process, and strongly encourage anyone looking for used musical equipment to support this great local business - I bet you'll be pleasantly surprised as I was!

Great little music shop. They got everything you need to get started at fair prices. Anytime my kids want to learn a new instrument I’ll be going here.

I have an antique Japanese shamisen (looks like a skinny banjo) that needed refurbishing -- new skins, new strings, tightening of joints, etc. I brought it to Mike at Atlanta Musicians Exchange, and he found a specialist to work on it. The results were amazing! The piece is now beautiful again, and I will display it proudly. Happy to recommend this shop for repairs of even exotic instruments!

Great shop and great service! I took a bass drum in for some repairs and modifications and Mike did an amazing job for a fair price. Very knowledgable staff and tons of cool gear in there as well as all the basics a good shop should have. Happy with my experience!

In this store I get the best deal in the world for the items I bought. This is not an exaggeration, I do looked for those items even in UK and China, and Mike was able to gave me the best deal.

I want to address some of the reviews about this store here. Before doing my purchase I visited this store 3 times. Looking for prices, deals, and inventory; to then compare their stuff with what was out there.

This is an old school music shop compiting with the giant monopolies of Guitar Center, Amazon, and Reverb. (They are aware of it) They don't have the capacity (but most important, the soul) to hire an always smiling robot-person that knows nothing about music instruments, but that treat you like if you are in freaking Chick-fil-A.

Some days Mike was very nice, some days he was not in the mood to explain what for sure he had have to explain ten thousand times in his life. Like all of us, he is a human with good and bad days. Not a multinational corporation trying to please your mind so you buy more and more.

Being that said, in this store I found the best used gear in excellent condition at the best price. Go and try to negotiate a price on those big stores to see how that work for you. I tried, it didn't work. But in this store, with Mike, I was able to, and even ended with some gear and accessories threw in.

It felt awesome to support a local old school music store with the right price!

Bought a saxophone and a flute for my daughter at good deal. Very humbled gentleman and easy to work with. There are a lot of other musical instruments at good quality too. Will come back.

I stopped in because I had 2 issues with a trumpet. Because of a tight timeline they could only fix one issue. I was still happy they were able to fix one issue, but they refused to take any payment because they didnt get it perfect. These are some honest guys and I am truly thankful for the work they do. You can't go wrong with AME.

My Son takes Drum lessons with Bill Shirk and loves it. Friends and neighbors notices the improvement. We also purchases a nice set from Mike. Great price and service.

I very highly recommend Atlanta Musicians Exchange. I took in a vintage Ludwig Acrolite snare drum I bought on ebay that needed repair and cleaning. I received excellent service at a very reasonable price. The staff is friendly and professional. You're in great hands with these guys.

Atlanta Musicians Exchange is my favorite music store in Atlanta. Mike has sold several guitars and bass guitars for me. I have also purchased guitars and drums from Atlanta Musicians Exchange. Mike has also turned and old Ludwig floor tom into a cool little kick drum for me. If you are looking a cool independently owned music store... this is the place for you! Love this store!!!! Went to look at it guitar that was listed on craigslist. Owner was a nice guy that helped me find the instrument I was interested in, gave me as much backstory as he knew and did the trade fairly to get me to guitar that I came for. Look forward to a return visit

Great no-nonsense music shop. Nice folks who tell it like it is and don't try to "sell at you." For those of us on a budget, they give great prices, honest opinions, and genuine smiles!

Mike and Bryan have the best attitude and most expertise in the city. I cant go anywhere else and feel like I am getting the same service. They will make you happy no matter what you are looking for.

Mike and the team here do great work. Set up and tuned up an old strat copy that now sings without rattling E or crackling jack, switch and pots.
