We camped at Trimble Park for a week in early March in our Class C motorhome. The campground is small and quiet and very peaceful. I enjoyed walking the trails all around the park each morning and evening and watching the gator and birds.
There is a great Mountain Bike trail nearby in Mt. Dora (had to drive the bikes there though), we really enjoyed that. There's a little downtown area with shops and places to eat if you're into that. We walked through the market for a bit.
We would definitely return to this park, it's lovely.

This was our first time at Trimble Park.
We came here for a picnic and to take Cooper for an outing. It turned out to be a lot better park than I ever imagined. In fact it has become one of my favorite parks close to my home.

I found Trimble park by accident, it turned out a such pleasant surprise, and became my favorite park in Mt Dora area. It’s a wild jungle between 2 lakes, got both wooden walkways and natural dirt trails. There are plenty of picnic tables and grills, many are covered, perfect for picnic or BBQ parties.

Trimble park is the place you hope no one knows about and by not telling anyone what a fantastic place is, you will always have a great place to stay and truly enjoy natures gift.

Oh my gosh is this a hidden gem!! Gorgeous playground & park under high, Spanish moss-covered trees. Sure to be a hit with your family. Playground is a big worn, but it's large and was completely empty when we visited! The walking trails weave in-between Jurassic looking trees along a lakeside and are easily walkable for any age if you are able to pick your feet up over the occasional tree root. This park is a must see!

Camped here with friends this year. I have to say this place if a little hidden gem. The water, the trees, the camp sites. Everything was just great. Looking forward to going back again when we are in FL last this year. Oh and before I forget, you MUST check out the little town of Mount Dora. What a great place and also not to far of the Flee market, Cars and Guitars fair grounds. We had a wonderful weekend

We discovered this nearby park during quarantine and have returned numerous times. Great place to see wildlife and walk the dogs. The mix of natural trails and boardwalks makes it especially appealing.

Great park that has several piers for fishing and playground for kids. There are several shelters for BBQ or family handouts. The large oak trees which offer plenty of shade from the FL sun.

This is such a beautiful place to come and enjoy the outdoors! Very peaceful and barely anybody there. There’s also a trail by the playground you can go on which is very scenic and pretty.

I came here for the first time this past Monday. A friend suggested it, and my fiancé and I have been wanting to go camping again, so we drove over here to check it out first. No one was in the office yet, so I went home and called back at 2 to get information about how we could set up the reservation. I believe the man I spoke to was named Howard?
Anyway, Howard told me everything I needed to know including the fact that I would have to bring my own fire wood, check in starts at 2 and check out is by noon the next day (unless you're staying longer), the nature walk is about a half mile long, the cost to camp is $23. We absolutely loved this place! We camped in a tent. There is a huge beautiful lake right where we camped at called Lake Carlton, and we saw a huge gar swimming in there! There is also a firepit and grill to cook with, and a picnic table to eat on. 2 benches to sit around the firepit.
The whole area is kept very clean and maintained. It was mostly RVs, and I guess there are 2 sites that you can camp in using a tent. That is, unless you're camping with a group. There is a whole separate side for group camping. I kind of wish that there were more spots to camp in a tent over here, away from the RVs. That would be perfect! Anyway, we enjoyed our time here and we will definitely be back soon.

Beautiful small campground on the water. Truly lovely and peaceful. The bathrooms were clean with hot showers. Nice little playground. There are boat slips. On the other side of the park there's a boat ramp. Built-in fire pits and benches on every site. I did see a couple of raccoons but they cut themselves scarce and we're not aggressive.
