Great place to shop for all kinds of provisions, including nice clothes--even for just regular living (there's a nice selection of shoes & socks too!). Just took my husband there on his birthday, and he picked out two summer shirts and a pair of socks. The people there are friendly and offer help when needed but are not overbearing. While the inventory is all new, stylish, and made in accordance with emerging technology, the customer service is wonderfully old school. Highly recommended.

Had them hold a pair of hoka shoes for me. They did. Staff was fast and very knowledgeable

I just discovered this store, thought is more more of a fishing store (idk) from the outside. I was excited when I saw my favorite brand, patagonia!!

Went to buy a kayak and was impressed with the customer service and knowledge. Went above and beyond what most stores do to make sure I was happy with my purchase. He got my boat outfitted just perfect for me and showed me the ropes. Best service I have had in a long time. Will be a customer for life.

Super cool. The Raleigh store didn't have the size I needed so they emailed Chapel Hill. I slid in on two wheels minutes before they closed. They had already pulled my shoes and had me on my way without missing a beat. Great selection of both stores and knowledgeable staff. Go!

I went here to buy a pair of hiking shoes and the staff here was really helpful. They helped me try on different styles and sizes. I didn’t feel pressured to buy and I ended up buying a pair that was on sale. I learned that their return policy is about a month long, which is much shorter than REI.

Went here to purchase a kayak and the staff were extremely knowledgeable. Somehow there was some misinformation about the model I purchased so I returned it to upgrade and Eric who sold me the kayak took care of everything. By far the most knowledgeable staff and the customer service is unmatched. The entire experience was easy and they took this as an opportunity to correct a mistake and earn a customer. This is my first time shopping with Great Outdoor Provision Co. but through this experience I will be a life long customer. Truly 5 stars seems an understatement of how satisfied I am.

Gorgeous little outdoor shoppe. All staff that we spoke to/dealt with raised the impression we were the only customers while at the same time not being pushy. Definitely very rare these days to have such a calm and nice experience in a store! And they have a little sale section that's definitely worth a peek!

I like this store a lot. The staff is friendly and they have a decent selection. They didn’t have the Fly tying tools I was looking for but were able to special order them for me. They have a good selection of flies, and fly tying materials at a better price point than Orvis or Bass Pro Shops. My one gripe is that while I like the look of the wood floor in the store by it creaks a bunch when you walk around. My rating is more of a 4.75 than a 5 for that reason.

Awesome customer service! Bought a kayak from this store and they helped me load it on my car. The gentlemen at Great Outdoor Provision Co. even lent me straps to properly secure the kayak! I highly recommend giving them a call, they were great to work with even during the virus madness!

Great team here! We just purchased an Old Town canoe and everyone was very helpful. Eric answered all of our questions & explained our options for transporting the canoe since we did not have a roof rack - we went with foam blocks & straps. No one was pushy and we never felt pressured to buy "extras," which we really appreciated. Right after we left Eric called us to let us know we had accidentally been charged full price instead of the sale price, which is why we had come in but hadn't noticed during the transaction. We were able to be refunded over the phone.

Friendly staff did not feel rushed or pressured into buying anything, Parking around xmas was a bit challenging, but definitely not their fault. Good brands are available.

We started out today to buy water proof walking shoes. Well after two stores, we left with no product or service. And by chance we stopped by Outdoor Provision. And left with two pair of shoes. But more than that the great service and smiles from all the staff. Made an old man remember what service was like.

I've gotten over half a dozen pairs of shoes and clothing here over the years, and they last so well. Great quality, and even better customer service. I never walk in there without someone greeting me and seeing if they can help. But they're not pushy either. Good balance!

If you are in the market for kayak in the Raleigh area, Great Outdoor has the best selection. On top of that, the customer experience is excellent. Very knowledgable and helpful. They even installed my cradles and loaded my yak!

Extremely kind and helpful staff. We met up today with employee Chris Garrett who gave us more than an hour and a half of his time to pull a kayak off the top rack and answer every one of the thousand questions that my wife and I had for him. Chris was incredibly knowledgeable and personable. Never once did we feel as though he was pushing a product on us. I highly recommend coming to Great Outdoor Provision Co. for all your kayaking needs!

I worked here for a number of years. I can count on them to have gear and materials when I need something last-minute. They're big on maintaining all the colors and sizes of a particular item in stock. Cameron Village is the flagship store and is very well kept.
