Super Amanecer

I love to find a good Mexican breakfast, so after driving by this unassuming, colorful building that looked like a Latin grocery, I stopped in one morning and saw that the right side is a restaurant and the left side is the Latin grocery. The lady working the dining room didn’t speak English and when I asked if they had breakfast, she had to get someone to interpret – they told her to give me a menu and low and behold, they had lots of breakfast items!

I opted for Baleadas and since I needed to get to a meeting, I took it to go. It took about 10 minutes for them to make it and I was out the door. When I opened it, it looked delicious! When I cut into it, got a big piece of avocado and tasted it, I was very happy! It tasted absolutely amazing! The thicker tortillas were incredibly tasty! The portion was insanely huge and something that could have been shared with one or two people. The food was fresh and very tasty and the red hot sauce that came with it added a very nice heat to the dish.

I’ll definitely return here – Really good food!!

This place has things you cannot find at Wegmans or Kroger, like:

good deals on spices,
cotton candy,
large cooking pots,
passion fruit jam,
chocolate coating to dip bananas and other frozen fruits in,
Pepinesa sandwich spread made with sweet pickles and pimentos,
pineapple pie,
ground shrimp,
dried eucalyptus leaves (great for putting in a hot bath to open your sinuses and help you breathe better).

I can't wait to come back and try some baked goods.

Good food at a great price. Loved the yuca and platanos. The Pupusas were also very tasty. Would return/recommend.

EVERYTHING you could want from a small market. Very narrow isles, but SO much stuff. Restaurant has great food.

i ordered delivery from them, it took a little longer than i expected but it’s so incredibly worth it. tamales are AMAZING by my standards, portions are huge, it’s excellent.

Great place to go for a bite. Its currently closed(the restaurant portion) for renovations and expansion. The shopping section is nice and they have a great variety of things to choose from. If you're Hispanic and are looking for cooking ingredients you won't be disappointed and even if you're not you can make up new dishes. Prices are very reasonable and from time to time they'll drop a few item free of charge like a soda.

Found some good stuff her ei havnt seen anywhere where i live. I wish i had a store like this near me! Lots of great products!

Best cheap restaurant of Charlottesville, love the vibes, authentic food and great experience!!

WHAT A PLACE. I got steak and shrimp for like $16. Prices may have risen a bit due to inflation, but I still can't believe it. Such great quality food for a bargain. The service and the vibes were great. Walking in I was a little intimidated at first, but the waitresses were very nice. I would definitely recommend.

Wonderful employees so nice and helpful. This store is family-oriented and that's what's most attractive to me. And the prices were wonderful.

Affordable good Mexican food in Charlottesville, a rare commodity

Some of the most authentic Mexican food I've had in Charlottesville. The prices are very reasonable and the food is delicious. I went a little hard on the hot sauce they offered with the meal I got and it was spicy, so tread lightly.

Great authentic foods all made from scratch and love. The prices are very reasonable and there is a huge variety of foods to choose. The ladies working the the front and table are all so sweet ! Thanks for the wonderful experience. We will be coming again.

Anyone that gives this place less than 5 stars is a communist. If you like to eat real food like meat eggs and cheese this breakfast is where it’s at. Coffee is good too. Right off the highway literally.

An extremely impressive selection of Central American ingredients and cuisine. Staff was somewhat standoffish though. The attached restaurant is pretty good.

Found this jewel thinking it was just a Latino market. Amazing Beef soup.

My wife loves this place! Service is always on point, the portions are hefty and they are inexpensive. Would recommend visiting this restaurant at least once.
