Kuma Sushi Noodles & Bar

One of my favorite restaurants in Charlottesville. This is a charming little establishment that serves various delicious Japanese and Korean dishes. The owner is also extremely friendly and welcoming. Definitely try the Dolsot Bibimbap and Takoyaki.

Great food and reasonably priced! The place is super small so the food came out very fresh. It’s decently expensive (as with any sushi) but I would say it is very reasonably priced for the quality. They have a lot of great options and dishes you don’t see at other resutrants such as takoyaki. Highly recommend!

They get you right! Affordable and good tasting food! Good import beer if you want some Asian beers.

I really like there ramen! My friend is vegan and she gets there vegetable broth and I usually order Tonkatsu Ramen with extra spices on the side. There sushi are great too and if you're there, try tofu for appetizer! WoW! It blew my mind!

Such a gem hiding on the corner. The food is great and well priced. Service was awesome and there is even a convenient parking garage right across the street. Highly recommend Kuma, and most importantly I finally found a restaurant in cville that serves takoyaki! 🐙❤

Any time I miss home or want to experience the nostalgia that comes from eating authentic Korean food this is where I go. The staff is so nice and attentive. My favorite thing is the tteokbokki 🥰

Ordered the tonkotsu ramen as it was a rainy, cold day when I went. The dish was delicious and very filling. The charsu is probably one of the better ones I’ve had. Would totally recommend!

Shoyu Ramen, ( my 3yr olds favorite) Takoyaki and Seafood Pancake. Delicious!

Great little hole in the wall. Quick and friendly service. Got the bibimbap, it was fantastic. Great for a quiet lunch.

Uva area is always packed with good places to eat but i wasnt really in the mood to wait in long lines and I just wanted a quick bite to eat. As I was walking around I found this place. I didn't know the hours and it was close to kitchen shut down hours I asked the person working the front if they had time to prepare a bimbimbop. I was told 15 minutes and the bimbimbop tasted just like my grandmom used to make it so I was very satisfied with my dish. I will be coming back

Came up for a doctors appointment and found this amazing little place, food was GORGEOUS, and tasted so fresh and oh goodness out of this world, we will definitely be back!!!

Wow, went to this place because decent reviews was not disappointed at all. The food was on point. The wasabi, ginger, and soy sauce were amazing. Dumplings were delicious. Sashimi and rolls were fantastic. Staff were great.

I visited this place recently. I didn't expect Korean food from a Japanese restaurant, but they offered Jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup) and Soondubu Jjigae (soft tofu soup with various meat choices) which were hidden treasures. It tasted exactly what the food was supposed to be, a real Korean flavor. It's definitely a place you must visit

A nice place to have dinner and drink with friends. Personally, I recommend the Okonomiyaki, Tonkatsu, Tonkatsu Ramen, and especially the Soontofu Soup. Additionally, all the cocktails are pretty good, while personally, I like the Tiedye Vodka.

Overall, a really nice place to hang out with friends, by yourself or with family.

Such cute spot. Very friendly and fast service. I’ve tried many things on the menu, which were all very good. But the spicy seafood udon was definitely my favorite. The portion size was very generous and worth every dollar you spend.

The sushi rolls and ramen were amazing! The owner is super friendly and made great recommendations as far as what to order. The drinks were awesome as well. Try the sake bombs if you're not beer shy. I will definitely be coming back, not only for the food, but because the owner made such a lasting impression!

This restaurant is absolutely fantastic. I was surprised that it was not bust for a Saturday afternoon around lunch time. The sushi is so fresh, the udon is so flavorful, and the service was so prompt. I asked and our server said it was usually slow, which confused me because everything was so good, and it's a college town. You would think more people would want to eat there. But, nevertheless, I would definitely recommend this to anyone who has a sushi craving. 10/10

Kuma is amazing! They have the best rolls in Charlottesville, and all the food is great. One of my favorites is the seafood udon. Their sake bombs are great, my friends come every weekend for them. We love Young, she’s the kindest host.

By far the best place in Charlottesville. Great prices for GREAT food and even better drink deals. Lori and Young are the best and will make your experience memorable. Would highly recommend dining and drinking here. Get a sake bomb!! Absolutely love this place.

First time eating sushi and it was amazing 10/10 would recommend :)
