I thought the cheeseburger & hand cut fries were outstanding. The ½ pound cheeseburger was more than a handful of deliciousness. The bun was tasty, the beef was flavorful and the toppings were fresh. 😋 The hand cut fries were excellent. 🤌
The owner was refreshingly kind and friendly. The place was super clean.
Bodez has a comfy diner vibe boasting a bounty of interesting Chicago memorabilia.
I'll definitely go back to try the hot dogs and Chicago style Italian beef.

Best hod dog stand in Crystal River. Everyone should stop by. The owner is one of those good people your better for meeting. The kids love it here. They will even make you a pickle and bacon hot dog.

Got to try out this little gem, Italian beef was outstanding and the hand cut fries almost as good as Mom used to make. The Windy City paraphernalia adorning the walls just made the experience all the more enjoyable. Can’t wait to go back and try other sandwiches on the menu, although the Italian beef will be hard to pass up.

Quality hot dogs 🌭 and polish sausage made from Vienna beef. The atmosphere is like a coney island in chi town. They are super friendly.I make it my regular stop. You can eat inside at the mid century style counter or outside.

Have passed this place for the past year and a half. Finally decided to stop by and am very happy we did. Home town Chicago flavor in everything we had. Great Chicago dogs, Italian beef and the fries are the real thing. Will be back and recommend everyone in the Crystal River area to check them out.

Chicago hot dogs. Italian beef. Italian combo. Pizza puffs. Pop from the Chicago area i grew up with, including Dog N Suds, Dad's, and Green River. They feature Vienna beef products so you know it's good. And trust me, if you crave definitive Chicago food, it will satisfy that craving. The good people running the place are very friendly. Space is very limited when it comes to seating (there's like 7 stools at the counter and a two top), but it just adds to the atmosphere. Food is served up hot and juicy in a timely manner right after it's made pretty much right in front of you. I highly recommend going here if you need your Chicago food fix.

We stopped by for lunch and we're surprised by all the Chicago memorabilia. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The lunch was very good. It is a definite stop for us when we are in Crystal River and in want of a good, fast lunch.

Only place anywhere near here. You can get a real Chicago style hot and great fries!
I live about 1 hour NE of there been going there for several years. Paul is a really nice guy.

Pretty back yard/picnic tables, owner and staff welcoming, extremely clean, quaint/nostalgic/vintage like the good ol days like 50's diner. Scallops, catfish nuggets, sauces, Chicago hot dog and real fries fresh, homemade, and high quality. A pleasant surprise overall compared to most restaurants nowadays.

My wife and I were born and raised in the Chicago area. A Chicago style Hot Dog is absolutely the best comfort food with hand cut fries.. Now that we no longer live in the Chicago Metro area and now live in Hernando Florida, we can enjoy that comfort food again. We will be back. Next time I'm having Italian sausage and put Bodez to another test.

I will be honest..I drove from Jacksonville to meet some people because they were from their neck of the woods just to have lunch. I called ahead to make sure where I was going. Well I had to know. From start to finish this place was great! It will only seat so many people on the inside and to let you know the food was fantastic as well as the personal care that they put forward. Dont you dare put catsup on one of their dogs..hehe..you will be reported..It was a great experience and if they get too busy..there is out door dining as well. Loved it!!

Bodes is AWESOME! the Italian beef is the best you’ll find south of the Chicago (better than Al’s in the Loop as well). The dogs are great and remind me of Arnie’s hotdogs in Whiting.
Bodez’s is a must stop for anyone who misses the taste of Chicago

Great clean place with excellent Chicago style food..great conversations with owner who is from Chicago ..love it!!! My 90 yr old Dad had a great time too..Ty so very much, we will travel the 4 hrs to come back and have Lunch again..

You feel at home on the first time there.
Just don't ask for ketchup on the dog.
