Petite MarieBette

So good. Had the avocado toast with the butternut squash hummus, delicious! The French pastry, perfectly done. Had the Petite cannelé, financier and an amazing Kouign Amann. Everything really tasty and fresh.

The coffee here is very good. If you order a large it comes with four shots of espresso. The flavor of the coffee is delicious and bold. The food here is also very good. We got the avocado toast which comes with feta cheese which makes it savory and delicious. We also got the fifeville hot sandwich which was delicious as well with avocado and bacon. The egg and cheese sandwich was okay.

2nd visit:
Wow this place is absolutely cute! The food is so good and the pastry and coffee are all absolutely delicious. The coffee is bold and rich. They serve their coffee with a small piece of pastry called canales. They serve breakfast and lunch sandwiches here as well as freshly baked pastries and cookies.

We like the avocado toast and the fifeville sandwich. It's a juicy smoked turkey sandwich with avocado bacon tomato, etc. Must I say more.

My favorite is the Apple puff pastry. It is delicious and crunchy. I assume all other pastries are just as delicious here. You can't go wrong getting anything at this cute coffee shop. Service is good. If you are in Charlottesville, you should visit this place for great coffee and a quick bite

Don't sleep on Petite MarieBette. The seasonal specials are great and often where I end up vs MarieBette--see the Pumpkin Spiced Latte and Pumpkin filled Brioche Feuilletée. Also featured is the fried green tomato open faced sammich. Savory and sweet are on point. The spot is easy to get to downtown, and offers order ahead for takeout, which is nice. Finding a seat can be a tougher play as it's a smaller space, but mighty nonetheless!

Sidenote: I cannot emphasize enough that you can't go wrong at either location, Petite MarieBette or the original MarieBette. They place nicely together.

I cannot say enough good things about this awesome spot. It’s the go-to breakfast and lunch spot for our daughter who attends UVA. We eat here every time we visit and it is always perfection. Today we had the egg and cheese sandwich on a pretzel croissant (to die for!), the asparagus quiche (creamy with a flaky crust) a single egg (cooked perfectly) and a sticky bun with pecans (OMG so rich and good). We also had iced lattes (one with oat milk) and a double espresso. It’s a hopping place that is always busy. Don’t miss this gem when you are in Charlottesville!

Best coffee shop EVER!! I go multiple times every time I'm in town. Best flavored iced latte I've ever had and the hash is to die for!! Everyone who works there radiates kindness and I've never gotten something I don't love!! You won't regret going, I promise.

Very neat little French bakery and coffee house. Coffee was just okay (got a latte), but the pastries were absolutely phenomenal! Both the ham & cheese croissant and the petite kouign amann were possibly the best I've had in my entire life. Also tried the chocolate and hazelnut flavored brioche feuilletée which tasted great and had an amazing texture.

Super cute little cafe with delicious coffee, amazing pastries, and perfect breakfast sandwiches. I’m picky about my eggs and these were light and fluffy, not a flake of brown, and gently seasoned on a delicious croissant. Busy, but we were able to snag a table and enjoy our breakfast.

Smallish and pretty casual place, but oh my oh my the food ... Wowza. Scrumptious pastries, delectable sandwiches, generous tasty salads, really spot on coffee -- excellence simply abounds, no wrong notes. Recommended by a friend, and I recommend it to all. You might find yourself standing about waiting/wishing for one of the few tables at which to savor all this goodness, and the decor's low key, but those are observations, not criticisms. LOVE this place!

Such a cute little shop, right in the downtown area of Charlottesville. The food is good, and the coffee is well made. They have beautiful pastry’s! Definitely a place to check out in Cville!

I could survive off petite marie bette alone if I had to. A little dramatic but I frequent often. Lattes are incredible, food is good, and the people are nice. They know what they are doing.

Lovely spot in Charlottesville. The space is large and has several tables to accommodate guests. The coffee is amazing and the pastries are pure perfection. It is truly a fun and excellent place to hang out and enjoy some delicious noms!

Wonderful little bakery. The pastries we're fantastic. Some of the best French pastries I have ever had. Would highly recommend the hot chocolate with the fresh homemade marshmallows. It just made my day! It would be a fantastic place for lunch and breakfast. There are so many coffee and pastry options. Would highly recommend!

So good the phone just simply cannot eat first. Petite Marie Bette has been a little safe haven of mine for a few years now. I remember being annoyed when they opened because at the time I thought I had left Charlottesville for good and was like, "Of course something like this would open when I leave." As is the story for many of us here, I somehow ended up back in Charlottesville and PMB helps me to romanticize my time here.

My go-to is the BEC on their sourdough. I'm sure I've spent at least $500 on these (judge me idc). The petite canele. Their hot cocoa month. And an oat milk matcha latte.

I've been going for a while
Maybe once or twice a month. The chocolate almonds croissants are incredible and they coffee/espresso is great. Friendly service and a cool spot downtown

Shout out to the stellar staff! Friendly, fast, and very thoughtful. It's hard to go anywhere else in Cville after coming here. Get the sticky butter pecan bun.

I probably couldn't rave enough about this place. The Honey and Salt latte was delicious, one of the better that I've had, which came with a petite canelé. The apple galette and hame and cheese croissant were light and flavorful, the atmosphere was amazing. Definitely visit here if in the area.

The pain au chocolat and pretzel croissants are the best. I always order an americano and I love the little canelé that comes with it. There’s not a lot of seating inside or free parking on the street but it’s definitely worth a trip even to take home and enjoy.

This bakery is amazing! I tried several different pastries and got a baguette, they’re all delicious. The staff is friendly and welcoming

Excellent coffee and amazing baked goods. The Almond Croissant was heavenly. Well worth it.
