Excellent shop with fresh pasta, pizza, sandwiches, and speciality food items from Italy.

While staying in the area for work, I stopped in for a very late lunch (just a sandwich), not knowing this was not only a restaurant (with pizza, pasta, and sandwiches to take out), but also a little “take & bake” and Italian grocery store. After ordering my sandwich, I saw many things that caught my eye, on shelves and in their freezer, so I ended up picking up several more items to take home.

My sandwich was AWESOME! I got the Val d’Aosta Sandwich and the focaccia it was on was incredible! The meats, toppings, etc all came together perfectly and it was really tasty!

I’d love to go back and try their pizza next time…. They have a beautiful brick oven pizza flaming up in the kitchen, which is viewable from the store. Staff was very helpful and friendly too! Highly recommend!! But if you want to dine in, it’s more of a carry-out with one (maybe two?) table for two inside.

I love this place. Such a great lunch spot. Salads and sandwiches are so delicious. Pizza is great aswell. Grab a frozen lasagna for dinner.

Great all around. I just wish they were open until 8 for pizza.

Finally found somewhere I can get olive oil in bulk! It's great quality and I'm going to try their balsamic vinegar next. I also got their stuffed shells and oh my are they absolutely bomb❤

I love this little gem. The food is great. My favorite pizza in Cville. The frozen products are great takeaways - got the frozen pumpkin ravioli for dinner tonight. 👍🏼

You have to try the sandwiches!! They are some of the best in cville no doubt. They also have a great selection of homemade pastas ready to go. If you're craving anything Italian this is the place!

Great prepared food and ingredients for delicious Italian meals. Their limoncello marsarcapone cake is amazing. They have a great wine selection and some ready made sauces. Stop by this gem of a shop!

You can't get better pasta in Charlottesville. You can't even get close

I picked up sandwiches here for a wine tour picnic and it was just perfect. We called in an order and they were ready with it on time and in boxes. We had two sandwiches with special orders, which they accommodated with no hesitation (and were really clear in the labeling as well). The staff was very nice and helpful, even providing us with paper plates and napkins. The food was tasty and everyone commented on how much they loved it. The prices are a steal and the sandwiches are large portions.

I will be thinking about this food for days. The soup was incredible. The sandwiches were amazing! Grabbed some pasta to take home and can't wait to make it. This place is a gem! YUM!

I've been delivering here for a few months and it always smells good when I come in. Today I had some time to grab a bite so I did just that. I asked for a slice of pizza because I've had a hankering for NY style pizza since I've moved to Virginia and haven't had any luck. I can say that this pizza was awesome!!! Close enough to NY style without the greasiness. The price was also reasonable compared to other pizza joints in town who can't match this place at all. Keep up the good work. I'm coming back to try more dishes.

We ordered two days of lunch catering through Jim at Mona Lisa Pasta, and will definitely be using them in the future! 50+ people all loved the food. The first day was a variety of sandwiches and the second was lasagna, so it was easy to use the same place but feel like a different meal. The food was plentiful, and there were good vegetarian and gluten-free options for folks with allergies. Highly recommend

Very easy place to get some wonderful catered food! Also, while you're there setting up your catering, don't forget to get a piece of some of the best pizza you'll ever have! The crust is to die for! :-)

This is one of my favorite places to go in Charlottesville and is truly a hidden gem. They make their own pastas and sauces fresh and at a very affordable price. A pound of pasta is $5 and their sauces are under 10. My fiance and I have eaten in many times from here and I would say it's as good as Italian restaurants in the area. Save your money and pick up a sauce and a pasta for $10-$15 and get a bottle of wine. Your night will be way cheaper and just as good as eating out.

I never write reviews but Mona Lisa Pasta is worth the time to say a
few words about how awesome their food is. Their custom sandwiches are THE BEST I’ve had in Charlottesville and I have always had an excellent experience here. Not only is their food amazingly tasty but it’s also affordable. I make pasta @ home but when I don't
have the time this is the place I would go for anything Italian. Awesome place, awesome atmosphere, excellent customer service!!! I would put it on my top 5 places to get food to go in Charlottesville.

Yet another of Charlottesville's little gems. Fresh pasta cut to order, TONS of Italian specialities, a nice selection of wines, fresh sandwiches and brick oven pizzas. For my first visit, I was running late and they held the store open an additional 15 mInutes for me AND there in some free bread with my order. Definitely worth a stop, people say the pizza is excellent!

Love this place! They have great sandwiches and some of the best pizza in Cville. One employee in particular, Christa, puts a lot of effort into constructing photo-worthy sandwiches. So good!

Awesome sandwiches! The pastas and sauces are fantastic. The ability to grab frozen ready to cook meals is awesome - much better than the frozen grocery store alternatives.
