Medina Market Halal Meat & Groceries

What an amazing market!!!
I never give out 5 stars so easily, but thus market deserves it. I asked questions and the staff was very helpful. Everything is neatly organized and the store is super clean!!! Many varieties of rice, beans, legumes, spices, teas, fresh and canned fruits and vegetable you can't find in regular markets. I went in to look and left withtwo grocery bags full. I will be back.

This place is bigger now. You can get halal meat here.

Best Middle Eastern/Halal market in Virginia not only Charlottesville, brought all middle eastern favorites to town. Highly recommend it!!

Only place in Charlottesville to get goat meat. The meat is excellent in quality, fresh, and very fairly priced. They get goat delivered on Thursdays and Sundays, so you may not find it on other days.

The store also offers a good selection of Middle Eastern and South Asian spices and dry goods as well as other items like flatbread and a few fresh veggies. Clean interior and good service to boot. Well worth a visit.

With a great selection of Mediterranean, Middle-Eastern, and Indian products, Medina Market is a gem tucked away in Albemarle Square. They have fresh, Halal meats, homemade desserts, and tons of spices. The staff is warm, accommodating, and ready to answer any questions you may have. The store will also be expanding soon. We have made it a weekly stop since we found them.

Reza and his staff welcomed our entire family into the store with open arms. Being a family of immigrants, we were so excited to see some of the groceries we haven’t seen since back home. We are so happy to have this store in our community.

Finally, a one-stop international store in Charlottesville that I’ve been looking for a while. I used to travel to northern VA for certain merchandise but now I don’t have to. The store is very clean and friendly professional staff. The owner, Reza is awesome and very welcoming. I highly recommend you to visit the store.

Medina Market has great selection of Middle Eastern foods and spices. The store has incredible diversity of products at reasonable prices. Best place to shop for fresh halal meat and naan.

Their halal meats (beet, goat, chicken) are very fresh and you can choose the part of the meat (beet, goat) you want to buy. They will cut them into smaller pieces as you want. Also they have lots of spices which I haven't seen anywhere else.

Nice store, excellent service and products for sale. Ever expanding inventory. Nice butcher shop with custom cuts of meat
