C’ville Oriental

I just stopped in, because I forgot to have dessert at WOOD GRILL BUFFET. However, I got a few items and these delicious morsels (see picture). YUMMY!! 😋

Prices are incredible, amazing delicious products you can't find anywhere else. I live 40+ minutes way, but it's worth the drive!

I'm in love with this place! Amazing selection in all departments. I went looking for mochi (several options available) and found so much more. The frozen section was especially good for many types of steamed dumplings, which is on my list for next trip.
Market was clean, lots of room to navigate easily and staff was super friendly. Easy in and out parking with plentiful space.
Definitely going back soon!

Coming here from 8300 miles away in the Pacific, the ingredients for the dishes from my region are scarce. C'ville Oriental has what I need to get the job done in the kitchen. Cooking Asian dishes? This is your Charlottesville GO-TO-PLACE! Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Malaysia, Vietnam, Philippines and everywhere in between; they have what you need to get you that taste of home dish. They even have Pork Bellies, Beef Shank Meat, Soup Bones, Tripe, Tilapia, Grouper, Golden Pampano, Mackerel, etc., etc.

A huge selection of dumplings, shomai, siopao, siobao, frozen turon, gyoza, soy sauce(light and dark) Annato(achote) seeds or powder and so much more!
They even have what you need to make your own lumpia fresh if that's your preference. Fresh Veggies??? YOU BETTER BELIEVE IT! Bok Choy, Napa cabbage, Kang Kong, egg plants, and even fresh Thai Red Peppers, plus so much more.

A huge assortment of beans too, even Mung Beans(monggo). Noodles and rice assortments that will satisfy your cravings.

Great store with awesome products. My go-to spot for all the hard to find products. Bring a bag, but if you buy enough they will offer you a box to carry your stuff out.

Excellent market for any oriental food needs! My wife is gluten-free and so we buy their rice noodles and use them as pasta for just about anything! Their pad Thai sauce is also amazing and this is a great place to get Beansprout fresh from a cooler!

Best place for east Asian food shopping in Charlottesville. They regularly rotate their stock too!

Has plenty of Chinese cooking wine. And open on Friday after 6pm the eve of Lunar New Year.

Great selection of items with clearly marked English translations on the shelves. Employees are helpful when asked questions. Carts and baskets are available for shopping. Boxes are provided if needed for purchases. I suggest that you bring your own bag if you need one. Lots of parking available.

Love this Asian store. Everything is authentic for our favorite meals. The ladies are always helpful and friendly!

Very well stocked, lots of different imports from different cultures, lots of hard to find produce and usually pretty good quality. Most items have English translations so it's not so intimidating.

My only Cville Chinese grocery shopping place. The lady in front is really nice and helpful. The selection is large. The price is reasonable. The store is clean.

Very good selection. Many types of produce of good quality. I found everything I needed, and even got some recipe tips from the cashier! (Hot and sour soup) My only disappointment was the live seafood deli area is closed, but in current times that's understandable. Still a 5 star spot for me.

Very comprehensive East Asian foods store with a wide range of products at much lower prices than what you can find in international foods stores. I go here to find a diverse variety of items for Chinese, Thai, and Japanese cooking and I've never had a problem with quality of ingredients that I've bought here. Always well stocked, organized, and clean.

They have a huge selection of items and the prices are right. All the prices are clearly marked. The produce looks and tastes fresh and the kimchi rocks. I like shopping at this locally owned grocery store. Don’t take it for granted, focus on what matters and try something new.

I like this place! The selection is pretty varied as far as brands and origins go. I'm happy to be able to buy garam masala from an actual store as opposed to ordering it online like I used to. Also, I'm seeing a lot of things I grew up with, and I always end up getting a snack from the impulse aisle! Not to mention I'd like to buy all of their cute dishware sets.

All in all, it's definitely worth the 45-minute drive from out of town. =)

A little bit of everthing to make your international dinner complete. Also many cooking tools and some novelty gifts as well. All very affordable. Things you will not find in other stores.Great customer service, willing to help. A must try if your going for authentic Oriental.

Employees are friendly and the store always has good selection. One of the best oriental stores in the area!

Well, first there is the wide variety of vegetables, the best sweet potatoes (Korean) lots of seeds and grains and noodles, and a wide variety of sauces, frozen foods and fun Asian hospitality items. Our family has a "pick one thing you have never tried before" attitude for our shopping, and for us it's a great place to explore flavours and textures, and lots of new foods added to our diet as a result.
