The best storage spot hands down. No hassle and secure. Used by great musicians to hold road gear such as LaQuinn and they are extremely understanding.

Quick registration and ultra convenient if you live in or near the city center. It can get a little tight when several people are putting stuff into/out of storage if you drive a larger vehicle.

I would highly recommend NOT renting at this storage facility. My storage unit was broken into during November, 2017. There was someone systematically breaking into units looking for valuable goods, then replacing a cheap lock on the unit so people do not notice. Luckily my unit was full of items that could not be easily transported or moved, despite the fact they were valued at $10k. found my cut lock inside the unit after using a hacksaw to saw off a different lock. No surprise this is happening though, because the owners, Building Management Company, had done nothing to keep up the property. I have photos from the same day/time period of live wires hanging inside of my storage unit, broken glass throughout the access roads, a pile of empty beer bottles, trash, a half-open raw steak, and four lights that were out just near my unit. Not to mention, there were NO security cameras, and No fences around the property. After my ordeal of spending 3 hours involving the police, cutting off a different lock, spending $10 on a hacksaw, and losing my $15 lock, the Building Management Company refused to give me a refund for those items or the $90 monthly storage fee. They sighted the lease agreement I had signed, which makes them exempt from any liability due to theft or damage and said, "Accidents happen." But this is no accident. A day after my incident, the owners sent out an email to all the tenants acknowledging that "several of the units at City Center have had their locks cut off and the units have been entered by unknown persons." Besides notifying the police, the owners are doing nothing to actually manage the property, and CERTAINLY nothing to show to their customers that they care and feel bad about the burglary incidents. I'm writing this review to call out the Building Management Company, and warn other people about the burglar who likely will continue to break into these units unless more security, cleanliness, and signs of a human presence are enacted at City Center Storage, Charlottesville. Any local business should treat customers better than I was treated.

There apparently are several levels of management for this place. I rented a storage unit but never was granted access back in February due to an ice storm. I was told three days after I initially rented it that I would get a refund, since I needed a place quickly, (we had just sold one of our rental houses) and so rented elsewhere. After 4 tries over several months, and threatening to bring fraud charges, I finally got one today. I don’t know whether it’s the city center storage management or the company they used to handle questions. I think it should be clear that there’s no office on site as far as I can tell . Everyone I talk to is very nice but somewhere along the way communication broke down. There never was a question in anybody’s mind whether I was do a refund either. So I can only assume that if problems came up the same process would occur if for instance there was water damage or something else I can only assume it would take the same amount of time to resolve that. It should be clear that I never actually even occupied a unit there, so don’t know how it would be to actually store things there.
