Molokini Island Preserve

This was one of the most rewarding dive sites ever. We were fortunate enough to swim with a monk seal on our first tank at dawn. The visibility was about 90-100 feet! We also had a dolphin escort us on the way in and watched whales on the way out. I highly recommend booking your dive/snorkel ahead of time. Earliest slot is best for visibility and calm. We booked our dive with Maui Dreams Dive Co. which contracts out to Island Style Diving boat which left the harbor just before dawn. Sounds early, but it got us there as one of the first boats before the crowd. The crew provided ample dry storage onboard and lots of fruits, muffins, chips, and bars.

What an amazing site! The water is so clear and there is so much to see! I loved snorkeling and freediving the Molokini Crater!

We were able to take a snorkel tour-do not miss out! The snorkeling was fantastic, the crew was wonderful. They had fruit and pastries (coffee) for breakfast and turkey sandwiches for lunch and a cookie for disembarking. Don't forget to tip! It's customary to give $10 for each person from your party. We headed to go see the turtles on our second stop. Warning do not touch or harass the turtles! Having said that a few of us had a hard time keeping the turtles away from us.

So beautiful! The water was incredibly choppy on the day we went, but so amazingly clear. Pride of Maui was our charter and we cannot recommend them enough.

Must see snorkel tour on Calypso. Wonderful crew! Captain is so funny. Family friendly, good food.

Amazing, snorkeling! Great views, and just a peaceful atmosphere. The waters are crystal clear and you can see for ever all the wildlife, fish, and even monk seals! Awesome, awesome, Awesome!

So beautiful! Sharks and birds and a multitude of sealift. Will come back with Scuba Shack next visit. FABULOUS!

You do need a boat to get there. We joined a tour that brought us there on a cruise. This time water was clear with excellent visibility. Second time visiting this spot 5 years later. The snorkeling experience was so much different than the first time. Remember your snorkeling experience is greatly affected by the weather and water condition. It is purely luck. Highly recommend you bring your own fins so you can dive deeper to swim with the fish. Be sure not to touch the coral on the bottom!

Beautiful place! Great place to go snorkeling. Also if you let me to go scuba diving I recommend the scuba Shack. We saw sharks, eals and lots of fish

This was an amazing place to snorkel. So many fish and beautiful coral. It's amazing to be swimming in the mouth of a volcano crater! Even saw an octopus swimming at the bottom of the coral. So beautiful and peaceful. Highly recommend!

Awesome area to catch fish and snorkel. The sights are beautiful along with occasional views of whales or dolphins. The water feels amazing!

This was the best experience going to Maui! Going snorkeling at Molokini with Aloha Blue. The boat is smaller , but more personalized. This is our second time going to maui and going to Molokini island. Bring your Go Pro and enjoy your time in the water.

BEAUTIFUL island. Went on a snorkel tour and this island was definitely the highlight. The water was crystal clear and very blue. Great visibility for snorkeling. You need a reservation to go on a Molokini tour, so make sure you book that beforehand. There were many types of fish and eels in the water! The birds were flying overhead, too! Overall beautiful and an amazing experience.

Molikini Crator is one of those activities you can not skip while on Maui. The natural beauty of the coral formations and the diverse species of fish are absolutely mind-blowing. I only went once on our trip, but if I went back, I would consider going twice on two different boats. If you have an underwater camera, definitely bring it!

Where else can you say you snorkelers in a crater, nowhere. I'm not a swimmer, but would not pass up a chance for this adventure. I used a life vest and was completely comfortable snorkeling even being I've only snorkeled twice before.

Great snorkeling. Clear water, and not too deep. Great variety of fish and other ocean life.

The best snorkeling I have ever seen. Crystal clear water. Hundred of fish. Tons of live coral. I saw a 4 foot eel.

Always a great dive spot. Usually very calm so snorkeling is an option. Drift dive on the back wall is superb...sharks, eagle rays, lots to see.
