Big Beach

Amazing beach! As the name suggests, this beach has lots of space. The sand is very soft and the water is warm. Waves can get a bit strong during the day. Overall it's a great spot to relax and unwind. Arrive early to get a close parking spot, but note that payment is required for parking and entry.

Beautiful... some of the clearest water I've been in. Went snorkeling, saw a turtle and lots of fish. You can see 15-20 ft. Loved everything. Brought a boogie board, and even the kids had a blast. Gotta be careful with kids though. Waves pull and crash hard. Parking is easy and lots of it. We went at 8:20am so that might of played a part in that. Also there is tons of room on the beach, so no worries being on too of your neighbor. There's port a pottys, but no rinse stations. Food truck shows up around 9:30am. Enjoy, we all sure did.

Gorgeous beach with white sand like in Caribbean. Not too crowded. Nice waves, kids had fun. But you can't let them swim unattended. Waves can be strong.

Beautiful beach, make sure you observe the waves before entering. Several years ago I broke my leg when a rouge wave pounded me to the surf. Went on line later to discover that many injuries have occurred on this beach. Please be careful...

Amazing quiet beach! Go early because parking is at a premium, also, every time I've been there are clouds in the afternoon. Great Little Beach just over the hill, although there's quite hike involved.

Big Beach is a very big beach. There is paid parking or you can park on the side of the road. The waves get big here but just make sure to be careful.

You think you know what you're doing and these waves will still mess you up. I'm a fairly experienced ocean swimmer and I can get positively ANNIHILATED if I'm not paying attention and one of these whips me. This is not a standard wave beach! I can't stress that enough. Otherwise it's gorgeous.

Beautiful large beach. It was windy when I went and the surf was rough with some strong currents. There is a lifeguard stand, but one was not on-duty when I was there.

Great beach to relax. Get there early for parking. During its peak time it doesn't feel too crowded due to the size of the beach. You're not on top of anyone. The surf is strong though. If you're not a swimmer I do not recommend you go past your knees. The waves break right on shore and have some power behind them.

It's a big beach. The surf can be rough - so if you're unfamiliar with beach life, be cautious. If you're looking for a quiet corner of beach for yourself this is the beach for you. The waves are break the largest at the south end, but are still rather large along the rest of the beach. There are two parking lots: one at the northern end and one near the middle.

Really great Beach to go to in south Maui. There are life gaurds here so you can feel a little safer. There are flash riptides but if you pay attention and are a decent swimmer you will be fine. The food truck in parking lot is a nice bonus to going here too.

Free paved parking, Bathrooms, No foot wash station, not wheelchair accessible. Large beach with lifegaurd.
