Matsy's Restaurant & Catering

Only open 5-9p, very limited menu and pricey. They have prime rib for $30 and $34 Friday and Saturday only which is what I went for but couldn't afford it. I got their finger steaks $16.95 that came with fresh baked bread, iceberg lettuce salad with just 2 choices of dressing (ranch and a sweet vinaigrette) I got vinaigrette that was Asian and quite good, choice of regular or twice baked potato, plain rice or pasta. I chose the twice baked that had cream cheese, green onion stuffed into the potato skin (delicious), and stir fry zucchini, carrots, onions, with some herbs resembling oregano (I didn't care for the flavor of it, but I don't like oregano). Overall the food was wonderful, service was attentive and the atmosphere was clean, open.

Food is amazing best finger steaks in town just saying always friendly waitresses and it's always good atmosphere with the fire place going when it's cold radio playing country decent variety on the menu u can book bigger tables in back room can seat around 20 people or so or side room can hold about 15 people.

This is my first time going this place and I have to say it was a very good restaurant. Although I ate the Lunch side of the Menu, it was very good. I had ordered Teriyaki Chicken thigh with rice. While my other relative had ordered Teriyaki Salmon with noodle. They had said the noodle was a little hard. But nonetheless, very good food.

The restaurant itself looks a tad bit wacky at first. But hey! You can't judge a book by it's cover.. I give a total of 5 stars!

Best finger steaks in the valley!

First time there. Was there for supper hour. Was a little pricey for us to eat there alot but for sure we can work it out so we can enjoy the food again. Staff was very pleasant. I recommend it for sure.

Never had matsy's before but decided to cave in and try them out after all the things I've heard. I ordered the chicken friend steak with a side order of fries. The meat was perfectly cooked and the presentation was very professional. The restaurant was very clean and tidy. The server was very professional and paid attention to detail very well. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Hands down, the best meal I've had in a very long time! It's FOR SURE worth the drive from Baker and/or Boise!
And to top it off the service was phenomenal! The waitresses were attentive and nothing but smiles and sweet conversation!

I love Matsy's food because it is so authentic and delicious! They aren't going for looks, just value and taste I believe. It is a wonderful place for a get together, too. Very pleasant staff and I didn't feel like ingnored or anything!

Wow, mixed reviews from folks on this site, but take my word for it, VERY good!! The wait staff friendly and personalble, the restaurant clean and uncluttered, the presentation of the dishes excellent. Finally the food is wonderful, large portioned and flavorful. The house dressing was yummy on a huge salad, the bread warm, soft served with real butter tabsl. The twice baked potato, so good, I had chicken balenese (sp) and enjoyed it with the wine sauce and mushrooms. Fresh vegi's ingrediants and fresh fruit cup all included. I've seen the place many times but just stopped in, so glad I did. DO IT! If you find my review helpful check the link below.

My job has placed me in Ontario for the last year and a half. Consequently I have tried every restaurant in here. I must say Matsys is excellent and my favorite. Easily the best steak in town and even the side salad is not only very pretty but delicious. They have homemade bread they serve with the meal and they make an awesome double baked potato. All reasonably priced with great prompt service. The waitresses smile and appear to be having a good time. I would strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys good food and service for their money.

Steaks, sushi and tempura #yum :) Had a family gathering at Matsy's to celebrate my grandma's bday and they're were more than accommodating to our dinner requests and size of our party. Thx Matsy's!

Fast service and great food.

Prime rib and sautéed veggies were perfect. Great bread and salad too. Service was excellent! We will return soon 😍
