The Train Cars Coffee and Kava

A great place to stop as you travel through the mountains. The food was great, and the staff were excellent. They use ild cars and caboose. Very nice.

Their coffee was great, the place is so cute. Walls are filled with art, the old train cart is beautiful.
The staff at the place was so friendly and nice. We had wonderful conversations with them.
Initially we only wanted coffee to go, but when we got inside we wanted to stay and take it all in.

Wow what a find! Best breakfast sandwiches in 30 miles, The old train cars are always warm And as inviting as the people working it. The espresso shots are perfect mochas even better.
Be sure to grab a pound or two of coffee to go bring the taste home with you!

Easily my favourite coffee shop in the entire USofA. Beautiful building/vehicle, super nice staff, lovely roasted great coffee, and as an added bonus... fantastic tamales (among other food that also looked great). Local artwork displayed inside - it's lovely. Great place, great folk. Thaaanks

I went to the train coffee shop they have wonderful breakfast there sandwiches and burritos. They also make their own homemade donuts that they'll powder and sugar for you if you like they are amazing. They have many flavors of coffees for you to enjoy and they have outdoor and indoor seating and the place is very comfortable.. Everyone in there was amazingly friendly and I was quite surprised

We love the train car donut and coffee shop. This has been our secret getaway spot for years. My kids love this place, they love the games, piano and kid upper deck. I love their tea selection too. Their food menu is great too, salmon bagel for the win.

I really enjoyed the vegan burrito and am grateful but it cost me $16 with tip and wasn't even very big. This is a really cool place but I probably won't stop here again for food with the prices being that steep. Edit: the owners reply makes me rethink this as I do support the local ingredients and ability to pay a living wage to employees!

I had the absolute pleasure of having a Kava pina-covada at this very cozy establishment and I wish I could have it everyday. Recommend 10 put of 10!! Thank you Jesse for the wonderful hospitality. It was so great to meet you!

This is such an awesome coffee shop! Really cool atmosphere inside three old train cars. Food is great, staff is welcoming and friendly, they've got wifi, and their coffee tastes great. It's NOT that new "sour" coffee that all the hipster places are serving. They've also got fresh house made mini-donuts, Kava drinks at a great prices, and food/bagel sandwich options too!!!

Visiting Ned from Chicago. Stopped at Train Cars Coffee for breakfast and coffee. Ordered the Fat Sammie breakfast sandwich —-holy smokes!! It was incredible! It felt like it just melted in my mouth. Best bagel breakfast sandwich I’ve had ❤ They also offer doggie treats and a fancy pup cup! Staff was super friendly and kind. Will be back during this trip!

These guys are awesome! The people are nice, mini donuts are on point, but my favorite thing on the menu is the kava. Pina Kavada is the best

This is the best coffee and yogurt stop along Rt. 119. The atmosphere and vibe is super cool and worth the stop. Either grab a coffee or a yogurt, the cozy up in the train cars that make the building. It's definitely rad to hole up in the cupola in the old caboose. The location is right in downtown Nederland and easy to get to.

Quaint and fun spot for a quick brew or bite. Sandwiches and bagels available. Also, ample outdoor seating for enjoying the mountain weather.

Really cute stop! My friend got a chai latte and loved it. I got the lavender lemonade and also enjoyed it. Would definitely recommend this spot for a stop for a hot or cold drink.

Anytime I’m in Nederland you’ll find me here getting coffee. I love this little train car coffee shop. Great free WiFi and my husband loves the sugar donuts.

We stopped here in Nederland on our way to our honeymoon. Such a wonderful place and great atmosphere with really sweet staff. We tried an Irish crème breve and a hazelnut cappuccino with “the works” mini donuts. We regret not getting the full dozen! The donuts are made fresh and have a nice soft crunch on the outside and super warm on the inside. Definitely recommend this place, they have the basic coffee flavors, and can do hot or iced. Next time we come, we will try their sandwich’s/bagels and/or breakfast burritos!

this place was amazing!! super cool atmosphere, awesome location, great food! i got the lox sandwich and my husband got the locomotive! we got married this morning and when the man taking our over heard this he handed our card back and took care of our meal for us! we will definitely be back before our trip is over!
