Heavenly Valley Lodge

The shuttle bus is right outside. Great for access to the slopes for skiing. The rooms are quiet, very clean, warm, cosy, comfortable and dry. Small fireplace, good storage and cute homey details. Simple kitchenette (coffee, tea, cups etc provided). The room was cleaned and there were fresh towels every day. Perfect stay for a weekend ski trip. I'll be staying again.

Was a very cute place. Cabin feel but with hot water. It is very small though, we didn't have any issues just the 2 of us.
Close to heavenly, close to lake.

Perfect for what we were looking for - cabin feel while still being close to town and skiing! Our trip was only one night but would easily have stayed longer. Upon arrival Daniel was onsite to help us with check in questions and getting the fireplace going. He was so friendly and helpful and even provided us some fantastic recommendations for live music and great food. We took his recs and had a beautiful evening out - and then returned back to our cozy fireplace. I love that you can control the fireplace off and on, blinds allowed us to sleep in and it was super quiet! Thank you, Daniel!

This is basically a nicely styled motel just outside the Heavenly Village area. Close to the bus pickup for the chair lift that departs from the Heavenly Carpark.

Staying at the Heavenly valley lodge bed & breakfast was amazing went there for a little vacation and I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay at! It was great to know that every morning we would have delicious breakfast, not to mention the pancakes were my favorite! The rooms where amazing, very clean and cozy especially with a cute fire place. They have great seating out side as well as seating with a bonfire pit. The host are great people with an amazing heart. They went above and beyond to check that are stay was as best as it can possibly be. This will definitely be our first choice when returning. Can't wait tell next time!

We stayed at the Heavenly Valley Lodge for two nights and were extremely impressed. This was for a couple's getaway to Lake Tahoe and a break from the kids.
The customer service from Linda and Johan was above and beyond what we could have imagined when booking our reservation. It felt like we were neighbors with the personal interactions with them; very friendly and caring. The personal touch really makes this bed and breakfast stand out, and feels very genuine.
Breakfast was phenomenal. Linda will cook something different every morning to spoil your taste buds, and also provide fresh fruit, pastries, and coffee.
The room had a very cozy feel to it, like a cabin with the amenities you appreciate after a day out at the lake (shower with great water pressure, comfy bed, kitchenette, etc).
The location is perfect. You are within 7/10 of a mile walk to the marina (with great restaurants on the way), but are far enough away for peace and quiet.
Additionally, after your first stay with them, you are treated to a 20% discount as a returning customer.
All in all we had a wonderful experience during our trip, and largely due to our stay here. We were pointed in the right direction for things to do and see, and also recommendations on local restaurants that all proved to really round out our visit. I know for all future visits to this area (maybe we'll make it a tradition) we will stay here, and also recommend it to all of our family and friends.

This bed and breakfast deserves 10 stars. There was no detail that was missed. Great location! Clean rooms ! Cute and cozy decor ! Excellent breakfast and weekend happy hour by the fire :) the service cannot be beat, Johan was the sweetest host. It really shines through how much pride the owners take in their business, they enjoy what they do and it is noticed by their guests. We didn’t want to leave. You cannot find a better place to stay in South Lake Tahoe ! The welcome cookies were delicious, so many wonderful amenities to speak of. Cannot speak enough good things about this bed and breakfast !!

My friend and I stayed here for a girl's weekend and had the absolute best time! Linda and Johan were the sweetest couple and went above and beyond to make us feel at home. From our names being written on the door, delicious homemade breakfast, cookies left on the bed daily, and nightly happy hour, everything was perfect and no detail was left untouched. The cabin rooms were cozy and the bed was comfortable. The location is perfect, with everything being a short walk or quick drive away. We honestly were sad to leave because we had such a nice experience! I highly recommend this place to stay! It's not just a hotel, it's an experience!

We stayed here for our family reunion in July 2019 and it was perfect! There is a large patio area for gathering and a lawn area for kids to run and play. Johann & Linda are awesome hosts. They really spoiled us! The included breakfast was much more than I was expecting and delicious. They really made us feel like we were at home. The beds are very comfortable and each room has it's own theme. They are also very accommodating with extra bedding for kiddos. I highly recommend Heavenly Valley Lodge for an individual stay or for a group.

We ended up staying here after we left a horrible hotel in the area. Honestly we got lucky and they had a room available. That's when I met Linda. We arrived during their cocktail hour and she could see we were stressed as we were headed to a class reunion that evening and literally had less than 30 minutes to get dressed and get to our venue. She was so sweet and got us in a room as soon as possible and got me a glass of wine ( which I desperately needed) we were able to make it to our venue on time!
The next morning with 15 mins left for the breakfast hour Linda was waiting for us and happy to see we could enjoy her wonderful food. She ask about our evening so on top of the great food we also had a great conversation.

I really can't say enough about how wonderfully accommodating this place is! The rooms are adorable with fireplaces and great decor. It's so comfortable and quiet.

How often do you get a hug from the owner when you leave? But that's the kind of place this is. We will absolutely be back!

Michelle was such a great host, so friendly, welcoming and hospitable!! We had a great time chatting with her over happy hour in the super cute and cosy chalet-style lounge area - by the gorgeous Christmas tree in front of the fire! Our room was really cute and comfortable too and the breakfast was delicious!! The perfect place to stay in Tahoe, especially for accessing California Lodge for skiing. We would recommend to anyone and hope to come back again soon!

Being a Lake Tahoe resident for years, this wonderful hideaway was a little piece of home! Johan and Linda were wonderful hosts and became our new friends. I told my husband that we could never have this personal attention at any casino hotel that would of cost us twice as much! The rooms are very quaint, clean and comfortable. Knowing that a home cooked breakfast was awaiting us each morning was such a treat! The added touches Linda does like our names on the door to welcome us to our room was so cute. Happy hour around the fire pit enjoying the mountain surroundings just makes you feel cozy and warm. They are also a dog friendly hotel that made it even better! I would recommend this wonderful place to anyone I know for there stay in South Lake Tahoe! Can't wait to return!

Everything was perfect! The rooms are cozy and immaculate. There are so many homey touches in the décor, which make the room very inviting. That same inviting feeling exudes from Linda and Johan. To say they are accommodating and care immensely for the welfare and comfort of their guests is an understatement. Whatever your needs are, they want to accommodate you. The home cooked breakfast each morning was delicious. They gave us many tips on nearby activities. They made sure our room was tailored to our liking. They even have bikes that you can use to ride into town. I've stayed at a lot of places, and even the good hotels and B&B's cannot compare to the hospitality and overall experience provided by Linda and Johan. Hands down, this was one of, if not the best place I've ever stayed, especially when you consider all the little extras. It all boils down to how much people care, and it is very clear that Linda and Johan want their guests to have the best experience possible, and they bend over backwards to make that happen.

This place is great! We stayed here for our honeymoon in the summer. Cute room decor, and we were greeted with sparkling wine and fruit! Everyone is super friendly and you can definitely appreciate the adorable family who runs this place. Breakfast is served to your door now (due to covid restrictions). The food is amazing. I'm gonna guess that everything is pretty much homemade. One of the best cooks! If you have any problems, hosts are extremely responsive and really go out of their way to help you. As listed on airbnb there is no air conditioning but it does say that there is on google, so if your heat sensitive, just be aware. However the is a ceiling fan that does a great job at circulating the air. The room is cozy and clean and the bed is comfy. Would definitely recommend this to my friends and family!

This little slice of Americana was adorable, comfortable, clean, and made truly "homey" by hosts Michelle and Garret. They greeted me and my partner upon arrival, made sure we had everything we needed, and even offered to make him a custom breakfast since we were there for his half-marathon. We felt truly cared for. Also - this is the first hotel happy hour that we actually stuck around for (and so did everyone else!). The super friendly environment that Garret and Michelle have created meant that all us guests had a wonderful time sitting around the fire and chatting. It was a truly unique experience, and felt like a piece of old-fashioned magic (especially compared to the impersonal experience of staying in most hotels). Can't recommend highly enough.

Love love love, honestly the sweetest place. The hosts are so friendly and welcome you like you are part of their family. They mingle with you and make you feel right at home. The decor is beautiful and we have a fire to heat our room. The fire pit outside is an awesome added bonus and happy hour was great fun. If we come back to Lake Tahoe we will deffo look to stay here again and recommend it to our family and friends. The home cooked breakfast also 5 huge stars - you won't go hungry here!

Linda and Johan are the most gracious hosts! The breakfasts are delicious, wholesome, and generous both in portion size and variety. Special diet needs are always met and I am speaking as a dietitian. Rooms are spotless, in excellent condition and decorated soooo cleverly! I love having access to a refrigerator in the room and/or a kitchenette for extra foods and packed lunches. We love borrowing movies from a selection of several hundred in case we have energy in the evening. Your every need is met to allow you to put all of your energy into exploring Tahoe and having fun. Don't miss out on the free Happy Hour at the fire pit with drinks, snacks and great conversation. We have been returning for our anniversary for several years now and feel as though we are returning home to good friends.

We enjoyed this little haven for two nights while visiting Lake Tahoe in May. It is conveniently
situated close to the lake but well set back from busy Hwy. 50 on Pioneer Trail. The cabins are cozy warm in cold weather and the bed was wonderfully comfortable. The owners are extremely hospitable and extended us a very warm reception and a friendly atmosphere throughout our stay. The bed and breakfast format includes a plentiful hot breakfast and a wine and cheese hour in the evenings. We stayed during the low season when things were pretty quiet but I think it would be a terrific spot for skiers in winter, only a few hundred yards from the slopes. We would definitely go back again.

Just had the pleasure of spending two nights at Heavenly Valley Lodge. The experience was outstanding. Both my wife and myself were treated like royalty. The hospitality of Johan ad Linda were the finest we have ever experienced in all of our travels. It was like we were part of the family.
The morning breakfast was terrific and actually served to us in one of the many patio areas that surround the property.
Wine hour held nightly was great as well complete with appetizers that did not disappoint.
The redone lodge is cute and cozy and just plain friendly. We would recommend this to anyway even our friends who are royalty. LOL.
