Such an awesome spot!!
Clean! big beds, big tv's, tons of storage space, incredible and welcoming staff. Big DVD collection, hot tub, sauna ,heated pool, great breakfast I could go on and on!!

Right down the street from the Heavenly Gondola and Heavenly Village!

We can’t say enough about how much we love this spot. The pool is perfect after the sauna, the hot tub wasn’t too hot and not crowded at all, the room was cozy and we loved the kitchenette. The office staff has been warm and friendly and they have tons of resources. We’ll be coming back next year!

I have no idea why this is a 2-star hotel. The room was clean. Staff was attentive. Bed was comfortable. Kitchenette was well stocked. Nice place to stay during a ski trip. It would be nice for an extended stay.

This place is incredible - starting from reception all the way until check-out. Sauna, Jacuzzi, breakfast, great location. We had small housekeeping issue which was addressed perfectly!

We stayed for 10 nights, so we had plenty of time to see how it was run. Can't say enough about how great it was! Our son, who is a mailman in the area, alerted us to this place. The accommodations are just amazing! The location is within eady walking distance of the best part of South Lake Tahoe, too!

We had a great time here and will most likely look here first for any future Tahoe trips. The rooms are clean and comfortable andgrounds are very well maintained. There is lots to enjoy here, especially if you have children. We loved the playground and games that are available. They offer daily/nightly activities too. My daughter really enjoyed tie-dyeing a shirt. Randy was a great host for that activity and he is also a wealth of knowledge about the area. The pool and hot tub are great at the end of a day. The location is great too! The staff was happy to help with any of our requests.

American Village is located right in the heart of South Lake Tahoe. It is close to one of my favorite beaches and amenities. The studio-suite was updated, very clean and extremely quiet. The curtain that separates the sofa-bed couch from the queen bed was a complete plus! I didn't sleep in the sofa bed, but the queen bed was comfortable with one super soft down pillow and 2 regular pillows. The shower was large (I wish there was a tub), and the mini-kitchen was excellent including a full-size refrigerator. The service was excellent, and Mandy was especially sweet and understanding! She took care of all of my needs, was full of smiles, extremely professional and made sure I was located in an upstairs room that was extra quiet...thanks Mandy! I would definitely recommend American Village as a place to stay.

This hotel gives you 5 star hotel experience and more. We loved our stay here. Very comfortable beds, big pool, clean rooms, great for families with kids, and more.
Interesting part is they have a huge DVD collection that you can get and watch in your room. Thanks for the great service here.

It's a beautiful place you would love to come back too. It is very clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The pool is cleaned every day. There's a lot of activities - like BBQ dinner with live music, bingo, tye dye T-shirt. There's also free breakfast, wifi and free parking. It is walking distance to restaurants and the casinos. I highly recommend this place.

We really enjoyed our stay here (first time). We just wanted a place to crash in between snowshoeing. Dog friendly which is awesome and only $28/dog per night (some of the other places I called charged $75/dog/night). We stayed on the first floor and the room is SUPER clean. The bed was comfortable, heat worked, shower was great, plenty of room for the two of us and two dogs. You were able to park right in front of your room. Check in was super simple and everyone was so friendly. We will stay there next time we are in Tahoe!

I've been to Tahoe 4-5 times in the last 10 years and I always stay here. It's walking distance from state line, restaurants and a short drive from a big grocery store. This last time we stayed for a full week, after being prevented from travel due to the pandemic. The 2 bedroom has master suite, with its own bathroom. The kitchen is well stocked, all dishes are in the dishwasher so you're assured that they are clean. The pool has a hot tub and there is a sauna. The place is small compared to a big resort, but I love the easy parking almost right in front of your room. The laundry is right next to the lobby so I always travel with laundry soap pods so we bring back almost no dirty laundry. The beds are comfy, the bathrooms are modern with full hand soap, lotion, shampoo and conditioner dispensers. What I wasn't happy with is the sofa, could use a good cleaning. They have free breakfast, toast, fruit, coffee, donuts, oatmeal, juice. Love the popcorn and activities. We were out for most big great for families. The staff is always friendly, you can check out bikes and go for a bike ride, no fee.

Great place to stay. In walking distance to the state line and the heavenly shopping center and ski lift.

They have sled and snow toys the kids can use. They have a game night or something similar each day. They had movies to borrow from the front desk. Breakfast was more of a continental but was still good.

Rooms were very quaint and cozy. Rustic themed and just updated. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. They helped me fix me truck. Had to replace my started in the parking lot. They also proceeded to let me plug in the block heater during our stay in the winter.

Overall great place to stay. Would stay again.

Excellent place. Although the breakfast could be better, the kitchen is perfect and saved us good money. The bathroom is large, and the showers (2) are fantastic. I definitely would stay again. It is perfect for families with young children. Recommended!

Very cool feature - they offer free sleds in the winter and bikes in the summer. Very friendly staff.

The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The room was very clean and modern with great amenities. The continental breakfast had great options just go early so things don't run out and you have shorter lines. My only complaint is the parking, didn't feel like there were enough spaces and saw cars double parking and blocking other vehicles over night.

This is a great place to stay in South Lake Tahoe. The property looked clean and room was spacious. They also give you an entire kitchen setup along with crockery, utensils and electric stove if you would like to cook something, impressive. Breakfast was included in our stay, I wish they could serve more options in fruits and serve the boiled eggs without shells. The place has ample parking available and their service is good. Another thing that I liked is, they give you organic bathing bar, shampoo n all which is really great. Overall, the experience was amazing, would definitely consider to come here again.

We have enjoyed very much our 2-night here as a family of five. The full kitchen in the room, the heated pool and hot tub, free parking, and the location are great advantages.

Within walking distance to the Heavenly gondola. Friendly staff, large rooms, and a fully stocked kitchen. Literally had a stove, full-size fridge, and blender. Dog friendly, including a secluded, enclosed area that's perfect for them to roam. Has a pool and spa, with a sauna system in the bathroom.

This is a wonderful hotel and one of the best we have found in South Tahoe! Great rates (especially given that many units have well stocked kitchenettes), warm hospitality, thoughtful touches (e.g. free dvd rentals, popcorn in the lobby), clean and cozy units, delicious free breakfast (doughnuts, oatmeal, toast, eggs, and more). Very close to to gondola and a short car ride to the other Heavenly lodges. Dog friendly too! We will absolutely stay here again.

Loved our stay here over Memorial Day weekend! It was a weekend without our kids, and the location, value, cleanliness, and ease of after-hours check-in were everything we hoped for and more! We found our king-sized bedroom to very comfortable and up-to-date, the double shower-heads in the stone shower very spa-like, and the kitchenette was perfect for our needs! We could hear our neighbors above one evening, but overall no complaints- we would stay here again and highly recommend!
