Heini's Cheese Chalet

Always our number one/ first stop in Ohio Amish country! They offer a wide variety of delicious cheese. Since Covid they don't offer free samples for every cheese , but they still provided samples of about a dozen. We recommend buying the cheese ends to get the most variety for the money. Each chunk is about $2-3.
We liked watching cheese being made too. Don't pass up the meats and candies. Heini's Rules!!

They have a wonderful selection of cheese and sauces. I always have a great time walking around and picking out the family favorites. On the weekends they have a cart out front making kettle corn and it is the best. They have a great selection of summer sausage and meat sticks in incredible flavors. If you like throwing parties this is your first stop. You can do a meat and cheese tray that will amaze your friends. This gets my highest recommendation for anyone who loves great fresh foods.

Heini's is a great place to stop. Since the pandemic, the individual cheese locations don't have samples, but there is a spot near the end of the walkthrough that has a range of samples set out.
Great cheeses, fudge is good, and a wide range of spice blends if you are looking for them.

I love this place you can watch how the cheese is made and they have so many different flavors of cheese. Been going there since I was a little girl. They used to have it set up where you could taste the cheese as well but I have not been there in a few years but it was always be a favorite of mine I can't wait to visit this summer.

Heini's is a favorite stop when I go to Amish Country! With all the covid restrictions it still ks that we can't do all the sampling like normal! They have the best selection of cheese and meat sticks. They also have a great selection in candy and spices and dry recipe mixes! It is always a must to stop here and see what they have to offer! Keep in mind they are always busy!

Oh boy are you in for a treat! Heini's Cheese Chalet, a.k.a. "the Cheese Factory," lives up to its name. There is a variety of cheeses to choose from with samplings to go along with it, so that you'll know for sure that your cheese choices are what you want to purchase. There are also items such as meats, honey and a whole lot more! The Cheese Factory is also located in the Amish Country Sugar Creek community. Enjoy!

This place was so amazing!! We literally ate our way through the store. You can get toothpicks and try many of the cheeses they sell. They also have jams, cheese spreads, pickles, and cheese fudge for you to taste test. They were not making cheese the day we went but they have where you can observe them making during the week at other times. They have creamy cheeses, spicy cheese, smoked cheeses, and sharp cheeses. They also have beef jerky, pepperoni, and some other meats. They also have some fun souvenirs. Come hungry and ready to taste some great cheeses.

Heini’s Chalet is always a great place to visit any time of the year. On prior trips, we used to always make a stop at Heini’s to sample new cheeses before purchasing. But, unfortunately, that was all pre-Covid. Although there are no current cheese samples offered, the variety of cheeses made and sold are fantastic. If you are lucky to be there during the cheese making hours, you can watch the staff make cheese through the display windows at the back of the store. Although known for their variety of cheeses, you can also shop jellies, candies, spices, etc. So, make sure you put it on your list of places to stop while visiting the Ohio Amish area.

We really enjoy the selection of cheeses they have here as well as crackers, jellies, sauces, spices, rubs, marinades, candies, fudge, and more. The ladies behind the register are very freeing and kind and even when the check out line is long they keep it moving.

Great selection of locally made and sources cheese, fudge, and sausage. Due to Covid, no samples on 2/21/22. Right across the street from Kauffman's bakery so quite a good stop. Heinis sells homemade butter as well as jams, roasted nuts, and lactose free cheeses.

My husband and I brought our cheese loving teenager . She loved this place and said she could stay all day trying cheeses and fudge lol. We bought a few different kinds but my fav was the smoked sharp cheddar. My teen liked all of them including the ghost pepper cheese. I normally don’t like Swiss but I did like the Swiss here. It was so good. One of the greatest things was I was able to get my niece cheese, she absolutely loves it but she’s lactose and tolerant. This place has several options that are lactose free. The veggie cheese lactose free is delish. The sherbet fudge and chocolate nut fudge also amazing. Definitely check this place out if you like tasty cheese.

We stop at this place every time we come to Berlin, OH. We enjoy all of the cheese products from here. The Salt Water Taffy is great too!

This is a great place to visit if you like cheese. The products are high quality and fairly inexpensive. Highly recommend!

Heini's has always been one of our favorites. My dad and I used to come here every year before he passed. Great selection of cheese and other items.

We love coming here when in Amish country. Plenty of cheese, sausage, beef jerky, cheese dip, fudge, and more.

Great choice of delicious cheese. Been over 20 years since I've been and I wasn't disappointed by selection and variety.

They have so many different selections of cheese, but that's not all! They have taffy and other candy I grew up eating as a child, a ton of different food seasonings and soda pops. There is a cheeses tasting stand just so much loved it here. Also you can watch them make the cheese.
