I had a leather holster coming apart and when I made one of my supplier trips to Holmes County I pulled in to Bowman's just to see if they could help me. The girl behind the register took my holster to the back area where they were making harnesses and 10 minutes later they had my item fixed as good as new for a very reasonable price. I am going to have to stop in again because they have many items I can't find elsewhere. Highly recommend!

As a part time Leather Smith, this a great shop to pick up hardware,rivets,Chicago screws etc. Everyone is always so nice & so helpful. The shop has the best selection of just about everything with reasonable prices. Their harnesses are top notch and so beautifully made! 2 thumbs up all the way! I HIGHLY recommend!

Bowman Leather is one of the nicest full service tack shops for horses, probably in all of Ohio, maybe the country. This Amish run shop is extremely clean, well organized, and economically priced. The staff was so very helpful and even willing to sew a loop on the end of a leather horse lunge line to make it into a long leather dog leash. She did that right in front of us. This customization only cost $3.00. I would absolutely and definitely recommend anyone who has any horse needs to go to Bowman Leather to shop, you won't be sorry. Debbie G

Joe took the time to meet with me, study pictures, watch a DVD and even experimented on his own horse's harness to understand why a New England D-Ring harness is not your typical side backer harness. He has made 3 harnesses for us so far, and they are excellent. The only fit concerns result from us insisting on a longer length on one part, though he warned us it would be too long, he was right :) We should have listened. We love our Bowman harness.

Good repairs and priced well. Shop is spotlessly clean. A good variety of product although I would like to see more from Hawthorne products. Everyone treats you well and with respect.

Thank You to the Amish man who helped me pick a belt out he made at his harness shop. He was honest and explained the type of leather used to make the belts!

Bowman Leather is dedicated to the craftsmanship and integrity of fitting the harness to the horse. I’m so grateful for the 3 hours time Joe Jr took to fit my horse properly for the two collars & hames we needed. While there he brought his equipment outside so he could be efficient. Meanwhile as we watched him make careful adjustments, I witnessed several upset horses go by whose harnesses were obviously misfitted making them uncomfortable & thus hard to handle. I’m greatly thankful for his care, as now my mare is moving with more ease & handles like a dream. I learned well that day the unmatched mastery in harness fitting this man has garnered through his vast experiences in the craft. A treasure in the community & a blessing to horsemanship!!
