Stony Haven Campground & Cabins is truly a gem tucked away in the heart of nature. My family and I recently had the pleasure of experiencing their warm and inviting hospitality, and we couldn't have asked for a more memorable getaway.

From the moment we arrived, it was evident that this campground is more than just a place to stay—it's a haven crafted with love and care. The serene surroundings instantly put us at ease, and the well-maintained facilities provided all the comforts we needed while still allowing us to immerse ourselves in the beauty of the outdoors.

The cabins are a perfect blend of rustic charm and modern convenience. We were pleasantly surprised by the attention to detail—the cozy interiors, comfortable beds, and well-equipped kitchenette made our stay a true delight. Waking up to the sounds of nature and the fresh mountain air was an experience we won't forget.

What truly sets Stony Haven apart is the sense of community and warmth that the owners and staff exude. As a Christian family owned establishment, their values shine through in every aspect of our stay. From the warm welcome to the heartfelt conversations, it's clear that they genuinely care about their guests' experiences.

We were touched by the little touches that made our stay special, such as the evening campfires where we had the chance to connect with other guests and share stories. The owners' dedication to creating a welcoming atmosphere is truly commendable and greatly appreciated.

Whether you're seeking a peaceful retreat or an opportunity to reconnect with nature and loved ones, Stony Haven Campground & Cabins is the perfect destination. The memories we've made here will be cherished for years to come. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team for making our stay exceptional. We can't wait to return!

Perfect little campground! We stopped here for some relaxation before heading to electric forest. We got in late at night and the campground host was very welcoming and stayed up for us. Not crowded and we had a lot of space. Very wooded and gets very dark at night. The showers were a close walk. The water warmed up quick but never got hot just warm. Would stay here again!

This place is a gem! Lots of tree to give you the rustic feeling while having your RV on full hook-up. Because of the trees, most of the sites were full dirt, but it didn’t bother us at all. The kids spent most of their time at the playground. We had the sites across from the play ground and next to the bathrooms. It was great to let the kids play and not have to get up and move from your site. Bathrooms were pristine. Close to Lake Michigan and other fun things to do. Will most definitely come back. It was such a welcoming place. Thanks for a great experience!

Amazing campground! Amy is amazing! We make it a priority to camp here every year. playground look outdated but is very safe. Don't let the old look fool you, we're glad we didn't.

This campground was the last thing I expected but the best one we stayed at. Good sized family owned and operated campground in their backyard! We brought a camper but noted the cabins in the back of the property on a hillside over looking a creek. So many kids for mine to play with. Clean bathroom and laundry facilities.

I can not say enough about Amy. When we decided to come up a day early and tent the first night. She accommodated me and my son and let us use a closed (remote) area because that's what we requested. The next day we moved into the cabin (which was great) nice and clean. While on our weekend, my truck broke down at the beach. We got a ride back from a nice elderly couple and I went to Amy for local advice. Towing and repair shop. She let me use her land-line and drop her name. She even gave us a ride back to the beach to meet the tow truck. I had to gonout of state to work the following week and couldn't pick up my truck for 8 days. Big coincidence! When I drove up 3.5 hours on tue following Monday to get it. She was there the repair shop getting work of her own. She jumped out of her seat, called me by name, and gave me a big hug! If thats not a family business I dont know what is!!!!!! Quiet, secluded, low volume campground where quiet time is enforced after dusk. I LOVED IT and it will forever be my goto for future Northern adventures. Thank you Amy for a great experience! God bless

Very quiet campground. We had no issues with mosquitoes. The entrance to the campground is very tight with light branches and you will be touching leaves as you enter, we were pulling a 30 foot trailer with a 19 foot truck. Very friendly couple running the campground and it is pretty much in their back yard.
We had full hookups and had no issues with utilities. We picked a site across from the cabins, site 23, and it was a slight challenge but not bad with my companion guiding me. Some of the sites appeared to be challenging for parking a rig due to many trees. People were friendly as we walked our dog. Sites come with a fire ring and picnic table.
They sell firewood and rent inner tubes for nearby Stony Lake. Campground had a shower/ bathroom building in the middle of the grounds. There are swings and slides on a playground. Dump station is by the bathhouse, if you got a site with partial hookups. There is a laundry room as well.
You can pick up a few television stations in the area and there are 1 to 2 bars of Verizon 4G that at times were hard to come in. Great location for exploring the area and visiting Lake Michigan and Little Sable Lighthouse.

We had a great stay here. It is very wooded, but I like that. We got in very late (midnight) and the host was kind enough to stay up waiting for us so she could sign us in and direct us to our spot. Showers were fine. My family chatted around the campfire late, but tried to keep our voices down - nobody had an issue with this. Everyone was respectful and polite at this campground, it had a very welcoming feel.

I highly recommend Stony Haven! We took our two little ones on their very first camping experience and figured that cabins would be a wiser choice than tent camping. Our cabin was super clean and a perfect size for the four of us. The kids loved sleeping on the bunk beds. They also enjoyed exploring near the pond that our cabin overlooked. The family that runs the campground were incredibly kind and helpful. The campground offers a playground for the kids, clean showers, and boat rentals. The kids loved going out on a kayak for the first time. The location is amazing! There is a fun lake across the street that is perfect for kayaking and other boating and Lake Michigan is only two miles away. We were able to travel down the channel which connects Stony Lake to Lake Michigan. It was a calm ride filled with lots of turtle sightings. Also, Stony Haven is only about a five minute car ride away from Lewis Petting Farm, which made for a wonderful day trip. We are definitely planning to return to Stony Haven!

My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary. We absolutely loved it and will definitely be returning. We stayed in the Heavenly Heights cabin and it was perfect. The double bed was quite comfortable and the kitchenette and bathroom were sufficient. The campground was peaceful and relaxing. You can be to Lake Michigan in about 5 minutes and to Silver Lake Sand Dunes in approximately 15 minutes. We have Verizon for cell service and had coverage for voice but very sparse for data.

This campground is the perfect place to camp! It is fully shaded, and we camped in the middle of the heat wave, and still were fine. The owners are friendly and helpful. The restrooms are super clean. There is no shortage of great things to do around there, but we personally liked the double kayak on Lake Michigan the best.

My daughter is actually camping with my grandson and I went to visit. They have some rentals for.water play and a playground and a volleyball net we took advantage of which has been a few years. Not mush of a game with threw adults and a couple kids and a dog one of us had to keep grabbing back out way. Lol There is a bathroom there and a shower on the men's is working but the only downside I was aware of was the women's shower was out of order today.

The perfect campground for kids. Lots of trees for shade. Never woke up too hot in my tent. Management is super pleasant. Felt very safe during our stay. Close to a lot of fun stuff to do. Cleanest bathrooms you will ever find camping.

Wonderful place to camp! Staff is very helpful and friendly! They have lots of stuff for kids to do on the property and adults too! They have tube and awesome bikes to rent. They have grates you can borrow to put over fire pit to grill. In the office is multiple toys and outdoor games that you can check out and use for free. They offer rides for people and tubes to and from the river for a fee. They sell fire wood there as well. Bathrooms/shower house is nice and clean and has separate family bathroom/shower. Overall really great place to camp! No alcohol is allowed on premises.

I stayed in one of their cabins. This place was close to a small convenient store and public lake access. It had a real rural feel to it. The cabin itself was really clean as well as the park, and that bathrooms were cleaned daily. I didn't have too many interactions with the staff but what interactions I had were very friendly and welcoming.

We stayed at the campground for two nights in 2015 and booked camping spots for this year before we left. The owners are great and attentive with a lot of fun things for the kids to do at the campground. Clean bathrooms and hot showers top off the great time that we had.
