My favorite park. Wonderful art display right now. Bridge is still out on west side of Huron Parkway so can't do the loop which pretty much sucks but still a beautiful place to walk and relax.
The kids' playground is great and there are lots of little animal figures my grandson loved to climb on.
There are a couple of restrooms. One by the canoe place, the other farther in.

Wonderful spot to walk with views of the river. Unfortunately, part of the walking loop is currently closed to the public. However, there is still plenty of walking trail mileage open. Be prepared for crowds on weekends, parking may become trickier to find during warm summer weekends.

Livery on site, boat launch… can’t go wrong with Gallup park!

Nice place for all ages. Nature at its best. Nice small trail from the side entrance to the play structure over three wooden bridges for kids.

Big park with a variety of offerings. I rode the bike trail that meandered along the lake. Saw tubers, kayaker, canoes, swans, ducks, geese, and many other birds. Needless to say, if you want to see some wildlife, this is a good park for you.

Visited towards the end of winter ❄ and it was such a beautiful place. Recommend to visit during the evening around 5.30pm to catch the swans 🦢 and geese. A great place for kids and adults too. Just sitting and observing the birds and the river makes time move so slow. The birds and squirrels 🐿 are so friendly too.

Great views of both sides of the Huron river and there’s a walking trail loop that brings you back to the car park in about 1 mile.

A must visit place to spend quiet time and family time ❤😍

One of the best parks in the region, obtained from land from Detroit Edison Company in 1955 - is a 69-acre park and is Ann Arbor’s most popular recreation area. It is located along the Huron River and Geddes Pond with scenic walkways that traverse small islands with pedestrian bridges that form a loop.

Gallup Park is an important connector on the Border-to-Border Trail. Two drinking fountains and many benches allow the park user to take respite from their recreational activities. In 2017, the Rotary Centennial Universal Access Playground opened and offers a universally accessible play area.

Gallup Park is the down river destination for paddling trips, year around, having also heated restroom facilities, paved pathways and a bird-seeing area.

A great place to visit any time of year. Lots of variety and a great paved looping trail that goes on both sides of the Huron River. Further along there is a boardwalk through the woods and dirt trails in a wooded and marshy area that can be muddy. A fun kids playground and different sculptures around the park. Good parking in different areas depending on where you want to start.

It has such a cool park. I haven't been here in a long time, but the upgrades are great. My kids found freshwater clams and a crayfish. We had a great time exploring.

One of the (if not the) best parks in the Ann Arbor area. The uploaded pictures were taken in late October (wonderful colors). There are multiple playgrounds and picknic areas (with BBQs) in the park as well. Highly recommend to go there and enjoy the nicer days in Michigan.

Excellent walking trail that is fully paved and largely flat. Easy to read maps. Family-friendly and mobility device accessible. Limited parking but there’s multiple entry points. so much nature to enjoy!

Seamless process for renting a kayak or double. Rent at Gallup and they can shuttle you to Argo or Barton for a downriver float back. Best way to spend a few hours on a nice day. You will get a bit wet as the sit on top kayaks are "self bailing" (meaning they have holes for water to run through, two of those holes are right underneath your bum). Kayaks are quite stable and hard to tip unless you do sometjing dumb through the fun little (engineered) rapids below Argo. Friendly, helpful staff. I do this trip whenever I come back to visit family.

Beautiful park with nice trails to bike or walk on. There are picnic shelters, a playground, bridges, and ponds. The restrooms smelled absolutely awful from 100 feet away so I steered clear of them. The reptile statues were a favorite of mine but I wish that some of them weren't inside the playground. 🦎 felt odd taking pictures of the snake with a bunch of kids around.

Awesome place to walk around. I visited here for my river kayaking activity and they were very courteous about the arrangement.
48 dollars for 2 people with individual kayaks. Includes a van drop off at the starting point.

This is such a beautiful park located close to the heart of Ann Arbor. The numerous trails are easy going and provide a perfect place for everyone. Whether you're looking to take a nice walk, bike around, take the kids to the playground, go for a run or anything else, I'd highly recommend Gallup Park. The B2B trail is a great paved trail that provides numerous views of the Huron River. You're also likely to run into a plethora of birds, such as geese, swans, ducks, robins, and much more! This, along with a numerous amount of other animals will accompany you during your visit. Take some time out, settle your mind, and enjoy the outdoors.
