The Great Egg - Denton

Tried this place for the first time & I was definitely impressed. I loved that they had other options on food other then the traditional “breakfast” items. The chicken apple walnut sandwich was light, flavorful & fresh. The dressed greens where delicious.

My boyfriend got the breakfast burrito and the red sauce was super flavorful. The portion sizes where perfect. The staff was very friendly & attentive.
I highly recommend trying their fresh juices. It definitely sets this place higher on quality compared to other “breakfast” spots in the area.

Great place to have a traditional American brunch on the weekend. Very cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. Don’t expect anything extraordinary, just something reliable, filling, and neat.

There are alot of breakfast cafes in Denton, and I have eaten at many of them. I received a coupon for a free meal for this one so decided to try it. They had a good varity of choices of dishes, focusing on eggs, but also lunch choices, at a reasonable price. But what impressed me the most was their attention and obvious care for their customers, the soft music, and joyous atmosphere. It was peaceful, not frantic, which is how I like to start my day.

I had an incredible dining experience! I ordered my favorite dish - French toast with sausage, and it tasted absolutely amazing. The dish was perfectly cooked, and the flavors were spot on. What added to the experience was the kind and attentive service I received from my waiter, Jordan. He made sure that my dining experience was enjoyable and pleasant. However, I realized that I had forgotten to bring cash to tip him. So, I quickly ran back home and came back to give him the tip he deserved. Overall, it was an excellent experience, and I will definitely be going back there soon.

I had ordered the Chicken and Avocado Omelette. So great, I literally had to send a compliment back to the chef.

I love Eggs Benedict the traditional way and decided to step out on a limb and order crab Benedict and it was fantastic! Great service from Jordan! Nice peaceful environment, clean and great food and service from Jordan. I highly recommend the server, food and environment! I hadn’t eaten here before and don’t eat out often so I was grateful it was a great experience.

The pancakes and eggs benedict we had were so delicious! I had the crabcake benedict, and was pleasantly surprised at the amount of crab there was compared to the other ingredients. It tasted like real crab, and I loved it. The hollandaise sauce is something I could easily get addicted to. The blueberry compote was sweet, but not overwhelming. It was an amazing compliment to the pancakes we had. Speaking of the pancakes, they were pretty big! We ended up splitting one. The potatoes were the perfect texture, not too soft and not hard. Seasoning was perfect! I will say the grits needed a bit more flavor. They tasted mostly like water and salt. But, aside from that, everything is delicicous! You definitely get your money's worth here.

I’ve never dined in but on a busy work day if I am craving breakfast I will usually always order The Great Egg for delivery. The food is always hot and fresh when it arrives. Good portion size not too much but not too little. Prices are reasonable and I’ve never been dissatisfied. The Avocado scramble is my favorite. I love this place!!

The pumpkin waffle is amazing, and I’m not even a pumpkin spice addict lol. Amber is one of the best servers and I request her every time I’m there. Eating at the great egg feels like eating with family.?

My first time to this little gem, and what a pleasant experience! The menu is pretty diverse for breakfast oriented dining, and service was friendly and upbeat. Their prices are pretty comparable with other restaurants with breakfast being a forte. Their salad is amazing, using a very simple in-house dressing to die for. I had the crab cakes and they were fresh and very tasty.

It's good place, it has good food and and juices are good too, fresh pressed ones, on week days it's not really crowded, ask for recommendations because I tried a recommended one the avocado bacon scramble one, and it was good, friendly staff bwt.

2022 UPDATE: New name, same delicious food. A great selection of breakfast and lunch options. Friendly service and fair prices. Highly recommend.

This cafe is wonderful. The Tuscan Scramble was well prepared and well season. The ranch potatoes were cooked to perfection and the English muffin had a nice crunch to it and was complemented with butter. Their seasonal Pumpkin Waffle was absolutely amazing. Not too sweet, but the candies pecans, powdered sugar, and the cinnamon butter all came together and made a wonderful holiday favorite all enjoy. I highly recommend the Egg and I for brunch. Enjoy my foodie connoisseurs.

I stopped in intending to get an omelet and saw the chicken spinach salad on the menu. If the omelet I was going to get was half as good as the salad I got instead, there are a lot of happy customers! It was fantastic. The service was expedient and attentive. Couldn't have been a better experience!
