We moved into a new home where our builder had installed a fireplace from this company. Although they have had some issues with being short staffed, they continued to try to work us in when we had issues. Sam has been there 10 years and did a fabulous job fixing our issue and getting our fireplace back to tip top shape. He was patient and answered all of our questions and genuinely cared about educating us on the unit so we can troubleshoot in the future. It's nice to have a local company that provides good service.

(Update 1): Called the shop out to troubleshoot my two older fireplaces, included in my home purchase, both of which were out of service 3+ years. After the initial repairs (reviewed below) got them working again, both later began cycling on and off to failure. Sam came out within a few weeks of the call - Sam, who has been repairing for Red Hot 10+ years - and he quickly troubleshot the problems as the easier to fix of two possible repair scenarios and got both fireplaces working quickly and cheaply. I am super-happy with the work and follow-up responsiveness of Sam and Red Hot Fire Shop.
(End update)

(First Review). I have two propane fireplaces that haven’t worked since I purchased my home. Two handymen couldn’t figure it out. Two other fireplace shops were prohibitively expensive … with no guarantee of success. Another shop was scheduling two months out.

Luckily I stopped by this shop and talked directly to the owner, Tyler, directly. He obviously knows the business and gave me confidence that he could get my fireplaces running, based on my verbal description. He scheduled me for the next week at which time his tech fixed both fireplaces pronto. And he charged me a very reasonable price. The tech was family relations to another tech who’d been with Red Hot for 15 years … “learned the business from him”.

Fireplace is now humming and warm - just in time for winter! Very satisfied. Will stick with them for seasonal maintenance.

I didn’t know that my LPG fireplace had failed because one doesn’t need a fireplace in Texas during the summer. I think that I discovered it the same day everybody else in Texas discovered their fireplace problem - the first chilly morning of Autumn.

I made many phone calls that morning, only to learn that everybody else in this state seemed to have called for fireplace repairs before I did; nearly every fireplace service company that I called was booked up solid for weeks. But when I reached Tyler at Red Hot Fire Shop the problem ended.

Tyler was on a service call, but he took the time to hear my description of the problem. He diagnosed it over the phone as a one hour job to replace a bad component, and he fitted me into his schedule within the next few days.

The technician, Colin, did a really great job. He worked quickly, and he paid attention to the details. He gave me some pointers on how best to maintain the mechanism in order to get the most out of the fireplace. Then he took the time to clean the glass closure. After he cleaned up his work area, he was gone; all in less than an hour. The fireplace is working flawlessly now. And Tyler and Colin are my heroes.

From this day forward, when I need fireplace maintenance or repairs, I’ll call Red Hot Fire Shop.

I love my fireplace! The process was quick and easy. This is an electric fireplace which works great for those days that you want the ambiance of a fireplace without the heat! Thanks so much I will definitely be using y’all again!

I just wanted to say that we had our new Aspen log set installed on Wednesday and everything went great. The logs look fantastic. Sam did an outstanding job of removing the old set and installing the new set. Sam even put the old set in the back of my wife’s car to take to Habitat for Humanity. The new sets works great. We really love the remote start feature. No more climbing in the fireplace to light the pilot light.
I would also like to thank Whitney for working with us to find the perfect logs.
Again, thanks for the great job from start to finish.

We have had other fireplace repair people come to out house, but no one has been as professional and helpful as Sam. I will always so back to here when needed.

We have an older fireplace with a pilot light which wouldn’t stay lit. The company that manufactured it was sold but I found Red Hot could service our brand. It took them a few trips and some additional parts to get the issue resolved but they were very thorough in following through and keeping me informed during the project. Both Tyler, in the office, and Sam, the technician, were very professional and pleasant to work with. I highly recommend them.

We had this company send some people out to work on our fire place. The two men that showed up were extremely professional from the beginning. It was obvious they had a wealth of knowledge and shared with us exactly what was wrong and how to best fix it.

At first things went well (otherwise 1 star) when fireplace was installed back in June this year. Then came to find out the door to our fireplace was measured incorrectly, therefore we have no door to our fireplace and I have small children in the house. I was told they were working on it since August. It is now late November, the shop has been unresponsive, I have not had an update on our door, they won't return my calls or emails. It has been extremely stressful and customer service is poor. Am hoping by writing this review I will finally be contacted back.

I wish zero stars was an option. We purchased a home in Muenster and our contractor on the remodel recommended this place. They installed our fireplace in July but did not have the correct parts for natural gas and it wasn’t until October that the fireplace could be used. We should have realized then when they didn’t return phone calls that we had made a terrible mistake. Fast forward and we have our first cold snaps in November and we light our fireplace to discover the front stones and our mantle was reaching temperatures of 185 degrees Fahrenheit and literally melting our Roku soundbar on the mantle. We contact them and get literally no response until I get someone from their other company Aubrey brick to relay the message that this is a fire risk. We still are waiting on their response and at this point I would rather have our contractor rip their unit out and we start over with a more responsible company who isn’t installing products that put my wife and children at risk as they obviously do not care. Please read their other reviews as they all have the same theme.
Just spoke to the owner Johnny who proceeded to lie to us about the conversations about our unsafe fireplace and refused to take back an unsafe product. Since they are all related don’t expect them to tell the truth or to care about any issues you may have. I have the phone records to prove they never once initiated a phone call to us.
Let me also add that in the beginning we clearly stated that we wanted natural gas. Our contractor ordered natural gas but they took it upon themselves to change it once it arrived to propane then had to change it back to natural gas. We had them bring in the rep for the product who waited here for 20 minutes and deemed it ok. We proceeded to let the fireplace run for the next 2 hours and our mantle was over 200 degrees. We believe that either faulty workmanship or a defective product was the cause. We have since had it removed and had a reputable company place a fireplace that doesn’t endanger our lives. Use these guys at your own risk.

3 months!!3 months!!!, waiting for an answer to replace my fireplace insert, and today another excuse. I should have known by me calling them every other week, that they didn’t want my business, It would have been better if in the beginning they would have said, we don’t need your business. If it’s customer satisfaction they are looking for it’s not here. Johnny and Tyler. In the future just say we are very busy cannot help you, instead of empty promises.

Numerous delays. Workers would show up, do a small amount of work, leave the job unfinished and then not show up for weeks. And today they cut a hole in the side of our house IN THE WRONG SPOT. No explanation, no apology. They just left it for us to find and to repair. Communication and customer service is terrible.
