Pemberton Cellars Winery

The setting is lovely, the people very kind and informative. The wine wasn't necessarily to our liking but since it changes from season to season with the grapes, we will definitely go back and try again!

This was an awesome find. Thank you Google for the "wineries near Glen Rose" recommendation. My wife and I spent a wonderful Friday afternoon having a tasting. Their Whites were really good. I'm a red drinker and we left with a couple bottles of their Blanc de Bois because it was that good. Their reds were good, but their various sweet wines were awesome. Several options for everyone's palette. The Holiday sweet was amazing, the Sangria is going to be an awesome back porch wine and the Spring has a wonderful cherry finish. We left, happily, with 12 bottles of wine! As good as the wine was, the conversation with the owners was just as good. The stories they shared were great and easily passed the time from tasting to tasting. If you are ever in or close to Granbury, this is a must stop location. Jeff, Lynn, and Dax are doing a great job of winemaking as well as growing. It's rare that the same people can excel at both (very different) skills. They have a great variety of wines, and you're bound to find at least one that you need to take home. The tasting room, as well as the porch, are great places to watch the sun set. Check back during harvest time, and experience picking the grapes with them. Hard work, but you get to have a hand in the actual production. Great folks producing great wines, right here in Texas. You should visit one weekend.

My husband and I had a lovely wine tasting here. The owner was friendly and informative. I picked the drier wines for my tasting and loved them. My husband prefers sweeter wines and was not as impressed with his choices, but still had a good time.
