Amazing tour! Very informative and so cool to learn about all the history! Loved that fact that they walk you through the tasting as well. They help explain what flavors and smells you may pick up while tasting each of the different whiskeys.

Wow what an informative tour!! This was my first time visit to jack Daniel’s and I had a great time here. Tour guide was very knowledgeable, he knows in and out about everything, the whisky making process, jack Daniel’s life, the history of the town, natural resource required for this whisky, wow everything..kudos to him and the team for such a well organized tour.

The Lynchburg town is awesome too. The free shuttle service is great service for moving from one place to another especially to the gift shop center during winter.

The parking is somewhat difficult to get at visitor center but there is huge free parking lot nearby.

I did the “Angels Share” tour that included tastings of the single barrel collection and limited edition whiskeys. The tour included a full walk through of the whiskey making process at the different buildings and was very informative, fun, and interactive! After the tour, I recommend visiting the little town square with a few local shops, and to get some JD gear. I ended up taking a couple distillery exclusives home and excited to try them soon :)

Our tour guide was amazing!

The tour was fun and we learned a lot. It lasts about 90 minutes, then we sat down in a "classroom" inside one of the barrel houses. We sampled 5 whiskeys.

It's a short drive from Nashville. A must see for whiskey lovers.

We had a fantastic tour of the distillery. It is the one and only place on earth where they make Jack Daniels Tennessee whiskey. Every drop of Jack sold in more than 130 countries comes right from here. Why? Because the water from the limestone cave and spring is so pure.

Our tour, led by Brandi, was simply amazing. We started in the beautiful visitors center and then saw how the charcoal through which all Jack products go through is made, followed by how the fermentation and mellowing processes are done. Brandi is a second or third generation employee and was a wonderful guide.

We not only learned how the distilling process works but all about the life and times of Jack Daniel himself. Standing only 5’2”, a confirmed bachelor having 7 girlfriends at one time, he was a giant in the distilling industry. He died young, at 61 a result of complications of gangrene when, in a fit of rage, he kicked a big heavy safe in his office because he couldn’t get it open. He neglected his wound and then gangrene set in. There are more interesting stories she told as well.

This tour was well worth the hour and a half drive (Lynchburg is south of Nashville) one way to see it. If you’re a Jack fan this is a must attend tour.

This is such an experience that you will want to take the tour multiple times. It is entertaining, educational and EVERY staff member is excellent and kind. The things they do here are amazing and absolutely nothing goes to waste. Learning the whole process just makes you like them even more. Even if you are not a Whiskey fan you will enjoy your time here. Thank you to all the wonderful staff and town of Lynchburg!

Long drive to a dry county, but the tour was fun. Our guide was funny and the trip (and tasting) were worth it. Not much in town, and they say if you want to eat at “the restaurant” you should make a reservation in advance.

Absolutely amazing experience, and well worth the 1.5 hour drive from Nashville. They take you around the entire property, giving you the history of Jack Daniels and show you the whiskey-making process from the water source, to milling, to fermenting, to distilling, to barreling, and finally to bottling. The tour ends with a whiskey tasting in their original barrel house. We did the Angel's Share tour, which includes a tasting of their more premium whiskies. The Single Barrel Cask Strength Rye was some of the most delicious whiskey I've ever had. They also offer a drink during the tour for an additional $7. I hear it is usually a Jack and Coke slushie, but for us it was hot chocolate with Tennessee Fire whiskey, and it was very good. Jacob was an incredible tour guide and you could tell he enjoys what he does. Highly recommend this tour to everyone.

A tour that lived up to the hype. Once of the best distillery/brewery tours we have ever been on, with the best tour guide in Kim. Kim reminds me of a Paula Dean with her humor and energy she puts into her job.

Angel Share tour gives the ability to taste hard to find whiskeys you might never ever find in stores.

Well worth the trip, cost and time to learn a lot of interesting facts while sipping on some quality whiskey.

What an amazing place! Debbie was an excellent tour guide, and was very knowledgeable about the area and the distillery itself and made the whole experience. Even more fun! The beauty is beyond anything you can imagine in the Tennessee hills! Would definitely recommend.

A couple of friends and I went there in a guys trip. We really enjoyed it. The guide was really good and I learned a lot and had fun doing it.

I truly can’t understand some of the negative reviews on here. People being late and missing the tour, people complaining they have to pay for a tour, not enough whiskey for the tasting. It’s like these people have zero concept of how the world works. If you’re late, there are consequences. That’s the world. It’s a business. They make money selling tours. That’s the world. It’s a tasting, that’s how that works. You only get a little taste. That’s the world.

I’m sure some of the negative reviews may be deserved. Every business has an off day or an errant employee. But that doesn’t mean the entire organization deserves condemnation.

I don’t drink whiskey but I was in Nashville and thought this could be fun. It was only about an hour and a half drive. I stopped at the Whiskey Trailhead center first then walked over to town - not very far at all, I don’t even think it was a quarter mile. There is a shuttle bus if you aren’t able or don’t want to walk. I found out after that if you take the distillery tour first some places in town offer discounts but nothing was outrageously priced anyway.

I bought a tour ticket on-site and not in advance and only waited about 15 minutes for the tour to start. I did the tour with a tasting but the entry level one. If you are a whisky drinker you may want to take the other tour. I enjoyed the tour and the tasting. It was very informative. The tour guide was very knowledgeable. You do have to walk a bit but it’s not far and it’s not up hill. There are some stairs but this isn’t a strenuous hike or anything. The operation is very interesting. I had no issues parking, but I went on a Friday at the end of November. I imagine weekends and probably over the summer they are pretty full and you might want to book in advance.

If you decide to go into the town of Lynchburg, stop in the old jail museum. That was pretty interesting too and the man working in there, Ernie, knows a lot on the history of Lynchburg.

My wife and I visited the distillery on a Monday, and it was incredible! The property is beautiful and full of so much history it’s unbelievable, we did the dry county tour because we had to drive home to Florida after but the tasting tours are held in a absolutely stunning barrel house. Our tour guide was Anthony and he was incredible, he had such a great personality and was able to answer every question our tour group asked! We will be back and if your visiting Nashville this is a must see distillery

What a fantastic tour and experience! Our guide Lisa made the experience for sure. We did the Angels Share tour, would highly recommend it. Got to taste No 7, single barrel, single barrel select, rye and one of the special Tennessee editions you can only get in the state. It’s warm in the fermentation building so hopefully you’re there on a mild climate day. If you learn one thing from your tour, it’s not to kick a safe 😉

Wonderful tours. It was so interesting doing the guided tour. It was really neat hearing the history of the distillery. The smell in the air was awesome. I would definitely recommend doing a tasting tour as well. The grounds and area are beautiful. The city square was really cool to walk around as well.

Keep in mind that if you visit this distillery with kids, you couldn’t choose an excursion to taste whisky 😅
Only non-alcoholic tour)
But despite this, all was great. I highly recommend it!

Incredibly impressed! We chose the “Flight of Jack Daniels” tour and I loved it! We did our tour with guide Lea and he was fantastic. He was funny and personable and really made the tour that much more enjoyable.

He told us all about the history of Jack Daniels, how the company was founded, and you get to learn a lot about what goes into making Jack Daniels. You get to see the barrels, Jack Daniel’s actual old office, and all of that good stuff.

I would recommend comfortable shoes, and a water bottle, as there is walking and it is outside - so it can get super hot here in Tennessee. I would definitely also recommend adding on a drink for your first stop, we tried the Jack Lemonade and the Jack & Coke slushy and they were both delicious and a nice way to cool down during the tour.

There’s a lovely gift shop just a 5 minute walk away but they do offer a shuttle bus if mobility is an issue. We rented a car from Nashville Airport and it was well worth the drive and was a lovely way to start our trip!

A great experience for a large distillery operation. If you have been to a small distillery, or make your own, you have an understanding how this large commercial operation functions. It is interesting that they make their own charcoal for filtering their product. And, they have their own special spring they pump water from for their spirit recipes.

The tour was fact and history filled, and our tour guide, Ms. Lisa, did an excellent job. Her wit, personality, and detail delivery was most entertaining. She is a real asset to Jack Daniel's.

The tasting and discussion about other offerings not in the tasting was enjoyable and enlightening. Ms. Lisa shared her thoughts about various adult beverage concoctions, which was appreciated. In the picture below, Jack is the man with the white hat to the right of the stairs . . . Standing! A very short man he was. But, certainty paid attention to his mentors learning his craft.

If you are in the area, consider. If you are lucky, Ms. Lisa will be your tour guide!
