Goodness Gracious Restaurant and Catering

Goodness Gracious is, by far, my new favorite brunch spot in town. Their new location at the Fountains is so cute and nicely decorated. The staff are very friendly and work to get you seated quickly even though they stay so busy the whole weekend.

And the food!! Honestly, if you take one thing from this review - order the pancakes. May just be the best buttermilk pancakes I’ve had in ages.

But really there hasn’t been anything I’ve tried that I didn’t like! The bacon & Gouda omelette was perfectly savory, the stuffed strawberries were great, and the biscuits are soft and perfect with butter and jam provided.

The Gouda grits were also a major hit, but again, I’m here to say that you simply HAVE to get the pancakes as one of your sides (or the whole meal, no judgment here).

I’ve been twice this month and look forward to when I’ll be able to go again

Every time we've gone here (or tried to go here), there has been a line. So, expect a wait!

However, it was worth it! The food was good, and the staff was very friendly.

We ordered the Peanut Butter Burger, Cinnamon Swirl pancake, and the special Quiche (I forget which one now).

While I will say that I didn't are for my burger, it wasn't because of the restaurant's fault. I was taking a chance, trying something "different", and I knew what I was getting into. I definitely will NOT be ordering it again; however, it was done very well and cooked well. I don't fault them at all.

The cinnamon swirl pancake was HUGE! Our little girl loved it. Very tasty.

They accidentally gave my wife the wrong quiche when our food came. By the time she realized it and was trying to flag down the waiter, he was coming over to tell her it was the wrong one. They remade hers (quickly), and brought it out fresh. All of her food was very good too.

We will definitely be back, but this time I think I'll be ordering something else!

Wonderful food and wonderful service. Get here as soon as you can because the food is home made and beautifully delicious and seats are fillin fast. I can't wait to come back soon for such a fabulous brunch. Thank you!!

I got the eggs Benedict with stuffed strawberries, Gouda grits, and pecan coffee. The food and the service were excellent, and the atmosphere was pleasant and aesthetically pleasing. My friend got an omelet with French toast and stuffed strawberries, and she said everything was delicious.

This is hands down one of the best restaurants I have even been to, no joke. The food is incredible, and had such unique flavors and combinations. Our server, Taylor, was amazing, always on top of everything and she had great recommendations. Highly recommend coming here if you’re in the area or if you’re based in LA like myself. No matter where you live the trip is worth it. Trust me. This is some Michelin Star type food. Food Network you need to stop by.

Had breakfast here this morning and everything was cooked perfectly. My traditional eggs Benedict was amazing. Service was outstanding. Our waiter was on point and had great knowledge of how things were prepared in the kitchen. Atmosphere was very welcoming. Will definitely come back

First visit to this quaint brunch spot, but definitely will not be my last. Our server was amazing, the atmosphere was very welcoming. I've been celebrating my birthday all weekend so I meet some friends for brunch. The fruit tea...get it! I ate the vegetable omelet with Gouda grits and hashbrown casserole. The rest of our party had the chicken and waffles and short ribs spuds....like I said, I will be returning for another dose of deliciousness 😋

This place is damn good. Have been probably four times and each time am blown away by something new. Potato casserole, their Benedict’s, the breakfast burrito, I could go on and on. Truly one of the best breakfast restaurants I’ve ever been to!

Came here yesterday for a Broker Brunch meeting. There were quite a few of us, but they were absolutely willing to accommodate all of us!! The staff was incredibly gracious, courteous and efficient! Loved the food, I never knew I could have french toast after a BLT, along with a dish I thought only my sister-n-law could make - PINEAPPLE CHEESE CASSEROLE!!! It was absolutely delish!!!! The atmosphere, including the ladies room was incredibly aesthetically pleasing - (I have to mention it because it is a part of the establishment which should have some positive attention, especially if you plan to visit it) - this place literally has it all!! Love it and plan on putting it down as one of my "go to" places!! Price was very reasonable!!

I will always sing their praises. By far the best breakfast I've ever had. The quiche Lorraine was SUPERB. and as always we were well taken care of

Everything about our lunch today was incredibly good! The table had quiche, Ruben and the bacon/brie/pepper jelly sandwich; all with sides. The servings were plenty ample. I think my best treat was the white chocolate and raspberry pancakes❤❤❤.
We were all so impressed with this place.
I can't wait to return.

All I can say is “Goodness Gracious”! This outstanding place was highly recommended and it did not disappoint! If you haven’t been here, it is a must come…the pierogi’s are out of this world and don’t get me started on the cinnamon swirl pancakes and stuffed strawberries! The food was delicious, atmosphere fantastic, and the service was phenomenal! When I come back to Murfreesboro I will be coming back here!!!

Finally tried this place, it is tucked away amongst a lot of little shops and restaurants on Medical Center. There was a wait, which we expected, not too bad though. First, the people are so friendly! Ann was very pleasant, and our server, Hadleigh, was just so friendly too. Plenty of suggestions on the food since we had never been here. So, the food: veggie omelette was perfect, just right, and the hash brown casserole was great. Short stack of pancakes were probably the best I have ever eaten. Lightly crispy around the edge and light and fluffy. I mean I will go back for the pancakes! Wife had an excellent Quiche Lorraine with grits and a pineapple-cheese side that was delicious but rich. Both meals came with bread, we chose the lemon-poppyseed muffins, which after the volume of food in the main meal we could not eat so we took those home and they were great without tea later. Highly recommend this place.

Delicious food! I ordered the quiche of the day expecting a slice, it was a whole individual sized quiche. The flavor was amazing and cooked to perfection. The French toast I had as a side was so fluffy and tasted even better than it looked. My husband’s burger was big and perfectly juicy! Our server was Hadley and she was so delightful and friendly. I can’t wait to come back again!

Finally visited for the first time in years, since the restaurant was in downtown Murfreesboro. Friendly service and the server was very knowledgeable of the menu items. Nice & roomy inside with additional parts of the dining room sectioned off. (There is also outdoor seating.)

Very good breakfast! I had the Polish Plate which is pierogis, kielbasa, and eggs (biscuits and cheese grits as my sides,) and southern pecan coffee. Others in our party had Cinnamon Swirl Pancakes, and the Oh My Goodness breakfast (with baked pineapple cheese casserole!) We also ordered cream cheese strawberries to go. All were tasty!

Will definitely be back! There are a couple of other menu items I need to try 😋

We drove an hour to the borough to eat and go shopping. I asked for recommendations for brunch on Facebook and 80% of the responses said Goodness Gracious. I'd go back and recommend it to anyone. Tip: BYOB

I haven't been since they moved to the fountains, and I remember being worried that they would lose their charm.
The space is wonderful! No charm lost at all.

Our server was great. No glasses empty! He even came back to confirm when he felt he wrote down the wrong item for my friend.

The food is HUGE. We honestly could have ordered my dish and still had leftovers (probably). I had the plan of getting the sweet potato pancakes with apples, but that's no longer on the menu. Beware: the menu on their website hasn't been updated (I pulled it this morning and those pancakes were on it). The menu at this new location is a bit smaller, but most of the favorites are still there.
My friend tried one of the favorites: pineapple with cheese. It was not for her. It was also not the pineapple with cheese I have had before, but it's obvious people love it 🤣
She also had the hash brown casserole and the BAT Benedict. She loved those!

I had the short rib spuds with sunny side up eggs and coffee. My total was $23+tip, but I seriously have 2/3 of my meal left. When you consider the portions they're hauling out of the kitchen, the prices are fair. If you can eat the whole meal, more power to you. I am so full and I only ate about 1/3 of it!

If you haven't ever been or haven't been since they moved, give them a shot. People start piling in as soon as they open. We arrived at opening (8) and we were not the first people there!
They're obviously doing something right, and I'm here for it.

Caution: I didn't ask about GF today. I ordered hash browns because they tend to be safe to me. I saved the biscuit my meal came with for my partner. I'm sure they would have helped me with the menu had I asked, but call ahead maybe if you're GF!

It was a great breakfast and the food was so fresh. The big room inside can get kind of loud if busy.

I've ordered catering from the Readyville location in the past, and it was always delicious, but I'd never had their breakfast until today at the new Murfreesboro restaurant.

Oh my goodness... Way more food than I anticipated, and every bite I took was scrumptious! I had the ham and cheese omelette, hash browns and filled strawberries. Could not even eat half.

The reason 4 stars for service was confusion on who was handling our table. Staff was super friendly however.

I will definitely be back!

We had a very short wait and were quickly greeted by our server Isabelle. She was helpful, attentive, and friendly. The cinnamon swirl were possibly the best pancakes I've ever had. The breakfast burrito also exceeded our expectation. The meals are not a inexpensive, but the quality, atmosphere, and service is well worth the price.
