Middle Creek Veterinary Hospital & Exotic Animal Clinic

We took our guinea pig here for the first time recently. Everyone was extremely nice. You can truly feel the love they have for animals! Dr. Swan did a thorough examination and answered all of our questions. I felt so comfortable and didn't feel rushed at all during our appointment. Will definitely be back and recommend to everyone!

Dr. Swan and her team are fanfreakingtastic! We love it here, and all of our dogs do as well (2 German Shepherds & a Belgian Malinois). She's got the shepherd touch, and my dogs greet her & her team with tail wags, kisses, and love.

Dr. Swan and her fabulous team are hands down the best veterinarian team around! They have cared for my veiled chameleon since he was a little guy and continue to do so in the best manner possible! Everyone is so genuine and caring and goes over and beyond for Aiko when we bring him in. I recommend this amazing team to anyone who has an exotic pet needing great care. I would give 5000000 stars if I could!

Just recently brought my Nile monitor hear to unfortunately to be euthanized. I have to say the compassion shown by the doctors techs animal care assistants and receptionist was astounding. Thank you for making a difficult experience much easier to bare. And I will definitely be bring the rest of my critter to middle creek. And once again thank you so much for taking care of my Xerxes and making his last moments peaceful and memorable.

Almost about a year ago, my cockatiel (Capella) became very sick. I had been in and out of veterinary offices, the emergency vet, and a vet up in Durham. I decided to give middle creek a try, as everything the previous vets had done was not working. My first of many visits with middle creek were a great experience. The staff were all very kind, and were gentle/caring with Capella, she definitely loved all the attention she recieved under their care. I felt that the services were reasonable and affordable. We saw a different vet everytime when we had an appointment, and they were all very caring and informative. We had tried numerous antibiotics with no luck, so we proceeded with an x-ray. Unfortunately masses were found in her lungs, so they referred me to NC state to look into it more in depth. The vet that gave me the referral was very empathetic towards my situation and showed much concern for Capella. The vet did not sugar coat the situation and was honest, which I greatly appreciate due to the fact that Capella was suffering and it was an urgent case. When I took her to NC state, unfortunately they discovered she had a rare form of cancer in her lungs and there was nothing we could do, so I had to make the hard decision to put her to rest. I'm extremely grateful for all the staff at middle creek and being so involved with Capella's care, as well as her well being. Everyone was very helpful and made the many months long battle a little less stressful. I know that Capella had appreciated everything they did for her as well, in trying to make her feel better. Capella's pain came to an end in August 2022, but I'm writing this review now to give a big thank you to all the staff at Middle Creek vet!

My family and I love middle creek and have been taking all of our pets there for years! Our dogs, cats, hamsters, bearded dragon, and ball python couldn’t get better care anywhere else! The nurses are wonderful! Racheal and Toni are always knowledgeable and kind! Dr. Swan and Dr. Jaffe are compassionate and treat our pets like they’re their own. Thank you everyone at Middle Creek for all you do!

I highly recommend Middle Creek Vet!!! The staff is very friendly and very caring. Everyone took such great care of me and my guinea pig. Dr. Jaffe was awesome with Cooper! She truly cares about you and your pet. She treated both of us with such care. She always provide Cooper with the best solutions and care possible. Dr. Jaffe along with Jamie at the front desk both made sure to check up on me and my guinea pig. They answered any questions or concerns I had. I am so thankful for them!! Thanks Middle Creek! :)

I couldn't have asked for a better place to go in an emergency. We have taken our Bearded Dragon Yoshi here before for a check up, but yesterday my dog fell on the stairs and was showing signs that he was really hurt. No other vets would take him due to being full, but even though Middle Creek had appointments they didn't turn Charlie down <3 they made time for him because they care about animals and knew they needed to make sure he was okay. I am an absolute wreck when it comes to my animals and Charlie is my baby boy. The staff were comforting and understanding to both myself and my Charlie and knew how loved he is to us. He unfortunately tore his CCL and has a long road ahead of him but it was so comforting to know that he was in good hands with Dr. Swan and the Middle Creek staff. We are forever grateful to you all for making the time to check on Charlie and treating him as one of your own <3

We had a very unfortunate accident with our pet Guinea pig Buster and I rushed him to Middle Creek Vet. I had never been but they were closest I could find for exotics. They took him right in without question or appointment and gave him the best care they could. He unfortunately was in rough shape and there wasn’t much else they could do after 2 days of care but I can’t tell you how happy I am that I found this place. They made it as easy as possible to cross him over the rainbow bridge and were so sweet, understanding and caring from the front desk, to the techs and the wonderful doctor. They were all so sweet and you could definitely tell how much they truly love animals and how awful they felt when I was a ball of tears in the office. I definitely recommend them and I’m thinking about bringing all my fur babies to them now! Thanks for all your help guys! -Busters Family

Today I visited with my two young ferrets Armin and Rigby, and I cannot recommend this clinic enough!
The doctors were so patient with my wiggly boys, and everyone seemed so happy to be taking care of my boys today- through the appointment, both Armin and Rigby were loved on and played with. The doctor allowed them to sniff and inspect their tools when they were feeling ultra curious during the exam!
The examination was very thorough and the doctor gave me clear answers on health of my ferrets and addressed all of my concerns. They even gave me some great advice to keep up with their health and hygiene. I’m so thankful for all of the staff, and I will continue to come back to middle creek!

Great service and people! Dr. Swan, Dr. Jaffe, and staff looked over my Guinea pig Ragnar and I am very grateful. I brought him in for different things: weird noise when he pooped, eye ulcer, and then recently a head tilt where they found he had lymphoma and we had to put him to sleep. They are extremely kind, accommodating, knowledgeable, and look out for your pets well being. They always worked with me and my schedule and always took care of my little guy. ❤ I definitely recommend them!! (Oh and if you get their voicemail, don’t be alarmed, they will call you back!)

I’ve been coming to Middle Creek for a few years now with my previous dog who we had to say goodbye to a few months ago. Dr. Jaffee is excellent and the technicians are great. We brought our new dog in yesterday for the first time and I was really nervous about how she would react because this was the first time I have taken her to the vet since adopting her, and she is usually weird around new people. They really took the time to be patient and kind with her and to earn her trust. It meant the world to me and seeing her thrive with their help really made me feel good. Their prices are fair and they offer excellent care. Thank you guys for everything you do!

I am so grateful I found this place! I had a very sick little chameleon that went downhill quick. I called asking if I could rush him in and they were able to squeeze me in. The staff was so friendly and supportive and Dr. Lanier was seriously the most down to earth and sweetest vet I have ever had the pleasure to speak with. She took her time, explained everything that was happening and laid all of my options out without pressuring me into anything. I will be bringing my pets here going forward.

Dr. Lanier and the rest of the staff were so wonderful and took really great care of my sick Ball Python. The wait time was pretty long, but they accommodated me for a same day appointment so I can't really complain. Our girl is on the mend now thanks to their wonderful care.

Love this vet. All of the staff are beyond amazing and kind. They really care for the animals and make sure the animals are as comfortable as possible. I honestly can't believe how patient they are with nervous cats.
I had to put one of my cats down due to cancer, and they really made the process as smooth as possible. They even handled the cremation process so I wouldn't have to worry about scheduling it myself.

I showed up very promptly with a pretty good idea how my little mans was doing.. the Dr was very cautious and nice with Dugg. They actually offered to help me with funding and sedate and put him to rest for no cost.. i cant explain how much they helped with this heart break. 10 out of 5 stars. Crying thinking about it.

So thankful for Middle Creek veterinary and all of their staff. We are not patients there but found ourselves in an emergency situation with our guinea pig. Thankfully they were there to help us transition him to the rainbow bridge. Thank you for all that you did for our family and squeakers

Best exotic vet in the area. I have 5 rats and they have treated 3 of them with great success. Reasonable pricing for an exotic vet and will squeeze you in if there's an urgent matter. Highly recommend!

This practice has a phenomenal team!
I moved to this side of town and looked for a new vet because ours retired.

I have had multiple instances where I need to make an urgent visit and have had my fur babies seen.

I am so appreciative of the love and care we receive from everyone. Our babies are always in good hands.

Let me start by saying they are the kindest people and value each and every animal that walks through the door. I have a Guinea pig that was showing signs of needing emergency care and no one else would help her and if they did help her the bill would have been way more than i paid here. I called here and they were just as concerned as I was. They took such good care of my baby and walked me through everything they were doing.They even knew my Guinea pigs name and she had never even been there before. I felt so heard and understood here and even when they were super busy they still made sure to acknowledge me and let me know they didn’t forget about me. Pricing is fair and they didn’t try to bully me into anything that I didn’t want to do but made sure i understood what each and every recommendation was for. They also gave me a replacement carrier when they noticed mine was broken from my animals chewing on it. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone and a thank you is not enough for the help I received here.
