Awesome location to grab a refreshment and an after-hike cheeseburger. Amazing burgers, great fries and onion rings!! Great location and atmosphere.

Best hecken burger we’ve ever had!! And we’ve had some pretty amazing burgers. This one just dethroned them all. Their side portions are generous and perfectly crispy onion rings and bacon (upon request). The owner and young staff are super cool and friendly, easy to talk to at the counter seats, fun people with a lot of talent. The building itself has a charming design and feel to it, just across the lake docks and tucked away in the fall colors. Our one regret was splitting the burger thinking our stomachs would be too small this morning. Definitely going back for a full one each!

Best burger in KC. 11oz dbl is perfectly cooked. Fries and tater bombs are delicious. Live music lake life scene is so relaxing. Cool people. Get the burger people. It's for real. Chandler and Susie are awesome.

Just ate here for the first time. Very nice little place to eat on the lake. Food was great and Jessica was the only one working at the time, but she did not skip a beat. She got the order right and everything was in a timely matter.

Not to mention the prices are great, half the price of a big sit down restaurants and better food.

It's a little off the beaten path, but it is worth it and we will definitely be recommending this place and coming back again.

Wow, I had no idea this little gem was here until I saw it on google maps. We stopped in on a dreary Sunday afternoon and were pleasantly surprised! Our server/cook was very friendly. We got a lot of food for our money. The burger, onion rings and fried mushrooms hit the spot. I cant wait to come back out here in the spring to sit outside to enjoy the view. I love that its in an old WPA building. They don't makem like this anymore.

The kiddos and I were up here for soccer for the oldest. We love to eat at new places and prefer keeping our money local. Loved it had out side eating area. Definitely dug their tables outside. It's in old rock building, which I fell in love with. It has a good view of the lake. The inside had a bar setting. The cook did an amazing job getting all four of our meals out, and they were still hot. We all had waters but did notice they served beer. For those who would enjoy a cold beer with your meal. We will definitely be making this a stop for us when in the area. There was also fishing right by the building. Keep up the good work, and thank you for my wonderful memories with my kiddos.

Y’all! A best kept secret that won’t be for long. Fresh-hand pressed-burgers!! I don’t know what they marinate or season with but these are some of the best burgers I’ve ever had. For real. Been here a few times now in my bike and also with my kids. Great people, with a friendly hello as you walk in. Hang out inside diner style or the outside patio on the lake. The park lake is beautiful and worth a drive around the loop of the lake. As a motorcycle rider, some nice low speed twisty’s too! Grab the family and make a day of it!

Such a cool little spot on the water. It's a hidden gem. Nothing fancy but my burger was darn good. Serves breakfast food, chicken tenders, burgers and daily specials like pork chops. We will definitely come back when in the area.

Loved this little place! Nothing fancy, just great burger-type food at a reasonable price. And if the sun is out and if it's not too hot outside, the view and tranquility is unmatched!

Excellent friendly service for their made fresh food!... I got this really good grilled chicken salad, took a while as they had to grill chicken and chop up the salad - not pre-packaged greens like I figured!

The cheeseburgers are good old fashioned burgers. It was delicious ! The waffle fries were perfectly seasoned and done. The staff is super friendly. You can’t beat the atmosphere!

Loved this hidden gem! Tucked in Wyandotte County lake park. It's fabulous. It's clean. Could old building. Went in for a late lunch. Thought it would take a while and there was 9 of us. The gal behind the counter was amazing. She was quick accurate and nice.
The food was hot and great. Really good onion rings the burger was good size and tasted great. Prices are fair. Will definitely be back!

Great big hand made burger done just right with fresh veggies. Good mozz sticks and chicken fingers for the kiddos. Nice patient young lady took our order (one nearly deaf guy and two little kids with mom). Cool spot outside to eat and watch boats. This place is a casual dining winner.

Lakeside snack cafe. Was highly impressed by the simple yet tasty food, and the friendly service. I had a delicious deli sandwich (Turkey), while GF had the grilled cheese. Both were tasty and reasonably priced. They had basic beers (bud light and such) but I didn’t have any.

It’s dog friendly and perfectly situated on the lakeside. I can’t wait to return when the weather warms up.

I love it! Great food, friendly people and the vibe of this establishment is priceless. Go get you some.
