Herschel King Park

Beautiful park nestled in a quiet area of palm coast. Lots of parking for cars, boats and trailers. Gazebo with table, play area for young kids and restrooms available. The boat ramp access and pier for fishing are very convenient. The walking trail is serene and filled with lots of natural beauty. Open from dawn to 11pm.

A very nice park with lots of room and parking. There is a large pavilion available. There are restrooms except no water fountain. The 20 acre park is very clean and there is a playground for children. The pavilion has many picnic tables and lots of shade. There are also tables under the trees along the sidewalk going to the fish launch. There are barbecues scattered throughout the park. Parking by the fish launch is reserved for cars and trucks with boat trailers. The park is dedicated to Herschel King who served 33 years in the Flagler school system from 1953 to 1986. The park is open from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. 7 days a week.

Wow, I just can't believe how blessed we are to have these kinds of gorgeous waterfront parks available to us for free! The setting is so beautiful and retains the nature of old Florida. Boat ramp and truck/trailer parking are free; fish or crab from the rocks or along the wide walkway or the huge dock and pavilion right on the Intracoastal. It has a big covered picnic and grill pavilion and fun children's playground too... All nestled under gorgeous old oaks! It's a great park!

Beautiful park with 2 boat ramps , no charge to use them . I applaude palm coast for not charging for every little thing . Great place to live

Did a father son BBQ here for my church(Beachside Community Church). The pavilion area is great and there were plenty of activities for all the kids. Good fishing. Highly recommend.

Nice clean water side park. Very enjoyable relaxing atmosphere. Plenty of parking. Kids had a blast.

Beautiful spacious park. With large playground. It's also a boat ramp so you can see boats. A decent size boardwalk that over looks the intercoastal with a picnic table at the end. Very shady throughout park. And lots of open space! Plus a covered pavilion with grill.

Beautiful park. Easy access to the intracoastal with a great little dock. The boy loved the playground, which was in great shape. Ample parking and paths, we went back to get rid of some energy a few days later. Will absolutely come back the next time we are in town.

Very nice park. Well kept and clean restrooms. Quiet, at least during our couple visits. There is a nice playground with typical play equipment. Well off the main road and next to the Matanzas River with a path leading to the water and boat launch.

Nice little fishing spot, covered pier with running water and boat landing. I would not stay after dark, it is lit at the pier but the walk back is not. Me and my son ran into some shady looking people on the way out.

I love stopping in here it's like tranquility right on the edge of the water. It's always so quiet and peaceful. It's a great place to go and have a picnic. They have a park. A boat ramp. And cute little trails to walk down. You just have to watch your step because it is a natural park.

Nice and shaded! It gets so hot and usually all unshaded playgrounds are a big no no unless you want to burn your skin off while going down the slide. This is definitely my first pick when it is hot and we are headed out for some fun.

Went on a weekday, less people around. Very nice fishing pier, able to catch crabs and mackerel. There's a playground, boat launch area, clean restroom. Overall, a good experience.
