The Kathryn Riverfront Inn, Ascend Hotel Collection

Location for this hotel is perfect! Not too crowded but super convenient for walking the Prom. We were able to get to food, drinks and shops all while being a 5-7 minute walk from the hotel. The rooms were amazing and we had a beautiful view of the river!

Super clean, great staff and very friendly. Views of the boardwalk and river are great, little spendy for just a night, but very nice rooms. Gym, hot tub, and pool are pretty great and walking distance to the beach with shopping local to and from!

We stayed with my family for just one night and we really liked it, the room was nice with a great view of the river, comfortable bed and pillows, the breakfast was delicious. there is a pool and hot tub . We will definitely stay at this hotel again!

Very friendly staff, clean rooms and great location. We stay in Seaside a minimum of 30 nights a year. So glad I tried this hotel . I won't be going back to the place I used to stay anytime soon.

The room was a good size. It also had a small balcony overlooking the river with one chair (2 small chairs would have been nice). The bed was comfortable. Also had two soft robes to use. Breakfast was typical. We would stay here again.

room 312 was a suite with a jacuzz and a sofa bed. Amazing service by the front desk staff and complementry hot delicious breakfast from 7:30-9:30 am. Pool and Gym open 24 hours and 1 block off main strip to all restaurants and Seaside Beach. Highly recommend this hotel!!!

This was mid-February, and our first time staying somewhere in Seaside not directly on the waterfront. Honestly, it was such a lovely place that I might pass up the ocean-view properties going forward! Everything about our stay was wonderful, from the gorgeous lobby that greeted us when we walked in, to the well-appointed and tasty breakfast we enjoyed on our final day. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful for our entire stay. You could really tell they were working to go the extra mile and make guests feel comfortable, even on an extremely busy weekend with a big dance event at the nearby conference center.

Speaking of, the location was great! Right on the river, a very quick walk to the beach, and in the middle of the main cluster of shops, restaurants, and attractions along Broadway.

The room was spacious with vaulted ceilings on the top floor. The decor wasn’t anything flashy, but felt authentic and homey in a way that a lot of “modern” design room don’t. The cute little balcony over the river was a wonderful place to enjoy a cup of coffee or glass of wine. And, the room was equipped lovely printed mugs and wine glasses to use for either! We loved them so much we asked at the desk if we could purchase a pair to take home, and you can!

This was just one of the many special touches we noticed at The Kathryn. I personally enjoyed having access to not just a pool, but a hot tub and sauna. Even better, that access is available 24 hours! While we didn’t end up using them ourselves, we appreciated the games and DVD’s available in the lobby for guests to enjoy. My favorite feature, by far, was the surprise salmon chowder served in the lobby in the afternoon that I still can’t stop thinking about. A perfect little pre-dinner snack that served us well for a slightly chilly walk on the Prom.

Overall, just a really impressive and memorable stay. I definitely recommend to anyone staying in Seaside!

My first but surely not the last stay at the Kathryn Riverfront Inn. It was nothing short of stellar, above & beyond and exceeded all expectations!
The Manager Brienne (sp) deserves special recognition for her exceptional attentiveness and genuine care as she is dedicated to ensuring that every guest feels valued and well taken care of, which truly sets Kathryn Riverfront Inn apart.
She went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction, with impeccable service throughout my stay.

Cleanliness is paramount to me, so I was thoroughly impressed by the pristine condition of my room, the facilities; evidently meticulous care is taken to maintain a spotless environment.

Every little detail mattered at the hotel, like free chowder after 4pm, beautiful fireplace to lounge in, the 24-hour pool, Jacuzzi, and hot sauna offered a perfect way to unwind with free Wi-Fi, incredible complimentary hot full breakfast buffet especially while seated in a very large rustic medieval design kitchen and bar. Absolutely beautiful!! CLASSY ALL THE WAY!!!!

I am incredibly grateful to the management and staff and eagerly look forward to my next visit.

Perfect in every way. Next time I'm heading to Seaside on my own, I'm asking for the same room. The weather was fantastic. We walked to the beach every day.

I highly recommend this resort hotel for all its charm and added benefits, including evening chowder, cookies and a full hot breakfast. Classy rooms remind me of Hilton quality without the high price tag.

It should be at least 4 stars in hotels ranking. Service is great. Rooms are very clean. Pool area is excellent.

we had a great time and we absolutely love this place this was our 24th anniversary trip the staff was great and accommodating when we called and added another night at the beginning of our trip when we told them it was our anniversary they set up the room for us we will always stay here when we come to seaside

We stay here for one night while on our honeymoon and it was a lovely stop along the way. They even gave us an upgraded room for free when we mentioned we were on our honeymoon at check in! The room was so cozy and romantic, we loved the fireplace. The bed was comfortable with soft sheets and blankets. Bathroom was clean and had nice towels. Although it's not right on the beach it it still a great location, only a 5 minute walk from the shore!

We had a fantastic stay here and loved the extra special touches! The afternoon chowder and morning breakfast were really great. We loved the pool, sauna, and hot tub. Customer service was amazing!

This is our second time staying here and we had a wonderful time! The view of the river from our deck was phenomenal. We spent a good chunk of time each day watching the wild life which included some river otters, great blue heron, fish jumping out of the water, cormorants, and people kayaking and paddle boarding. Our room had a great little jacuzzi tub, a fireplace, mini fridge, Kuerig, a two burner stove, a large flat screen, and a king size bed. We enjoyed using the cozy robes provided and snacking on the little bag of salt water taffy! The staff at this location are all wonderful! They gave us cups of lobster chowder when we first arrived and fresh made cookies throughout the whole weekend. We enjoy staying at this location because it is close to everything. About a 10 minute walk to the prom/beach. Great food everywhere and awesome little shops. Seaside is a fun little city with a lot to do! We enjoyed the live music playing on the docks on Saturday as well!

Love the little amenities! (Chowder especially.) Could use more towels. Guessing they'll fix that.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Can't wait to come back. Staff was so friendly, entire hotel was very clean. Fresh cookies daily at 3 or 4. Chowder at 5. Beds were very hard which hurt my back but it was all worth it. Maybe next time the bed will be better. View was amazing, breakfast was good for hotel breakfast.

Excellent hotel in seaside! Only a few min walk to the main strip of shops & is walking distance to the beach. We had an upgraded suite room & it was perfect! Had a jacuzzi (with a view), king sized bed, balcony & a fire place all in the room! Hotel staff was excellent! They even give out free cookies & crab chowder while checking in at the front desk. The lobby has a large fireplace & has a nice comfy vibe. Free breakfast in the morning (which i slept though, so didnt get to try it out). Late check out was available (called & requested it in the morning). The best part is the pool & hot tub are open 24 hours (to adults - children are not allowed in after 10pm). Also has a dry sauna room but it was not working during our stay. I would highly recommend this hotel for your trip to Seaside!
