One of the best vacation rental experiences I've ever had. Friendly staff, beautiful garden in back, funky cute updated rooms. Delicious pastries delivered to your door in a wicker basket. A garage full of things to borrow during your trip, like beach chairs, bicycles, towels, sandcastle gear. The place has a super laid back vibe. Truly a gem.

Oh my goodness!! The Drifthaven is truly the most wonderful place I have ever stayed at. Welcome drinks and breakfast baskets dropped off at your door was above and beyond! The rooms are so cute: the bed and pillows were PHENOMENAL! The backyard bubble was the coolest surprise - to sit and enjoy coffee in the rain in the mornings was just perfect. I couldn’t say nicer things about the staff - they were so kind and welcoming! And the amount of activity accessories we had access to in the garage was so nice! It was so hard to leave, I cannot wait to come back!

Just getting around to writing this - my apologies.

I booked a room for my girlfriend and I back in December; there was some kind of kerfuffle with the computer system, and it didn't register my original booking properly. The staff at The Drifthaven reached out and got my reservation sorted, and upgraded my room selection - which I was not expecting.

This place is well-appointed and -maintained, cozy, has a fantastic location for exploring other Oregon Coast areas nearby, and has to be one of the best B&B type experiences I've ever had. We're definitely planning on re-booking with them at some point in the future, and bringing her kids along to enjoy a week at the beach, particularly because of the fun activity packages they have for "add-ons".

LOVELY spot in cute Gearhart. Easy walk to open, relatively private, sandy beach, and short drives to Seaside and Astoria. Was a perfect midway spot for a romantic weekend on the northwest coast of Oregon. The room was cozy and had everything needed. The staff provided exceptional and welcoming service. Felt at home here. Can’t wait to return.

My first visit and it’s adorable! My room was clean and had everything I needed for my stay with my puppy. I loved that I was at the end of one side of rooms near the patio deck and grass. My puppy is good but not perfect. We had to go out a lot before bed since he is a little crazy at night and takes a lot of time to settle down. I thought the dog dishes were a nice touch and that the room being fresh and clean, was also comfortable for my dog. Everyone was nice and the service is good. Loved breakfast at my door each morning.

If I had to pick one thing that could be improved as a former innkeeper, it would be that if given the opportunity to check-in and out on-line, it should be seamless. I was unable to check-in before my stay and I’ve been working on using the check-out on-line option since last night and the site won’t allow it because I didn’t leave a list of amenities I did not use? Maybe it’s me but it doesn’t have to be this hard to do this from my room bed on my phone :)!! I will definitely be back because of the location, the room, the service and it’s all quite adorable.

A friend and I went for a mid-week getaway after I heard about this place on Instagram. It is SO cute! The room we had was small but perfect for two people, so cozy and well maintained!

The Drifthaven is a lovely little spot in Gearhart. My wife and I enjoyed our weekend stay. The rooms are very nicely sized for a couple - or even a group of 4. The location is great for being quiet and within short walking distance of the beach.

This place was absolutely adorable. Their attention to detail surpass that of any of the big chain hotels. I felt welcomed and though my business was earned. I will absolutely come back. Oh and did I mention it was spotless!!

This was such a peaceful place to go in between our visit from Portland to Seattle. We ended up arriving when there was a wind advisory so while we were looking forward to our beach smores campfire, we were graciously given a hot beverage option brought to our room. The service was phenomenal and we 100% would love to go back and stay longer next time.

This is an absolute gem of a place! Very clean, luxury bedding, incredible snacks and delightful breakfast that is delivered to your door in the morning. Too many great things to list at this place. The location is also top notch, few minute walk to a beautiful beach and a lovely bakery across the street. There are a lot of hotels on the coast that look nice that are not. This place lives up to all of its glory. Book it.

As an East Coaster thousands of miles away, I was delighted to stumble upon The Drifthaven online ahead of my boyfriend and I's one night stay in Gearhart. Upon arrival + our stay, I was even more delighted -- by the coziness, by the aesthetic, by the service (from a very welcoming Cassie). The attention to detail in the room made the stay even more special. Special shout out to Charlie and Heath for taking nearly 10 minutes just to chat with me about recommendations onward to Tilamook on our way out. Thanks all for the wonderful stay!

Lovey hotel and service! Really quaint rooms and suites, lovely bed, amazing small kitchen with loads of convenient amenities!
We only stayed one night but you can borrow bikes, kits for beach bonfires and beach toys for kids! Super kid friendly and the location is amazing - a stone throw away from a beautiful park and beach!

What a lovely surprise we happened upon finding the Drifthaven. The hospitality was on point, our room so beautiful and perfect for our need of downtime. We enjoyed a welcome drink and a lovely fire in the evening in the backyard. We were called home unexpectedly and the management team were gracious to our needs to leave early. We will be back!!

I can be a very picky tenant, and this place is PERFECT. If you value CLEAN, Drifthaven is it. Stylish and functional, comfortable and organized. Everything you need and in a great location. Simple and simply beautiful. I have been in several hotels and vacation rentals across the nation, and I have never been so pleased to write a review on the first night. I feel at home here. Well done Drifthaven.

Stayed here for a couple of nights. Exceeded all expectations. The room was super cozy and beautifully decorated. Rachel, the woman who runs the place was very kind, helpful, and always available if we needed something. The beach is just a short walk away and it’s located in a quiet charming part of Gearhart. Would definitely stay here again and next time bring the fur babies :)

Even though my boyfriend and I only stayed one night, we’re already planning when we can go back! As soon as we sat on the bed after a long day of exploring the Oregon coast, we knew we wouldn’t want to leave! Everything was extremely clean and we loved every piece of the decor. The staff at The Drifthaven have done exceptionally well at creating a really unique and comfortable experience where every detail has been thought of! We especially loved the basket of treats for breakfast to start off our day! Having a parking space right in front of your door is incredibly convenient but take note that you pretty much have to back out and if there are cars next to you it can get tight. That was a very small thing we felt was worth mentioning but wouldn’t stop us from staying again!

We visited the Drifthaven on a babymoon and loved the location, atmosphere, decor, attention to detail and wonderful staff. We brought our dog, who thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful nearby beach. My only comment to the hotel owners would be, for two adults, the provided breakfast of orange juice, fruit and pastries was incredibly sweet. Maybe switch out the pastries for fruit or bagels, cups of instant oats, hard boiled eggs, etc. to tone it down a notch? That is such a small thing, but was the only thing keeping our stay from being absolute perfection. Please stay at the Drifthaven!

I took my two kids (age 4 and 6) on a little adventure just the 3 of us. We stayed in a retreat suite and it was perfect. We loved hanging in the yard playing games, riding scooters around town and walking to the beach. The Drifthaven was a good hub to visit a few attractions within 25min (Lewis and Clark Historic National Park and Fort Stevens State Park- the shipwreck was cool). My son's highlight was visiting the fire station around the corner. The fire fighters graciously answered roughly 3000 of his questions and let him climb on each truck and turn the lights on. The entire staff was incredibly warm and welcoming and Rachel went above and beyond. The hotel is designed beautifully, the breakfast baskets were delicious. The coffee and tea provided were wonderful. I cannot wait to go back. We have already booked the two bedroom suite for next 4th of July. Gearhart is so charming. So quaint and quiet. We were there for this last weekend when it was in the 90s and I think 100 in Portland. I heard all the beaches were insane, not Gearhart. I was actually shocked, given the weather, that it wasn't bananas. One thousand percent recommend.

Absolutely loved our stay at this cute bnb super close to the beach. As an interior designer, the decore was super cute! Rachel and her staff were absolutely wonderful and so accommodating. I look forward to staying here again! Super comfy king sized bed and cozy linens. I have one super minor thing, a warning sign of some sort as you pull into parking lot for low clearance cars. I didn’t notice the sharp angle when I drove up just before dark. I scraped the underside of my car driving in. From that point on I angled in and out of the entry. :)
