My German Shepherd was in very bad condition thanks to this amazing group they Dr. Merritt and his staff my GS is doing a lot better and back to doing mischiefs.

Very friendly, caring office. We have two chihuahuas that are seniors, they are well taken care of here. Always a great experience.

Dr. Merritt was great and respectful in putting our dog down. He was really gentle and explained the procedure to our 7 year old daughter. She passed very peaceful. They even sent us a condolences card. Great staff that did their very best.

I absolutely love animal wellness! The staff are so friendly and Dr. Merritt is such a great vet! I have 4 dogs and 3 cats that I take to see them so I have been there quite a bit and can say I am very pleased with every visit. Highly recommend them to anyone searching for a really great vet!

This place has been amazing! I started out in this town at another local facility and although they weren't terrible, they couldn't properly treat my fur baby and bring her back to normal health which was stressful. Animal Wellness squeezed me in for an urgent appointment. They were sure to inform me of worse case scenario that may be required (possible surgery), but ensured that he was confident that we go the safer route to start. They brought my girl back to full health with a proper course of treatment. Even during Covid their attentiveness and care has been excellent. They are average priced in my standard and I Highly Recommend!!!!!!

The Animal Wellness Center of Mount Dora is the best animal clinic I ever visited. It is not just the beautiful, extremely clean, new building especially built for that purpose and the great location. It is Dr Merritt and his staff! The moment you enter the center, you are greeted by the friendly, smiling staff. They all know you and your fur baby. And what is amazing, your fur baby knows and loves them too! There is not such a thing as a scared puppy or kitty! They all are happy and relaxed while visiting the center. Dr. Merritt is very knowledgeable, dedicated and passionate. You can tell that he loves animals. The center is so awesome, that I do travel to Mount Dora from Orlando, so my puppy can have the best possible veterinary care.

Since moving from Colorado I had been searching for a vet whom I could trust like I did my old vet. I went to Dr. Merritt for a second opinion on my dog's lump as another vet wanted to jump in and do surgery without doing a FNA first. I'm so glad I did as Dr. Merritt is more conservative which I what I'm used to. Not only did he save us a lot of money but he gave us good news! Since then I have returned with our other dog and took Bailey in for a dental and tooth extraction. Because of Covid, I have yet to meet Dr. Merritt in person but his professionalism and demeanor on the phone is top notch. He really takes the time to explain things so I have a complete understanding of the issue. This goes for the entire staff as well! Everybody is so friendly and caring. I am so blessed and happy to have found them!

Dr. Merritt and his staff are awesome in their proficiency and diligence. Here are some examples: 1) I have a rescued cat who has suffered for years with chronic rhinitis (meaning, trouble breathing, probably because his former cheap owner never got him vaccinated as a kitten for upper respiratory infections) and Dr. Merritt prescribed some eye drops that we use as nose drops given to this cat daily, which has not only improved his breathing, but this cat can now be let out to be with other cats which improves his quality of life; 2) because these drops are difficult to find and very expensive, Dr. Merritt sells me the drops when he has some in stock at an affordable price so that I don't have to search the planet for them at a price that I can afford to help maintain this cat's health and happy life; 3) Dr. Merritt always answers all of your questions promptly and offers professional assistance at a level that I have never found anywhere else at other small animal vet offices in the Central Florida area, and always providing services at a reasonable cost; and 4) the staff are always helpful, caring and professional and they always ask the doctor questions for you, as well as actually get back to you with an answer in a reasonable amount of time. I highly recommend Dr. Merritt and his staff to everyone and if you have to drive a little bit, it is well worth the trip. Please visit him and his staff today for the benefit of your pets at home. You will be sooooo glad that you did!

Veterinary visits are much different for all involved now due to COVID-19 but Katy, my contact person took the time asking me important questions and really listening during the outdoor exchange that was made with my kitty at both the drop off and pick up and Dr. Merritt a few days later explained in detail the results he received from current blood work. I was very pleased with the whole experience 😸 especially when my my furbaby was not stressed, appeared to be reasonably calm after his visit.

Very professional. The staff their are the best. We just recently had to put my 15 year old baby Misfit to sleep, and they eased my pain of losing my baby girl. They truly love animals and love what they do. I can't thank them enough.

Dr. Merritt is a fine Vet. My wife and I wouldn't think of taking our cat Jorge to a different Vet. Jack and Debbie Arvan

My first experience with the son of lake county's beloved
SR. Dr. Merritt-very positive experience (the apple hasn't fallen far from the tree). I brought my little fur baby there this morning with possible leg, hip or back injury. Where some could've taken advantage of my layperson's knowledge and ordered multiple tests, he was quite honest and thorough with his exam and diagnosis. He prescribed a mild doggie nsaid, that kept my expenses lower and health of the baby in mind too. Very pleased, and we'll be back!

Very attentive and courteous staff. Dr. Merritt has a very calming demeanor for dogs such as mine, who can be a bit difficult.

The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and the veterinarian is INCREDIBLE. He diagnosed and fixed my cat when three other vets failed. Easy recommendation every time. No brainer.

The office is clean. The staff is wonderful. Very friendly and patient with my anxiety ridden puppy. She seemed far more comfortable here, than at some other offices I had tried. I think I've found a regular vet for her to see. She was spayed and micro chipped this week and recovering well. I couldn't be happier.

Dr Merritt and his staff are wonderful very caring and compassionate . I have six pets and Dr Merritt has always taken his time to explain everything in detail to me and always returns phone calls .Best vetinarian in Mount Dora would not go anywhere else .

We take our dogs to this vet because they are very polite to us and our dogs as every time they go there they get excited to s÷ the Doctor and his helpers.

Dr. Greg Merritt and his wife Dr. Karen Merritt are very nice and accommodating they are true animal lovers and will provide high quality care and services . It is my pleasure to recommend them and the services they provide. The new facility has been open since May of this year it is designed for efficiency and comfort for your pet and has a very nice waiting area .
