Super 8 by Wyndham Athens

I think this place must be under new management based on the last reviews… we had a GREAT stay. Beds and pillows were soooo comfy and the room was very clean. I’m the type of person that brings my own sheets, but i didn’t even put them on because i actually trusted this place! Breakfast room seemed to be out of order, but there are lots of options nearby. This place is really great for the price and location!

Friendly folks. Fridge was replaced promptly when I noticed it was down. Obly real complaint was dust on both refigerators was noticed and left there even when placing microwave back on top.

I think the hotel deserves a higher rating. We stayed for three nights and had no issues at all with our experience. The room was clean, the hotel is quiet, and the staff were friendly. It’s not the fanciest hotel, but a great budget option in the area.

Perfect. Hidden away. Perfect for a place to stay. Rooms are clean. Service was good. Very quiet for my needs.

They got spots for truck drivers that's worth this weight and gold the people that work here are very friendly and the rooms are clean

Best service I've seen. Went above what I've ever seen to make me comfortable. Recently injured. Barely walking. Didn't realize no elevator. No special request. Fully booked on 1st. Offered to take my luggage up. Called a customer that hadn't arrived to see if he needed the handicap room. He agreed he didn't. So they switched me to 1st floor handicap and took my luggage to my room. As well as took it from my room to my car the next day.

Recently we had to attend our granddaughter's university event. I checked all the local hotels and they seemed a bit steep for our one night stay. I am not a big fan of Super 8 hotels but my opinion has definitely changed since staying here. The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean and apparently recently renovated. The bed was comfortable and we had a restful sleep. The hotel may not have all the amenities but for this short stay, it was perfect. The only negative thing I may say is that the breakfast is very basic with not much of a selection. But at this price point, it would be expected and besides just down the road you have a great selection of casual restaurants to chose from.

The room was not fancy, but it was clean, comfortable, and safe. The staff was VERY kind, helpful, and friendly. I would happily stay here again.

I was very nervous to stay here after I read the reviews. However, everything was great! I asked at the check-in desk about the bad reviews and she informed me that new owners took over this hotel 7/1/19. They updated everything. It was very clean. I’m am picky and had no complaints. The breakfast waffles were good, as at any hotel. We were here for parents weekend at OU and will definitely stay here again. Pleasantly surprised! (There was no “creepy” guy as stated in other reviews!)

We stayed in a spacious room with 3 queen beds and really enjoyed the space. Saying there is breakfast is an exaggeration, but it is still worth it because the place is clean and smells nice.

I want to say first I've traveled for my job for 2 yrs now so I spend nights in hotels weekly. This was my first time at a Super 8. I would definitely stay at the location again. Unbelievable clean, super friendly dysfunctional and very accommodating.

Great deal on room. Had no issues, no loud patrons, no loud traffic. Very clean. Pillows were killer! I wanted to steal one!! They had 3 pillows to a bed !!! So comfy

First upon check in on friday July 10th 2015.I was a litte nervous about the stay, there was a young girl checking in yelling acting like an idoit. The ladies at the front desk where apologizing over and over about what I assume was the cost. she berated the ladies over and over but they remained friendly and after getting the girl checked in they were still smiling and friendly with my husband and myself. I would not have been as the girl was calling them nasty names. The room was very clean and quite, the staff was friendly and breakfast was ok. I would definitly stay again when visiting my son in college.

Very Good Hotel, social distancing was observed when checking in and out. Nice clean room, everything operated well.
Spent two nights so I could bicycle the Hockhocking Adena Bicycle Trail.
Room rates were good too. I will recommend this hotel to others.

Additionally the Hotel is right next to the Bike Trail.

The super 8 was fantastic. Had a room with 2 queen sized beds and cable for 2 people. Price was reasonable. Breakfast was not feat but not bad. Overall I would stay again.

Clean and updated. Room had a musty odor. But for the price, it was a good deal.

This is a very nice "Hotel" 8. The staff is available. The rooms are very clean. It's an 8, you know what your getting. They give the best of what's available. I would gladly stay again.

Nice, quiet, clean rooms, friendly & very helpful staff. Good location to anywhere in Athens, OH. Hotel was booked solid and staff went out of their way to answer all our questions. Will stay again.😊
