I feel bad for The business owners reading some of the negative reviews especially the woman talking about how she thought she could install the stove themselves.
If you don’t have basic knowledge and handtools, you shouldn’t even attempt to do it yourself. It is easy for somebody like myself and my friends, but the average homeowner… You can’t do it that’s your problem pay somebody!!!!
My experience with the girl on the telephone today was excellent she was super efficient and gave me a discount because the website had a higher price… The part was shipped immediately and she was nothing short of pleasant.
As near as I can tell, these people are great! Thank you very much from Massachusetts!!!!

We had an excellent experience with the purchase & installation of our gas insert fireplace. During installation a problem was detected with a valve in our propane tank, and the technician would not proceed until the gas company replaced the valve. We’ve been using the fireplace for 4 years & it continues to heat the house on frigid winter mornings. The Woodman’s team also repaired a snowblower for us. They offer pickup & delivery service.

I’ve purchased lawn tractors, leaf blowers and chainsaws (new one today) there and they always treat me great. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful, tolerant of my nonsense (I came in late and needed lots of assistance at the end of their day on a Saturday), and fair. Their service department is very capable and helpful as well. I feel lucky to have a place like that right here in East Wakefield!

Excellent customer service and very good pricing. We bought a Hearthstone stove from them and had it and the chimney installed by their team six years go. The price for the stove and installation was much less than other quotes we had received (we live in SW Maine and checked w/ competitors as far east as Kennebunk). We've been extremely happy with the stove and setup and have recommended this business to family.

Interesting wood/pellet stove shop with all their rustic/woodsy decorations for around the home/cabin. Lots of wood and pellet stoves for sale with some coal stoves to be in future inventory. Lots of wood/pellet stove accessories you didn't know you wanted! Great shop that we found to get replacement parts for our 40+ yr old wood/coal stove that they made themselves... Nice, very helpful staff.

Went in person to pick up part I had found on line. Just a quick run for parts to a back road in Sanbornville. To my surprise the place is great. A line of new mowers and snowblowers line the outside front of showroom. Inside we met Cory, who could not have been nicer and happened to be the manager. There must be close to 100 new stoves lined up. All were shiny and dust free as were the myriad of accessories. Showroom is clean, tastefull and organized, showing effort that someone cares. They had my uncommon part in stock and seem to stock a huge number of parts, likely as part of their parts mail order business. They also have an interesting assortment of rustic/cabin type gifts and novelties you don’t see everywhere. The whole visit left us feeling good and recommmend this place for any stove problem, part or question.

My experience at Woodman's from my first step through the door to the last fire I had in my new woodstove! Scott B. has to be the absolute BEST and MOST HONEST salesperson I have met. He spent hours with us helping us make the right decisions for our cabin, as well as organizing the removal and replacement of your VC gas stove.
The installers were equally as professional and experts at their jobs. They were clean, efficient , and knowledgeable.
I would, and will. without a doubt choose Woodmans, and Scott, again for any needs I may have and have recommended them to friends.

I recently ordered a custom made fireplace screen from Corey @ Woodmans and it was a great experience. The staff were so friendly and patient and the screen looks awesome and came in earlier than expected. I would highly recommend this family owned business. Worth the trip!

A very nice place, nice showroom and helpful staff, the small engine repair shop is top shelf too.

Update, a few years later and my above statement is still accurate. A great place to do business. All kinds of stoves, accessories and cool stuff.

I called woodman's forge to see about a repair on my fireplace, the receptionist I talked to was very knowledgeable in fireplaces and knew exactly what my problem was, even though they did not sell this fireplace they were willing to send out a repair tech, to do my repair, the tech. Kevin was extremely knowledgeable, in what he was doing and once he started did not stop till the repair was complete, he also repaired problems left from a previous repair. I would highly recommend woodman's forge, and I would not hesitate using them again

I've purchased a couple of Jotul stoves as well as parts from Woodman's over the years. They have everything in terms of product and parts. The sales staff are very knowledgeable and, in my experience, they get you the product that's right for you rather than the most expensive one and have a good sense for when you need hand-holding and advice and when you just need them to process a transaction.

I had my Harmon pellet Stove cleaned which I bought from Woodman's. As always service was incredible. I highly recommend Woodman's for all your pellet stove needs.

What a wonderful group of people. Very helpful and extremely pleasant. The merchandise is top notch. We bought a woodstove and couldn't be more pleased. Thank you for all your help and suggestions! We will definitely be making Woodman's a regular stop.

Cory helped us deal with the manufacturer to fix a faulty battery backup. He treated us well, with patience, and helped troubleshoot everything from start to finish to be sure we got the situation resolved.

Great customer service! I needed a part for my snowblower and Ken was great...so helpful...would recommend for part and services...also bought my wood stove from them 15 years ago...still going strong!!!
