House of Lo

Been looking for good authentic Chinese food for years. Ever since the Nankin and then Asia in Fridley closed I’ve been on a quest. In Buffalo this past Saturday for Ladies Day Out and stopped at both Chinese restaurants. This one won out. The chicken chow menu was exactly what I was hoping for. Small cut celery with ground chicken, nice brown sauce and just a hint of sweetness. Got mine with the onions. Going back on Tuesday to try the egg foo young and barbecued fried rice. And of course more chicken chow mein.
Not much atmosphere but it’s takeout only so who cares!!!

Nice place been wanting so shrimp fried rice. Saw this place coming from the license MDOS. Will go again.

I love House of Lo, I always look forward to the Cream Cheese Wontons whenever I am in town. The staff are incredibly friendly and I always order 2 orders of cream cheese wontons, even though I am severely lactose intolerant.

I dont know if they are open for on-site dining...but to go orders are fast and large portions.

1st visited 18 years ago and when I come through town they are always one of my stops. Worth the 60 minute drive.

10/10 excellent service and food! The American food is also really good, the juiciest burger I've ever had! Family owned and run, and some of the nicest people I've ever met.

Best Chinese food on the planet I come here weekly. My family always asks me how I’m not sick of it cause I get the same thing every time, chicken fried rice with chicken chow mein and it slaps every time. Also I drive 40 min one way to eat here and it’s worth it. You won’t be disappointed it’s not house of lo quality. 10/10 recommend

Excellent food for the past 30+ years I've been going there. Staff and atmosphere are very relaxed. Chicken chow mein is incredible. The only thing stopping y from eating 2 orders is the fullness after the first. Can't go wong on taste here.

The food here is fantastic! Everytime it is hot and tastes fresh. Big portion size so everyone is full. The owners and staff work hard, are nice and care about the product they sell. I would recommend House of Lo to everyone!

This is a great FAMILY RUN restaurant that has been in this business for years and years. I love their food and it's ALWAYS consistently good quality. They need to update the dining room, but that's it. Best Chinese in the County. I actually would give them four stars, but I read the review of the little twit, whom couldn't use his Mommies credit card (below) and this family doesn't deserve that hatred.

I've had Chinese food from Fargo, the Twin Cities, etc. No place compares to House of Lo. No matter what you order, it tastes amazing & feels like home. Only unfortunate thing is that they're closed Sunday's & Mondays. If I had it my way, I'd have it every day.

This is the best Chinesse food restaurant I ever tasted! The food was so fresh and full of flavor. The lady I dealt with was very helpful. Can't wait to go to this place again when I am in the area!

This was my first time getting take out from here and I’m blow away! The chow main is amazing!!! I will be coming back a lot!

This is the best Chinese food I've ever had -- anywhere. Cream cheese wontons are incredible with their house recipe dipping sauce. I had a reasonable portion of freshly made sesame chicken, perfectly cooked fried rice, and two wontons with sauce for the $5.75 lunch price. Too good to pass up.

Been coming here for almost 30 years. Have since moved out of town but still insist on this place if anyone recommends Chinese. We will make the 50 minute drive haha.
Everyone who’s never had it and then tried it also agrees, it’s hands down the best.

I have eaten here all my life. Yes the check or cash only is a bit antiquated but they have the best pork fried rice I've ever eaten. I have been around the country and have never had anything close. Nothing real fancy just good flavor, hearty and simple done right every time. They use real fresh eggs and ingredients. Not stuff that just comes in a bag. If you are expecting some artistic looking masterpiece of Asian fusion, over priced, mass produced garbage, go to P.F. Changs. Of you want a good home cooked meal come to House of Lo. Saying the chow mein looked like slop. I don't know what you expect. All Chow mien looks that way.

House of Lo is my favorite Chinese restaurant in the world. My wife and I have eaten there many times; it's been perfectly delicious every time. FYI, closed mondays, cash & check only.

Favorite Chinese restaurant ever! Been eating here since the 70's. Good fresh food, made to order. Great owners!

Tough to beat the prices for the portions. Have never been disappointed by the food. Just make sure you have cash as they don’t accept cards.
