Stayed in room 224. Huge king suite with a double whirlpool tub. Always super clean and I love how the room is set up with the bathroom behind the bedroom/living area. Standard amenities. Has a great staff that are always super helpful. Nice size pool and hot tub and free coffee and tea available 24/7 in lobby. There's a Kwik Trip and wonderful Mexican restaurant within walking distance and Walmart and Culver's/McDonald's are a block away so it's a great location to stop! I stop here twice a year and highly recommend.

The AmericInn is by far the most spectacular hotel I've stayed in while on assignment. The rooms are SUPER clean (corners of bathrooms included - huge!!), sleek, and have a nice modern touch without being too over the top. The beds and pillows are super comfy. I've had the pleasure of staying on the north end and the view is simply magnificent. Trees and wildlife in abundance. So serene.

I love that coffee is offered around the clock. I work the night shift and love grabbing a cup as I head to work at 7:00 p.m.! After my shift, I arrive for breakfast. I enjoy making my breakfast sandwich with a toasted English muffin, egg, and sausage patty. Certain days, I opt for yogurt, a hard boiled egg, and an orange or apple. I then retreat to my room and have SOUND sleep until I leave for my shift again.

The staff shines and I'm certain that has everything to do with having a great manager and leader. Every member of staff I've interacted with has been pleasant, punctual, professional, and polite!! This speaks volumes where too often manners and simple kindness have gone by the wayside. I've had the pleasure of talking with Kathy, the manager/owner?, a couple times. In my interactions with her, it's easy to see why the AmericInn is a well-oiled machine. I look forward to future stays here and look forward to eventually taking a dip in their beautiful pool, then a soak in the hot tub!

Great hotel I will definitely stay there again the suite was alot bigger than the pictures show. Highly recommended!

We just finished breakfast at AmericInn in Wausau. Breakfast is ‘til 10am and we were not at all rushed. It was one of the best hotel breakfasts we’ve had. Fresh fruit, I had a good banana, hard to get in hotels, and I had the eggs with hot sauce and also oatmeal. They had eggs with sausage in a warmer - cheese in cooler, waffles, lots of cereal and yogurt choices.
We had a good quiet night and it was very clean.
They must take good care of their pool because I saw a few people come in to use the pool as we were eating breakfast.

The good: Very friendly staff, great room, continental breakfast, plus a few gluten-free options which i need, but did not expect them to have. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and hot apple cider are all set in the lounge. The pool area was nice and clean. Close to shopping, restaurants, gas stations, and stores. Also had a few coupons for local restaurants.

Negatives: The hot tub timer was busted, so it ran for random times. Side door key card only works for certain hours, but the hours are not posted on the outside, so you might have to go to the main entrance. There was no salt out on the sidewalk or parking lot, but had it under the awning in front where the ice and snow was not an issue. So coming and going was rather difficult (and a bit scary). And the toilet in our room was dirty(poop on the lid), that's why only 4 stars for the room.

Great location and well kept hotel. Service was good from the time I called to make sure our 2 rooms were near each other, all the way through our stay and check out. We had to upgrade to a king suite to be next to family and WHAT A ROOM! Plan to stay here again if we need to until our house is done.

One of the best motels we have ever stayed at. The price, service, cleanliness and staff are second to none! If we are anywhere near this motel, we would certainly stay there again.

Drove 11 hours and forgot about crossing the time zone, but they still let me check in early. One of the nicer hotels in the area and probably the best room I've ever gotten myself. I usually spend the first part of my day lounging around waiting for friends to get off work, so I got to know the staff a bit as they were all very friendly and conversational. I'm looking forward to staying here again in a few weeks.

Was in Wisconsin for a family wedding. After long drive they let us check in early..Very friendly staff.
Hot tub saved the day!!

Stayed here on business a couple weeks ago. I wanted a nice, clean simple hotel and I definitely got it here. Room was very clean and bed was comfortable. Staff was very nice and attentive. Breakfast was very basic like in other similar hotels but did the job. I would stay here again if in the area.

Overall our experience was good. We hoping to be able to checkin a little early to get ready for a wedding we were attending that day. Unfortunately, they could not accommodate us. (I am sure everyone being shorthanded on help was part of the issue). When we did get in the room was clean, well stocked, and very comfortable. The morning breakfast was well stocked and very good. We would definitely stay there again.

Everything about our stay was top notch! Most hotel rooms have very dim lighting, but not the case here, which we greatly appreciated. We went on a 4 night trip around Wisconsin and this was by far the best place we stayed at. The beds were comfortable and we really liked the walk in shower. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable!

This little town has a lot to offer. We enjoyed our night stay as we were heading farther North. Breakfast had so many options and was very family friendly. Robin greeted us with a smile and made our stay enjoyable. Pool had a few life jackets and pool noodles for kids to play with. The rooms were very clean and updated!

Surprisingly good hotel. Merrill is a SMALL town, but this hotel was awesome. Cleanest hotel I've been to in a while, awesome housekeeping, very friendly and helpful staff. Definitely a nice pool and hot tub as well. Highly recommend

Everything was great with my stay, and it was also wonderful to have a good restaurant right next door!

Great value, clean and well lit rooms. Very comfortable beds and nice amenities. I didn't use the pool but my mom and her cousin said it was a very nice temperature, and it's open until midnight. The breakfast had a decent variety (waffles, eggs and sausage, yogurt hot and cold cereal and local bakery items) and the coffee was good. Would definitely recommend it to anyone staying in the area.

Every time we are in town we stay there with our kids. Great customer service to start! The rooms are very clean and very nice. Our last trip, we made a mistake choosing our rooms (not enough sleeping area for 3 kids) we went to the front desk, they switched our room free of charge to the perfect room for us. They have a nice pool and very good breakfast options.

Stayed here for Two weeks for a work trip. Rooms are clean and well kept. Everyone was friendly.

Our stay at AmericInn by Wyndham in Merrill was excellent. Our room was spotless and the bed very comfortable. Staff was very friendly and respectful. The breakfast are was spacious and seating respected social distancing. We will see you this winter for outdoor activities.
