While out of town for a weekend get away with my boyfriend we wanted sushi and stumbled across Taste.... when I say easily one of our most memorable stops over the weekend. THE most well cooked Filet I have had in my entire 26 years (and my mans 24), I literally haven't stopped telling people about it. We also had the egg drop soup and hummus, both so good and I really appreciated the plating with the hummus. I had an espresso martini which could have been better, but the service and food made up for that. 12/10 try a "taste" and you'll understand.

We came to South Haven for our first wedding anniversary trip and wanted some delicious food! We came to Taste twice, once for lunch and dinner. We both LOVED it each time we went. The food was absolutely amazing and the prices shocked up! It was so affordable for such great food! There is a great variety of things to try, the staff was awesome, and did we mention the food was amazing?! I wish there was a Taste near us!

Had an excellent time Heidi was great and everything was perfect! Food is delicious quite remarkable in fact. We had the, scallops, blue gill fish tacos, turkey sandwich, and the Korean BBQ chicken. Prices weren't as bad as I thought they were going to be either. Nice and dark in here it's comfortable and relaxing. The drinks are on point, dirty martinis are fantastic. Definitely try this place out if you're in South Haven.

The food, from appetizer to dessert, was excellent. The prices were decent. I've eaten at several establishments attempting to prop themselves up as something special beyond the typical family restaurant or diner...and many price themselves pretentiously, I guess, in an effort to appear "high end." Taste did not do this with their prices. The cost was lower than I expected with food of this caliber.
The staff were all friendly (I was there for my birthday) and every member from our server, the hostess, and the young man clearing the table, wished me "happy birthday.". All-in-all, a good experience.

Wife and I decided to give Taste a try and we have heard lots about it. The food is amazing, great combo of flavors. The sushi was very fresh and amazing. Good experience and great atmosphere.

Went back again and ordered different food this go around, the seafood dip is packed with flavor and the pita that comes with it is a perfect match. The filet bites are seasoned to perfection and so tender. The potato pancakes surprised me as I didn’t have much hope for them but good combo of flavors if you like to expand your pallet. Then the blue gill just wow, it was soft and buttery and paired with their what I think was ranch was just so good. Now onto dessert the tiramisu, while this isn’t something I normally like, but it is exceptionally good

Everything was amazing. Our server was very nice and attentive. We got the seafood dip first, I think it's my favorite one I have ever had. I had a filet that was perfect! It's also 10 Oz which is very fairly priced.

Everything was delicious here we had spicy sushi, mac & cheese, filet bites, Jerk shrimp, Koren BQQ, and some more stuff. This place is mostly for people in groups of 4 or more to share food together. Because you get mini plates of food and you just share. It took about 10 minutes to get our food, and that's not that long, and there was no wait, but there usually is a wait. We came here around 12:43 p.m. and had lunch and explored the town, and the town is beautiful! In conclusion, this is a place to go during your trip to South Haven! But it was a little expensive because we spent $150 but it was worth it.

Really great experience here. South haven is a cool town, and this restaurant has a lot of unique choices all made to perfection. The cookie pie might be the best dessert I’ve ever had. Dan M was also a great server!

Food was indeed fresh and delicious like other reviews mention :) Here is the Mac N' Cheese, Korean BBQ chicken, and scallop scampi, all delicious and not too filling or heavy! Sauce of that scallop scampi was so good. I didnt realize there wouldn't be any pasta but it was for the best, less carbs and I didn't feel too full afterwards :)

This was our 2nd time at Taste and each time has been it's own experience and absolutely fantastic!! We were blown away with the Korean Barbecue, the Cuban Shrimp, and the Blue Gill!! You really can't go wrong with anything you order and I can almost guarantee the flavors you experience will leave you wanting to try more and more small plates! Highly recommended if you're in the area!

Met with friends for lunch. First visit for all of us and it was absolutely delightful. To start with the waitress Ellie was very nice and patiently explained everything to us. We had potato soup, tomato soup, artichoke hearts, cuban shrimp, scallops, potato pancakes, fish tacos and salmon. All the food was seasoned and prepared to perfection. Prices are surprisingly reasonable. The atmosphere is friendly and inviting. A good selection of drinks is also available with martinis and craft beers. In short it is a great experience and value for the money. We will definitely be back. Check out their Web site. They have display allergy specific menu items. So convenient.

You want to call when they open to be put on the waiting list. I had a two hour wait last night and dined in around 830 pm. So while waiting we went back to walking around even had time to get in the water.
Outdoor dining was worth the wait time. Nice ambiance and the plates are delicious. I would recommend the sweet and sour shrimp, fish tacos & the salmon. We regret not ordering more, it was so good!

We decided to eat here on our overnight trip to South Haven. The waiter was kind and informative, the energy in the building was amazing and the food was some of the best food we have ever had the pleasure of eating and the drinks were phenomenal. We look forward to coming back and trying even more things!!!

Is the best place to go. Hands down. The best food, the best staff, the best owners. The best place to be. They have lots of "small" dishes so it is fun to go and get a few to share so you can taste lots of different options.

The Mac and cheese is legendary and you need to check the specials board for the Mac of the week. The sushi is great (and the only sushi in town), fish tacos are a staple and the blackened chicken. And I would highly suggest getting the bread and butter to start with. The bread is salty and comes out warm with super tasty garlic butter.

They also have sandwiches and burgers if you do not want to do small plates.

We decided to try some of the small plates to share. Started with the seafood dip and followed with the jerk shrimp with coconut rice and a slider special. Everything was delicious. The jerk shrimp was by far my favorite. Looking forward to trying more next time.

The small plates are good sized. Four to five small dishes should be more than enough for 2 people.

Elderberry martini was delicious. The chefs special hummus was black bean hummus which was really tasty. The Korea BBQ chicken was a bit too sweet for my liking.

A place to eat delicious, gluten free, vegan and gluten filled food dishes. The dinners are served in smaller portions allowing you to pick a variety of dishes to sample. Go with a group a people and you get to sample more on the menu. I had the Cajun shrimp and lime cream Salmon plus some french fries and deep fried brussel sprouts. Of course I shared this delicious food with two others. The staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about food allergens. Enjoyed the visit.

My girlfriend and I’s go to in south haven. They have little dishes and you can order about 3-5 between the two of you. An awesome idea. I’ve probably had about 10 total now and I haven’t been disappointed once. Great drinks. Service is pretty good considering on nice Saturday’s these servers are having non stop tables after tables. Shoutout to Melinda who has helped us have a great time twice now. Busy days the wait to get a table can be long, but it’s so worth the wait.

This is my third time at taste, and I haven’t been disappointed yet!! First of all their sushi?!!! Is DELISH! My bf hates sushi, and taste has been the only place to change his mind ;) it’s spectacular! This time I came with my son for dessert, our server was Melinda! She was a wonderful server & very attentive. We ordered the bread pudding dessert and it’s flavor is mouth watering good! :) I ordered my very first dirty martini! Which was amazing as well. If you wanna try a great restaurant, this place won’t let you down!

Love this place. Traveled to South Haven from Chicago each of the last three years. Taste has been carried out three times and this was our first time dining in!

Everything is always solid. Tonight was the "Backyard BBQ Mac" (pulled pork and potato chips over mac and cheese), fish tacos, Korean BBQ chicken, California roll and beet salad.

It's shocking that the same place can nail that variety of dishes and they've done it every time we've ordered from them.
