It's hard to put into words - we visited the store numerous times. The variety of new and used merchandise is fabulous. We have purchased many things so when my office was moving and looking for new items - I visited a couple places closer to our location and then decided to go to Michalsen's. I found what I liked. Tom visited our new location and we discussed the sizes best for the rooms. We purchased complete units for 4 offices, a conference table, chairs, etc. They were professional - they were delivered and setup in a timely fashion. Jump ahead 1 yr - we needed more office furniture and I reached out to Tom. He was awesome to deal with and again - they came through. I trust them to be there when they say, to supply you with quality constructed pieces. Don't go anywhere else!

Great service from everyone involved in the order, purchase and delivery of our new Champion safe. From start to finish this was a great experience and everyone was easy to work with. If they weren’t able to answer my question they had someone within minutes that could. Delivery guys were knowledgeable and very caring to not damage my home during the install of this heavy safe.

Just went window shopping with my wife. Very pleasant experience. No pressure to buy when talking with Tom the man at the counter. Will be back when ready to make a purchase for used desk and chair. Large selection of new and used office furniture. Tom was very patient and helpful with no rush.

I don't know why this place doesn't have more reviews. If you need an office chair or desk, do yourself a favor and just come here. Staff are super nice and knowledgably, just tell them the styles you like and try what they have, chance are they will have exactly the style you are looking for at a really good price. If you sit all day long at a computer, you owe it to yourself to make sure your chair isn't awful.

I was looking for a chair and desk with a friend for over a week and couldn't find anything good anywhere, and I got both in our first visit to MIchalsen. It's so much better being able to actually sit in chairs to try them all out.

Hands down the BEST place in the stateline area for both new and used office furniture. They really stand behind everything they sell, both used and new. Never had any problems either fixing or replacing a chair when the pneumatic cylinder goes bad. Let's face it, eventually ALL cylinders go bad. You can't go wrong doing business with these folks.

Fantastic deals for used office furniture. My second purchase from then went as good as the first. Came all the way out to my office in Dekalb and set up my stuff. Very professional and courteous as usual. Will be back again.
