Calvary Chapel Rockford

We're new to Calvary Chapel (2 weeks in a row) and have to say we are impressed so far. Pastor Charlie speaks a lot of truth and it's refreshing honestly. Worship is a good blend of modern Christian songs, but also has some hints of old hymns splashed in with a modern tune. We're really hoping this is where we're going to settle. It's tough to find good balance in today's Church.

Ever since switching to this church my life has started to change drastically. The growth I've experienced in my relationship with God is crazy. And that's due to the unique and real fellowship this place has to offer. The leaders here are bold and passionate. The Gospel news here is real and potent, unlike many churches where it's just for social purposes and status. It's an authentic family. Plus, there are many ways to get involved as this church continues to grow. So come and check it out if you're looking for a church family who centers on Christ's love & grace, instead of pretending to be perfect.

I've never felt more welcomed. We started attending because we were looking for a new church. The 1st service we went to we were impressed. We continued to attend and I asked if I could meet with the Pastor. He met with me with no problem or hesitation. I was able to ask him the questions I needed to concerning doctrine. I am thankful for this Church, we have no doubt that God directed us here. Pastor Charlie is open and honest, but more importantly he is biblically sound, they teach from the bible. They have a great school and great Staff. Very Family oriented and multiple service opportunities available.

The best church I have ever found. I truly believe that the Holy Spirit is working within this Church. I also wholeheartedly support what they are trying to accomplish in their Christian private school by actually preparing children to be productive members of society with faith in God, our Creator and a relationship with Jesus Christ put first.
It is bold teaching from the pulpit and is centered on the teachings of Jesus Christ and the Bible, verse by verse. Not many topicals. You don’t come to this church just to be made to “feel good” and to be told pray for money and wealth like at some of those apostate megachurches that have their priorities on what success is all out of whack. You come here to here to hear the Truth and the Word of God and it is honestly the most refreshing thing ever! And the people are the kindest and friendliest folks that I have ever had the pleasure to meet! So blessed and thankful to have found Calvary Chapel, can’t imagine going anywhere else! Calvary Chapels always seem to have amazing pastors and Charlie Heffelfinger definitely meets those high standards!

Calvary Chapel Rockford is something I did not know existed in the area: I did not know there were people genuinely seeking and relating to our Living Christ and Gods Word without any predisposing lens of denomination nor Bible scholar (though all Christians are of course welcome to attend and retain their methods and perspectives in relation to God) right in town! CCR is a great place for sinners desiring better, true seekers of the Lord, and those who crave fellowship and conversation with open minded and thinking Christians. Non-judgmental, very friendly atmosphere and people of all ages, and a Pastor who engages any and all individuals seeking direction, correction, conviction, counsel, support, interpretation and making sense of Scripture, or even a chat about mundane life or daily happenings- no appt needed. CCR is not the biggest congregation in the world, but it is intimate and personal, and those wanting to connect to Christ and the Holy Spirit within, check your heart if this message isn't God leading you there! I am blessed to have Calvary Chapel Rockford in my life!
