We were walking on the levee, and we noticed the solar panels on the City building. The City Engineer was nice enough to give us an explanatory "tour" of the solar set-up. We enjoyed our visit with him.

Bill is an incredible ambassador to Galena! He is so knowledgeable about the area and safely transported our group from our hotel to the downtown area. On the way, he educated us about the restaurants downtown and where to go out. He really helped us navigate the city for my bachelorette weekend!

Local government needs shaken up...they've become too complacent

I parked here over a weekend to charge my car. I didn't notice that it was also a PAID parking lot too! Nothing like getting hit with a $35 FINE just for feeling up my vehicle! I hope CITY HALL starts charging gas vehicles to stop at the pump! I'd also like to get money back for subsidizing gas prices with tax money when I don't even use gas.

Visited Galena, IL and was shocked that the city did not follow local or state mandate on mask wearing. With the incline of Covid-19 in this county, this is both alarming and socially irresponsible! NOT WORTH THE RISK!
