Personally I've bought fish from them several times, will definitely return in the future! Their fish are some of the healthiest and hardiest I've seen. MUCH better quality than Petco, and at least 1/2 off compared to their prices!!! Staff and especially owners are extremely friendly. Pet stores like this are quite sadly a rare sight, it's a crying shame. I support them whenever I can. :)

I have bought 2 macaws, a Spanish love bird and several other pets from this place, all have been healthy. John is extremely knowledgeable about the pets they sell, especially the fish. If you have any questions he is always there to help. I don't buy from anyone else. Great work Hardware and Pets...

Very friendly, prices good. Never had any problems with pets or merchandise. If you need anything ordered or have questions or concerns they are always happy to help. Unlike other pet places in the area, you don't have to wait forever to get help. Fast friendly service. I highly recommend this store.

I love this pet store!! They have the best prices around. They have just about anything and everything you need or want for your pets. The people that run the shop are so friendly and very helpful. I won't take my pet needs any where else. Thank You for having such a great place to find what I need for all of my pets.

I've been going here since I was a teen. It has a very home style feel and appeal. You find most things you need. If you don't let them know and they most likely can order it. Anytime I've ever had a tank problem John usually knew what the problem was and had the stuff on hand to remedy it. His Mom is the sweetest person to talk to and knows a few things herself. I've always loved the fairness of their prices and if I didn't I can always haggle LOL I Love this Store!!!

Extremely knowledgeable about fish. Both freshwater and marine. Will generally discourage people from making bad decisions. Offers ample help and advise to DIYers. Great selection of test kits and chemicals. Way beyond Petco. Better quality of livestock as well. Not as wide, but generally larger and more selective. Will take care of you if you have a problem.

It is awsome there! I love their bird, Kira. If you shop, looking at the hamsters, she will scream hello at you:) And super cheap rodent cage accessories! I definitely recommend going here:)

This is my favorite pet store in the area! Knowledgeable staff, super fun to look around (they even sell little what boys throughout as well), and great selection of products and pets! Thank you guys for so many years of service!

This is by far the best pet store in the area. Prices are great and the employees are very knowledgeable and super helpful. I would recommend going to this place over any other.

Owner and Employees: Friendly and knowledgeable. I learned a bit about sponge filters I hadn't known before.

The store: the store seems to have been around a long time. The floors are clean, the shelves well stocked, with new things and a few things that I was sure were out of production. You'll also find some large used fish tanks(some unfortunately converted to terrariums by the previous owner)

The animals:

Fish: Most of the store is dedicated to aquariums and the fish kept in them. They may seem unkempt with filter equipment visible and some of the freshwater tanks showing some green algae and green moss, and a few saltwater tanks with that brown and green algae(?). Except for a Giant Pacu (it was the size of a dinner plate maybe bigger) with some tissue damage on its nose, all the fish from the bettas to the Discus looked bright and healthy.

I talked to the owner(?) and he said he gets his fish and/or plants stocked every Tuesday (or was it every other Tuesday?)

Birds: They didn't have a large selection. A pair of sun conures, zebra finches, a sort of deep green parrot, and some ring necked doves. All the cages were clean as can be, and none of the birds showed any signs of disease, distress, or fear when I approached the cages ...well except the finches,those birds are always flinchy.

Rodents:
Rats! they had piebald rats. so cute. and yet I personally dislike rats. They had some babies(daaawwww), teenagers, and adults. All seemed well tamed and clean(well as far as pet rats go)

There were mice as well, looking healthy and well cared for.

Guinea pigs: Clean and friendly.

well I think that's all, so why not give them a visit?

This has to be my absolute favorite pet store. They have a little of everything and I love it. They have great prices, and very good staff.

I've went here for my pet/reptile needs for many years. Great local business with friendly owners who are very knowledgeable and have decent prices compared to local chain pet stores.

Used to shop here a lot had lots of fish fresh and saltwater kittens feed rabbits parrot lots of things the owner was wonderful miss her a lot
