Andresen's Cafe

Great food, service and atmosphere! Found this cafe on route back to Chicago off of Route 57. Love the old cafe decor with modern features. Bathrooms are clean!

Quant old school breakfast diner. On the road from Memphis to Milwaukee. We were actively looking for an early morning breakfast.

This was our third stop, the first two were breakfast buffets. They were definitely not what we were looking for.

We were quite pleased as we walked in. Food, service and atmosphere were all on point for what our hearts desired.

A local gas station attendant recommended this cafe as we passed through town and asked if McDonald's had indoor seating.

Boy are we glad we took her word for it! Great, down home country breakfast that reminded me of my late mother's cooking!

Very friendly and welcoming staff for these out of towners! If we ever come back through we will definitely stop in again!

We could have even had a meet & greet with the mayor and had pie if we had more time!

If you're looking for a cheap, hole-in-the-wall spot for no-frills breakfast, this is it. The food is simple and delicious, especially the biscuits and gravy! Our server was sweet and she kept my coffee cup filled.

We were staying at a local campground and stopped in here for their Friday night all-you-can eat fish dinner. The fish was great and it was stacked so high on the plate that we didn't have to ask for a second serving. The restaurant started in 1927 and many of the items are original including the booths you sit in. If we ever find ourselves in this area again we will definitely come back.

This is quickly becoming one of my favorite places! My Girlfriends invited me along when I became part of the Senior Citizen's Club 😆! What a gem I have been missing out on! 😍

Searched for local eatery while traveling I-57 and found Andresen’s Cafe. Walked inside and I could tell this cafe was the local hot spot for lunch. Ordered two cheeseburgers, fries, and drinks. Cheeseburgers featured fresh sliced farm tomatoes. The cheeseburgers patties were too thick but I could taste that they’re homemade. Also, ordered one coconut pie and one chocolate peanut butter pie. Didn’t receive the coconut pie but received a chocolate pie instead. Both pies were homemade cream pies and they were delicious.

This is what's left of 3 eggs Sunnyside up 2 sausage patties breakfast potatoes toast and a side of gravy.it was so good I had it eaten before I remembered to take a picture of it.my coffee never got cold or empty. Waiter was very nice and did not hover .two thumbs up if I had a third hand it would be three👍👍👍

The Southern Illinois version of a meat & three. Pot roast, green beans, mashed potatoes, and Brussel sprouts. Proof you don't have to be in the deep south to have amazing southern style home cooking.

Anderson's has Great food that is reasonably priced with good sized portions. I can recommend the Chicken & dumplings. They where excellent. Sundays are crowded so come early. Wait staff was amazing. The renovation is beautiful, with a historical perspective. If you're looking for a nice hometown feel this is your restaurant.

I can't believe we had this amazing small town diner in our "backyard" for two years and just went for the first time. First tastes great and service was so friendly. We will be back.

Local place with good food and good service. Barbeque sandwich was excellent; the queen enjoyed her fried chicken. About five minutes off of interstate 57. Quaint historical building Nice local place to chill and enjoy a meal.

Down home country cookin'. Good food and service. Prices are down to earth.
Pass up the restaurants in Mt. Vernon and Marion, stop in Johnston City and eat here.
