Karson, Cam, Julia, and the history major Shelby who we’re very entertaining. we had the most amazing meal. You must go here for dinner and just to experience the history of Galena hands-down the best place and will definitely be back highly recommend it. I can’t say enough also you have to have the blue cheese soup.

Got the walleye. It's Canadian eh. Started with French onion. Didn't see the lady in black but I kept glancing thru the door hoping to catch her out. Historic hotel. Stephen Douglas, Abraham Lincoln and US Grant have all stayed there.

Be sure to book your stay during their Sunday Breakfast buffet! My favorite will always be their hashbrown casserole and a nice slab of medium rare brisket😋 pair that with an orange mimosa and that's heaven right there 🫶

We stayed at DeSoto House and got breakfast from Courtyard twice. The Apple Compote French Toast was so good! I wish I got it the second day too. The lemon blueberry crepes were good but now I'm craving the apple French toast again. It didn't need syrup. The heavy whipped cream was a perfect compliment for it. My husband loved it too!

We also ate at the Generals Restaurant and the pasta dishes were very good. Their bread/herb butter was amazing. Sarah, the server, was phenomenal. Very friendly and personable.

Our breakfast was perfect! Love the open atmosphere. We had a very detailed order and our wait staff was on it! Thank you for a beautiful start to our morning.❤

My wife an I stayed at the Desoto House this week and we loved our stay. We paid about $10 extra for two complimentary breakfasts (includes tip) at the Courtyard Restaurant, and it was completely worth it. We both got delicious skillets (normally $9 a piece) that reminded me a lot of home cooking. The eggs were terrific and biscuits and gravy were seasoned well. Our server was also excellent and did such a good job that we made sure to give her an extra tip.

We ordered veggie omelette and waffles.

The food was awesome

The seating and the interior is historic. Very nice experience.

The order got lost and it took 45 minutes to arrive. The server was nice enough to voluntarily offer to wave our entire bill and we dinned for free.

I absolutely am in love with this place the people are amazing and very friendly. They knew what they was selling. Waitresses had excelent customer service.

Wonderful, open restaurant on the lower level of the hotel atrium. We had a group of 12+ including a few kids, and they were happy to seat us, were very patient with us, and were happy to split into 4 checks. Great food, even better service.

The food is fantastic! I just love the staff here. So helpful and kind. This was our COMPLIMENTARY breakfast. Yes, FREE!

We stayed at Desoto Hotel had breakfast included the next morning great options got the Desoto Skillet it was tasty fresh and a side of biscuit and gravy which I haven’t had in years very authentic fresh brewed coffee was good too very busy but service was great friendly no complaints forgot to take a picture of skillet

Positively the BEST Sunday breakfast/brunch buffet in the area and at a great price. $19 for all-you-can-eat potatoes, eggs, sausage, bacon, B&G, french toast, waffles, frittata, baked ham, omelets that are made right there to order, pastries, oatmeal, desserts and some of the tastiest prime rib out there. The beverages are bottomless except for alcohol. WELL worth the price. All in a gorgeous setting, bright, cheery, pianist entertaining you as you dine all inside the oldest continually operating hotel in the US!

Amazing Sunday brunch buffet. We went at noon and enjoyed enough food to cover breakfast and lunch. Fantastic options and a beautiful indoor courtyard space to enjoy while we ate.

Best breakfast I've had in a while. Coffee was great. I definitely recommend the biscuits and gravy. Their gravy is amazing! And they had my favorite brand of sausage; Jones. We will definitely be back!

The food was cooked to perfection the cheese sauce for breakfast is a must. My husband and I came for breakfast. The waitress was polite and helpful in her recommendations. The service was fast and the food came out quickly and hot. We will definitely comeback on our next trip to Galena.
Well worth the price.

It is downtown Galena, be prepared to spend a little more. They treat you right & good food.

Man we had a great Dining experience... we had a couple sipping drinks at the Basement bar Followed by a Great Steak Dinner!

Had a fantastic breakfast here. The strawberry stuffed French toast, skillet, and biscuit and gravy were all delicious. Would highly recommend!
