Trust me, there's a reason that the low reviews on this place are full of typos by the people writing them. There's absolutely nothing wrong with this place and everything right. It's a family run business and overall, my favorite place to eat in Huntsville when I'm in town, which is about once or twice a month. I've eaten at both places this family has owned and every meal that I have is totally worth the price I pay for it. The servers are mostly all related to the owners. The head waitress/hostess is the wife of the main cook and kitchen manager so they have complete oversight of the entire process from the time the customer walks in and is greeted to how the food is prepared and served. I've always enjoyed each meal they're prepared for me and I've had several dishes over the last 2 decades. Whether you're into fried seafood, chicken fried steak, grilled pork chops or a full plate of Mexican food, you won't be disappointed. Nothing here ever appears or tastes like it came from a freezer. Everything is hand made and seasoned for each order. If you're ever in the area and want a good, home cooked meal, definitely stop by and give these guys a shot.

The best fried shrimp in town I highly recommend it.
The ribeye is awesome! I ordered mine medium rare, medium rare it was!

Bandera has the best chicken fried chicken in town. And really top notch fried mushrooms. And chicken fried steak, and marinated pork chops, and honestly I could go on for a while. Staff is super friendly, the food is good, what’s not to love?

First time going; the food was amazing, the staff, the waiters, and waitresses were all very kind and had amazing attitudes. I got the BBQ ribs OMG. they're so much better than McKenzie belive it or not. I'll definitely be going back sometime soon

Excellent fried chicken steak fried shrimp catfish salads all good excellent margaritas. This restaurant has the best chicken fried steak in Huntsville Tx. I have tried them all and none compare . The service has always been great. See Elsa she will treat you right.

Food was great, it does take a while for your food to come out but you can tell it's fresh

Been coming here for 10+ years pretty regularly. Amazing food and service every time!! Going there again Monday for lunch and can’t wait!

The food was excellent! Made to order, so it took a little longer than most places, but it was definitely worth it! Chicken fried chicken, BLT, and a Patty Melt were ordered, and everyone loved their food. I ordered a cheeseburger to go, and it was fantastic! I really appreciated that they kept everything wrapped and separated in the container so the bun wouldn't be soggy. 100% recommend!

The service and the food was All good.
We had chicken fried steaks, with fried okra , yummy.
The steak was as big as the plate and all food was yummy, with plenty of gravy.

I've been several times and always had wonderful food and service. The food was delicious today also, but the roll was completely dried out and the onions were dried out also. Normally very good.

Both my husband and I just ate the all you can eat catfish. It was the BEST we have had in forever. Their fried green tomatoes to die for. The employees here were friendly and treated us like family. Awesome place to eat if you want some great fried fish.

I had the steak and corn casserole. My son had catfish and husband had the chicken fried steak. All the food was excellent. The staff was friendly and attentive. Will def be back! Best steak I've had in a long time!

I was pretty nervous because it was noon when we came and there was only one other couple there. But the food was really good! I would come back.

Went we got there, we were the only people in the restaurant so service was good, not great. Our server was friendly but seemed like she has other things going on and didnt really want to suggest things on the menu. I asked what her favorite thing was and basically she listed everything that was pictured on the menu. Not helpful at all. By the time we left, there were two men that appeared to be regulars that got a ton of attention. As for the food. Overall, it was good and worth the try. I will probably go back to try more things on the menu since there aren't many places like this. The outside appearance of this place makes it look like they're closed down but obviously not. Took me 3 months to go there because I wasn't sure if they were open.
