Round Top Coffee Shop

This will go down in my memories as one of the most friendly, inviting coffee shops I've been to. The coffee is delicious and the staff makes you feel warm and welcome. I had the pleasure of working remote here for a couple days while my wife and mother-in-law attended the Round Top antique show. I didn't want to leave Round Top after experiencing the Round Top Coffee Shop. I'm excited to be back in Round Top to stop back in.

A cozy atmosphere with delicious coffee + pastries.
I tried the Florist, which had a distinct vanilla flavor. A lot of coffee shops have vanilla syrup that just tastes sugary, but this added a subtle sweetness that tasted really nice.
I also tried the blueberry muffin. It was moist and full of berries. Also had a subtle sweetness that tasted really good.

Review update, the Round Top Coffee Shop (originally called Espressions Coffee and Art) is still THE coffee shop in Round Top. Along with good coffee, tea and hot chocolate, they have juice , soft drinks, muffins and pastries. And they still have absolutely the best breakfast tacos in Fayette County. During the week the crowd tends to be mainly locals, except during the spring and fall antique shows, on weekends everyone goes. Great Coffee, good food, fair prices, clean restrooms and fine people, can't ask for more.

This place is fantastic!! Worth traveling to if it’s out of the way! Great coffee and good food! Very family friendly.

Immediately walked in and the owner greeted us. It’s Instagram friendly and so homey. Pictures don’t do it justice.

The owner and his wife are fantastic story tellers—the story goes they got a vision from God to open up the coffee shop… needless to say they’ve flawless executed it.

I was in Round Top recently and went to this coffee shop for my morning jolt. I found much more, although the coffee is delicious and they have a versatile breakfast offering - tacos, savory and sweet muffins, pastries, cookies, and a standout rum cake! Don’t miss this, even if you normally don’t have cake for breakfast.

Pull up a chair at the long community table inlaid with turquoise made by a local resident who you might meet there. Enjoy the local character from the coffee shop regulars. Friendly and welcoming, you will learn about Round Top folklore, the townspeople, and hear some good tips for your visit.

When Carolyn, the owner and hostess, is not slinging drinks and plates you might have a lively conversation to go with your espresso or cup of Texas Pecan. There is a library room off the main one as well if you want to do some reading.

Don’t leave town without a morning jaunt to Round Top Coffee Shop! Hours are 8-12 unless the antique show is happening.

Made the wrong turn off the road on the way to Austin and was blessed for it. Round Top is such a great town. This coffee shop was amazing. Everything we had was phenomenal. Coffee was incredible but the Caroline the owner was the highlight of this experience. Conversation was very rich.

What a cute place! Adorable porch, very nostalgic and cozy interior decor. We got Pumpkin Latte, Iced Mochas, and Texas Pecan coffee, and a few Pumpkin muffins. Everything was delicious, and had rich flavor. The owner is super sweet and welcoming

A coffee shop that is truly a breakfast cafe in the morning with their yummy buffet available if ur hungry. I really like the beans they use with their espresso drinks...great flavor to go w their friendly service. I dig the little library nook, and the outdoor seating is a plus.

From the moment we walked in the door n everyone was so friendly. Dont mind the line u might have to stand in the coffees good n so is the service. We stumbled upon it on our way to pick up our new pup. Even the other patrons were polite n welcoming. Tks yall n well be back.

What an amazing little place! Simple menu. Very friendly staff. Cozy and home feel. Just off the main road - a little pocket of quiet.

Community tables inside, umbrellas outside. Coffee specialities we're spot-on, quick counter services and staff hustling at this home-style kitchen set up. Crowds come and go, sit back and enjoy awesome tacos and people watch.

We rolled in on our bicycles, very happy for a cool spot in the shade and excellent coffee. John the owner and patrons very welcoming, even to strangers! Wonderful ambiance, recommended stop.

They have the best Tacos that I have ever eaten! Great bunt cake! Amazing atmosphere ! Love it 1M times. I have driven to eat there from Houston twice already, since I visited it first time last year in December. Going back again soon.

Great little coffee shop atmosphere. Kid friendly! The girl who made my coffee knew how to ice a latte without making it watered down!! Also shared a breakfast bowl with my picky two year old. I think we were both satisfied with the yumminess!

It's always great to stop in here and have a nice coffee and catch up with Carolyn. They offer a cozy atmosphere of great coffee, home cooked food, and authentic Round Top conversation. Their front porch is a classic and nice spot to hang out with your friends or family before walking around the area. They also have some cool candles and other gift items for sale. Coming back every time I am in the area!

Staff was most helpful when I went in to pick up breakfast for the family. Even though the Sunday morning set up was buffet style, they were most accomodating by helping me create breakfast tacos to go! The muffins were great too! Very helpful and kind - outgoing and friendly. Great service and great food is hard to come by these days all in the same place, but it is definitely here at Espressions Coffee!!!

When you walk into Caroline's coffee shop, you're not only greeted with the enticing scent of Texas Pecan coffee, but also a handful of "hellos" and "good mornings." This charming coffee shop is a center of warmth and community. Great coffee, wonderful atmosphere, and great people. If you've left the city for a day of antiquing and want to have the complete small-town experience, make sure you stop by to say hello.

Round Top is one of those way off the map places that can make your trip or vacation. This little coffee shop is warm, welcoming, and a picturesque experience of life in Eastern Texas. We stopped here on 3,000 mile road trip, and breakfast to go here was the highlight of our trip.
The sausage is savory, full of fresh herbs, and has a smoked hint of Texas. Absolutely perfect. Like any beautiful random place you find traveling this planet, the allure of Rround Top is in the people and the food. Do yourself a favor and pay a visit, and enjoy the long road of antique stores on highway 237 between Brenham and Round Top.

Pretty cool place, and don't forget to check out the shops next door in the square block.
