Cummare’s

Had Cummares in Murphysboro tonight and it left me wanting to return. Food is cooked hot and fresh to order, great flavor,and servings. We all had some to bring home! My husband had the bolagnaise, the baby had chicken and fries and I had the extremely yummy cheese tortellini with Alfredo sauce. Cannot wait to return

Delicious, quaint, old school Italian food. Make sure to snag a reservation before stepping into the late 1800's exposed brick building. Super friendly and accommodating service. Seafood ravioli and caniloni filled with seafood and rich sauce both red and white - garlic bread was very flavorful and not too crunchy, great for dipping in the extra sauce

Great restaurant. Small on the inside. Finding a parking spot was a chore. Lunch buffet was hot, fresh and delicious. Pizza was amazing as was the ravioli.

A quaint family owned Italian joint with pizza’s and creative pasta dishes. The stuffed shells Florentine with both white and red sauce was the winner at our table.

They have a lunch buffet 11-1 for 11$ with a variety of pizzas, a couple of pasta dishes, salad and garlic bread. The marinara sauce is exceptionally flavorful and delicious.

Service was good- server seemed new. I would definitely recommend checking this place out. Very reasonable prices.

The food here is delicious, a must-see if you're in town or visiting. The pizza and pasta dishes are excellent. Don't be afraid to add extras to your salad either. If you are craving comfort food or anything Italian, this is the place to go. A hidden gem 💎 in a small town. Don't walk, run, to try this place out!

Five people in our party. Each ordered something different -- Two items with marinara sauce, two with alfredo and one with pesto. All five were impressed. In addition to being delicious, portion sizes required take home leftovers and spent $20 each including tip. I would describe the decor as upscale casual. Also, seemed very clean. In short, nothing but good. We will definitely return.

WE stopped for our first meal out moving into the area. I called ahead to see if they were busy and she recommended a reservation. When we got there it was a full house but our table was ready. We were immediately approached and we enjoyed exploring the drink and food menu. We actually had two staff members helping us very friendly and helpful. They came to double check what we wanted in our mixed drinks. A HUGE pasta selection and the portions coming out looked plentiful. We are on low carb diet so we opted for the meatball app (generous for two) it was fresh, soft and delicious! We both had salads I had the Cesar snd my husband had the Antipasto salad. Prices are fine. We will definitely go back it was a nice experience.

Great little Italian restaurant. Small towns seem to have a lot of little gems like this. My wife and I had our first date in one just like it in west Texas. On this occasion we stopped in for the lunch buffet before hitting the wine trail. The pizza and pasta were both great as was the service. I hear it gets crowded for dinner so reservations are encouraged.

I have been coming here for over 12 years and have never had a bad meal or bad service. One of my favorite restaurants to eat at in southern IL.

Love this place! They were absolutely swamped with a homecoming crowd, we had no reservations, but they got us food in a decently timely manner and it was great as always. And you won't pay much more than you would at a chain or for fast food, for much better food.

The food was delicious and I really liked it a lot. I’m coming back here! The Mac and cheese was delightful and stringy-Gavin (age 9)

This place has great pizza and pasta. The kids love the spaghetti and toasted ravioli. It's small, but they are fast and the wait isn't long, if at all. They also have a small buffet at lunch time. Definitely worth a visit!

We had a reservation for 5 for my brother's 50th birthday. The seafood canelloni was awesome and the cheesy garlic bread is my daughters favorite. The prompt service and quiet atmosphere made for a great time. The best Italian food in the around at reasonable prices. Highly recommend! Make a reservation ahead of time so you are guaranteed to get a table because the seating is limited.

Best Italian food around. Cozy atmosphere. Owners are there most of the time. Good wine selection. Smaller places so it gets busy sometimes. You might have to wait a little bit during the busy times so get there early, it's worth the wait. Lunch buffet for pizza. Great thin crust authentic pizza.

For a while, they stopped the lunch buffet, but it is back!!! Lunch Tuesday- Thursday

There are not enough stars here for Cummares! I highly recommend the pizza,but the pasta was excellent too! A bit of a wait for the food, it was worth waiting for!

The food is top notch! You know how food looks unappetizing when videoed? Well, not only did it look good videoed, but beat my expectations after eating. Most definitely will return. Servers & food preparers were very nice and professional.
