Cobblestone Hotel & Suites - Newton

We live locally, and wanted a swim mini vacation. We Loved it. Have to admit the service was my favorite. Pool was perfect temp and very clean.
I plan on having a lot more mini Vacations here.
Great Service goes a long way!

Stayed here this past weekend had never heard of the hotel before. A lot of these two star hotels kind of look alike so I just went by the reviews and for me cleanliness is really important. Not only was this one of the cleanest hotels I've ever stayed in the staff was wonderful. My friend and I had a great time just hanging out and talking with Mark the general manager of the hotel after we got settled in. They have a little bar located next to the check-in desk so first they check you in and then they fix you a drink if you want one. The beds were super comfortable, the bathroom was clean and the shower had great pressure. The bathroom in the lobby of the hotel was spotless and I mentioned it to the general manager and he said well it's not as clean as I'd like it to be, and I laughed. I would definitely stay there again if I was passing through town. Sometimes some of these two star hotels will surprise you but you really have to do your research first.

We took a chance on this place as we were driving through. It was a great choice. It’s very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the water pressure was glorious. Staff were really nice. You should know that there isn’t an elevator, so book on the first floor if that’s an issue. There’s a cute looking coffee shop nearby (Flo’s Coffee) that was closed for Thanksgiving, so we didn’t have a chance to try it, but I think it’s another mark in favor of this hotel.

We enjoy staying here when we visit family nearby. The hotel has always been clean, the staff is always helpful and friendly, and they always serve up a great breakfast selection. We’re thankful to have such a nice place to stay.

My buddy and I were on a road trip looking for a place to crash so we came to the cobblestone hotel. We weren't familiar with the name and I think it was only a two-star hotel so we were little hesitant but we gave it a shot and boy are we glad we did. Do not let the two stars fool you! The place was super clean, the rooms were also very nice, spacious and also very clean. Jim, the guy that ran the front desk, was awesome and we came down to the bar after we got settled in to have a couple drinks and had a great conversation with him as it turns out he grew up not too far from us in the western suburbs of Chicago so we had a fun time talking about all our old stomping grounds. Breakfast in the morning was fairly typical hotel breakfast, nothing amazing but a good way to start the morning. Overall I would stay here again without a second of hesitation as we had a great stay. Thanks Jim!

Who would have thought that this AWESOME hotel would be in a small out of the way town?! If you want an extremely laid back and quiet place to stay.. THIS IS THE PLACE! My guy and I went here for New Years. It was relaxing. Peaceful. If we brought swimsuits, we'd have the whole pool and jacuzzi to ourselves. I think there were only 2 other guests that stayed. They have free breakfast, a bar, and a gaming room. I loved our room. Big comfortable bed, jacuzzi in the room. Very clean! If you want to venture out, there is a big bridge and a concrete trail that was very nice to walk. We will be returning.

I spent 4 days here on a business trip.
Kathy was extraordinary in customer service. And the rest of the staff was over the top in making sure my stay was to my satisfaction.
Beautiful rooms, great breakfast served everyday, very reasonable rates.
Recommend you book a room, it's worth a few miles to drive to if your in the area....

Really nice hotel and staff is awesome. Rooms are very clean, bed is comfy and shower pressure is good. Fishing Newton Lake? This is the place to stay.

Carol at the front desk is a true asset! The hotel was very clean, great amenities & quiet. The staff overall was very welcoming and helpful. We would definitely stay there again when in the area.

Fantastic place to stay. The staff were kind and helpful. When making reservations spoke with Marc. Being our first stay he gave me the scoop on all they had to offer.

The rooms were clean, nice, quiet, and comfortable.

All the finishes were nice. A night light in the bathroom would have been helpful, but truly, that's just being picky as I travel with kids.

The hotel was clean and the beds were comfortable. There was adequate breakfast selection and was quite filling. We had reserved a room for three nights to help family but were only needed for two days. The night manager Marc was gracious able to help cancel the extra day! Thank you so much, Marc!! We stay here frequently due to family in the area and have always enjoyed our stay.

My 6 year old and I stayed 2 nights while visiting relatives over the holidays. The hotel was clean and quiet. We also enjoyed the swimming pool and hot tub.

Greeted by a friendly gentleman and a welcoming smile, hooked me up with a jetted tub room. Very clean, quiet place to stay. Has a great selection at the bar up front too! Checkout in the morning was super easy and he was friendly too!

We LOVE THIS HOTEL! Beyond clean! Staff is always so nice, beds are very comfortable, rooms are good size, they have an actual hot breakfast bar and now days that is rare and food.was very good, they have a little store inside, a bar in the evenings and a room with slot machines. Only thing wrong with this hotel is, there's not enough of them around! Cobblestone needs to add more of their wonderful hotels

Checked in late, late last night and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Even saved us some fresh muffins the next morning although we slept in past the breakfast time. It's the little things that mean the most sometimes! Hospitality at its finest.

Just passing thru and found this little gem. Beds were pretty good (just preference) hotel and rooms were well kept and clean. Hospitality was found throughout the stay from check in to out. Real nice pool and breakfast, highly recommended for anyone.

Can't say enough good about this location! Excellent service, staff was very friendly and they were so accommodating. Fantastic breakfast and clean rooms with comfy beds. Very nice pool and hot tub. A little off the beaten track, but so worth it!

I was surprised at how nice this hotel was! The service was great, very friendly and it was a very peaceful stay there. It is a very clean hotel and if I'm ever in the area again, I'll definitely stay there again

A few friends and I stayed in this hotel on our way to see the solar eclipse. It's such a wonderful hotel! The staff was amazingly helpful, and we actually ended up staying an extra night because it was so nice. The breakfast selection was great, the pool was clean and a good temperature, and the room was really comfortable and clean. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone coming through Southern Illinois, and I'd stay at any of their other hotels in the chain if they're as nice as this one.

Great hotel. Staff always greets you and asks if there's anything they can do. Clean rooms and lots of extras on property. Would definitely recommend to anyone traveling through or close. Little bit off of 70 but nice drive and well worth it.
