I've been going to this bar and grill for 20+ years and they have always had great food, great service, and it's a great place to hang out and drink after hours! Only issue is that it's kinda small but we are a small town so it's not a big problem for sure!

This is one of our favorite relaxed places to eat. They always have great food and equally great service...with a sense of humor which is always a plus! Their steaks, fish, salads (with their homemade dressing) and sandwiches have always been delicious each time we've eaten there.

The chicken, bacon, ranch wrap was excellent! And so was the service

Charming little bar and grill with great service, and delicious food.
I was overwhelmed with the menu that has so many choices for appetizers, sandwiches, wraps and plate meals.
My husband got the blackened blue gill that was light, flaky and loaded with flavor. He had been before and had the fried bluegill plate and couldn't stop talking about how good it was and that he wanted to take me to try the food also. I'm glad that he did. 😋
I got a fajita wrap that was also very good with chicken, onions, peppers and just the right amount of cheese all grilled. We had a blooming onion for our appetizer, I was pleasantly surprised to see it on the menu, also very good, served with the dip on the side.
The pricing is very reasonable and you get more than enough to eat.
Very clean, great atmosphere, respecting social distancing as well with seating spaced according to guidelines.
We will definitely be back.

Awesome, jalapeño burger is perfect..

The food at Gabby's On Main was absolutely delicious! We had the catfish filet dinner with Gabby chips and baked beans and the mushroom swiss burger with potato salad. The real highlight of the meal was the bread pudding which was exceptional. The service was second to none. Do yourself a favor and go get yourself some Gabby's. Five Stars All Day 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

The food was great! It has one of the best patty cheese melts I’ve eaten. Their homemade chips are Awesome. This is saying a lot coming from Des Moines Ia. The staff were very friendly. Why do all the small towns have the best restaurants.

If you’re ever in Ava, don’t miss this place. Delicious food and great service. Check out Gabby’s Salad, chicken and dumplings, and the mushroom Swiss burger.

The food was awesome and fresh. Our server Grace was great. I recommend having the Loaded Bloody Mary and the Philly Steak Fries.

Wow! Once again, a great week hunting in Southern ill and as usual frequent trips to gabbys. Had the Fried chicken OMG! Had to peak in the kitchen to make sure my mom wasn't back there.. thanks Gibb and Dave, u guys rock

The food is amazingly good. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and it was cut in a way that they were able to fan it out over the sourdough toast. Almost too lovely to eat. I said almost. .it was delicious

Great lunch buffet on Sundays! Owner was super helpful and courteous! We loved it! Also had a private front room for our larger group at no extra charge!

I'm from Maine, so I know a good scallop when I eat one, and these scallops were on point flavor wise 👌

Gabbys is a quiet place with friendly people on both sides of the bar. Their bartenders are courtious an attentive.the food there is as good as anywhere in southern illinois.
